  1. Your oil pressure gauge should have come with an oil pressure sender unit, which is what sends the info to the gauge. As Dale said, the switch connected to the oil pressure light is an on/off one only. The best thing to do is either: buy an adaptor plate (like this Nismo one, but there are cheaper alternatives) which goes between the oil filter and the block, which is what you screw your sender into; or buy an oil filter relocation kit (like this Stagea-specific kit from Trust GReddy), which includes the adaptor plate and also moves your oil filter up near your battery, making it a lot easier to change when you do your servicing.
  2. I just came back from the Coast (stopped at Thornleigh Macca's for a quick bite @ 1.30pm) and had no troubles in the rain, even on my shitty tyres. Had a fair bit of rain on the F3, but nothing I couldn't handle and feel safe at at the speed limit.
  3. Spotted a silver s1 with polished wheels (at least, I hope they weren't those awful Chromies ) on Friday afternoon crossing my path on either Windsor Road in Parramatta/Northmead or Old Windsor Road in Seven Hills (I can't remember exactly where I was when I saw it).
  4. Agreed with all above, thanks for organising this Andrew! Food was great, and having had a look at the menu, it's so cheap too! Hmm, ideas for the next one? What area do we want to head to (or avoid)? What cuisine, too (or are we gonna stick to Asian)?
  5. Spotted a Stagea-less jebud (aka Adam) at Dural today @ 12.30pm. His s1 got written off by a taxi driver, and he showed me some photos of the wreck. The front driver's side is stuffed, both airbags went off, front driver's side tyre popped in the impact, etc. He had to get the photos developed because his computer, internet and email are stuffed, so unfortunately he can't post the photos up as yet, but he is going to try and sort that out soon.
  6. Agreed - I like the look of them too. In general, they look very European. There's something about the way the Euro's style their wagons that I love too. Hmmmm, Audi. If I was ever to swap my RS-Four for anything, it'd be an (Audi) RS4 estate.
  7. Spotted a white R34 GTR stopped at the BP servo on Prospect Highway (Seven Hills Rd) at around 6.30pm tonight.
  8. Yeah, me too. I usually go up the Coast on Thursday nights, but seeing as I'm going up there for the weekend on Friday anyway, there's no point going there only to come home and return the next day. I love Thai food too.
  9. That's a parking assistance aerial - it extends so you can see where the extremities of the car are when you're parking or exiting a spot. My cousin has one on his '33 sedan.
  10. He's making a bodykit in preparation for the release of Fast and the Furious 4 - time needs to be taken for planning so it all turns out right in the end. When the movie is eventually released, look out for Adam at the drive-ins when we have a get-together to watch the movie. <insert F&F drive-ins pics here>
  11. Sweet! We'll have to organise another Sydney/NSW Stagea cruise (or general get-together) in the near future, and we can all compare our s1 and s2 C34s to the M35s.
  12. Spotted Duncan's wagon parked out the front of the West Ryde Hotel tonight.
  13. Eggs Zachary! Fine black mesh will do the job nicely.
  14. As above, keep the wheels the same dimensions on the front and back. Sydneykid runs R33 GT-R wheels on his car, and it looks hot!
  15. Nope, not me mate. I will be heading up tonight, though...
  16. You might only "need" three cars, but I'm sure there's no reason why we can't have a support convoy for photos, etc.
  17. Spotted a white R34 GTt on Seven Hills Road at the intersection of Station Rd near the Mobil servo. I was in the Stagea waiting to turn right and he was two lanes over.
  18. Awesome news to hear, Steve-O! Having been there myself (heart and lungs) plenty of times, it's good to hear he's doing well! Makes you happy to have Australia's Medicare and public hospital system - no matter how much sh!t we put on them, many of us wouldn't be alive if we had to pay for the simplest services (like in America, according to my understanding), or not have the services available at all...
  19. Count me in too, Leshy. I'd be happy to help, so let us all know dates when you work it out. I should have some subtle mods done by mid-year, so it should work out well...
  20. Nice one, Michelle! Now, take out that Holden V6 and drop in a VQ35 with open exhausts! What was that? Rules for your racing class? What rules? Just tell them it's the new V6 from the VE series...
  21. GOLD!!!!! These days, you know you own a Skyline when you wonder for hours on end WTF you can do with it to actually make it different to the billions of others out there... You know you own a Skyline when you ask someone else "What have you done to it?", and when they say "Oh, just the usual mods..." you know pretty much that they mean they've added an FMIC, high-flow panel or a pod filter, increased the boost, fitted a PowerFC, a bigger exhaust, or any combination of the above.
  22. Stageas are better (except for the added weight ...) You won't (or very rarely will) have the police following you. You'll have other people having a higher level of brain activity, thinking "WTF is that thing?", and your car IS a shopping trolley when you need it to be (and so much more). (Boot space? Skyline? Never!) You'll look forward to driving it (and can!) You'll still make plenty of friends with owners of servo owners unfortunately... Stageas are awesome!!!
  23. I've heard and read that it's best to undo and loosen the centre bolt, but don't totally remove it. That way, if you need to use a bit of force to remove the wheel, it won't smack you in the face when it finally comes off.
