  1. YYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! You rock, Shell!!!
  2. Yep, it's in the new release of HPI. The article was written (and very well, too) by our own Andrew "nuttsHunglow" and features photos from the HPI crew, as well as E_Lu_Shun and a few others. Good article, if a little short considering how big the day was for SAU-NSW - it was our biggest Show and Shine to date, and probably would have been bigger if it wasn't for cold and the delays due to the wet weather leading up to the original date.
  3. Doof, what colour was the Stagea please???
  4. Yep, the car is still listed on their website. And the first car (the gunmetal R32 GTR) used to be owned by one of my old workmates. IN for space station meet-up!
  5. Hi, and welcome! Firstly, let me say: good choice! The Stagea is a great car, and you will be more than happy if you decide to buy one. As far as child seats go, have a look here. There are plenty of owners amongst our group who have kids and use child seats in them. Some of us even have THREE child seats in the back of theirs. I'm assuming your '94 Camry is one of the "wide body" versions, and the Stagea is roughly the same size as that, maybe slightly larger. It's not quite Commodore or Falcon sized, but it is a much better car than those two in so many ways. Fuel consumption is not really a highlight, unfortunately, as they're a heavy car with a turbocharged engine, but they can be quite good if you drive them smoothly and mostly on a light throttle. It might be slightly higher than what you've quoted, but that figure is achievable. The RWD versions are roughly 100-150kg lighter, so you *might* see some improvements there. If you have any further questions, then do a quick search within this area of SAU - most topics have been covered at least once or twice each. If you're still unsure, then feel free to ask away!
  6. "Or somebody's gonna get hurt!" I'd love to come, but I've also already exhausted my funds for the fortnight! I've gotta make sure I can make it through to NEXT weekend.
  7. Fixed! BTW, did anyone get photos of my car?
  8. It's all good! I've been experimenting with my camera, and it seems the best option is to turn off the flash and use long exposures (with the camera on a tripod or steady surface, so it doesn't move AT ALL) - just keep trying different exposure lengths until it looks right. I'm sure those with more experience will agree (Sam, Richard, etc.). Either way, car looks fking hot Mass! MP2 and the black TE37s are a great combo!
  9. I've yet to see a cooler with this layout, so no, I can't say I have. I do know that these style intercoolers exist (albeit rare), but I personally haven't seen it applied to a Stagea yet, nor seen one that may suit the job.
  10. Yep, awesome info Brazen. *Stickied*
  11. Oh I forgot one: Fastest wagon on compliance tyres and factory "offroad-height" suspension! That was awesome Nige, I remember watching you run down to the skid-pan from the BBQ to do your run, and returning in what seemed like less than 30 seconds later. I was a bit stunned!
  12. Hmmm, sounds interesting... Oh, and my cousin came over tonight and just happened to have a P1 brochure - is that a co-incidence or a conspiracy?
  13. I think I did well to earn "Fastest Stagea," didn't I? Fastest lap while picking up other people's knocked-over cones! Quickest effort in getting out of the way of a fast-approaching-and-very-sideways RX7. Oh, and my skid-pan time was 0.00.000 - beat that, everyone!!!* *I didn't go on the skid-pan.
  14. Hahaha, it was funny watching the little Starlet take off from the line, chirp seconds, then lock up the rears just as he was about to enter the first chicane EVERY TIME. I was joking to my sister the day before that it would be funny if we drove down and entered in her new Mazda3, and managed to do the same thing that Turismo did. A small car is great for those tight chicanes, and a good driver (which pretty much rules me out, and my sister isn't anywhere near experienced enough) can make up for the lack of power and handling mods. Turismo proved that the speed you can carry through those sections can quite easily make up for the lack of acceleration and speed between the corners.
  15. No way! I spotted a nice white series 1 Stagea today too, what a co-incidence!
  16. Spotted a white s1 today, HGE70W, at Norwest. It's the Targa Tasmania R32 tow car, nice unit, cool owner!
  17. So, that means you're really craving an Autech 260RS Stagea, right Matt? R33 GTR goodness in a wagon shell!
  18. Hahaha, you should see all the cars from the Texikhana yesterday, especially the ones that were on the wet skidpan! Bore water FTL!
  19. ONLY 475?
  20. Nice buy, Kris! I'm betting those photos don't do the car justice. It's really hard to bring out the beauty of an R33 in white.
  21. I can now confirm that the R33 dump pipe doesn't fit on the Stageas. The R34 one *looks* right, as it has a kink where there's a gearbox mount (or similar) near where the cat converter joins up. The problem that's been revealed to me is that even though all the Stageas are 4-door, 5-passenger cars with the same basic structure, there are apparently quite a few detail differences between individual cars, such as where the above-mentioned mount appears on my car - the guys at Unique Auto Sports said that some of the Stageas they've worked on DIDN'T have a mount in the same spot. Who knows, maybe the fact that mine's been converted to manual is a factor, and the auto box uses different gearbox mounts or something... I asked John at UAS if he'd be interested in making a series of dump pipes for the Stageas, and this was the reason he gave me as to why he would rather not invest in doing so - there's just too many variables, so having one dump and front pipe unit might work on one car, but not on another. John's a massive Z32 300ZX fan (and he races one too, as many of you would know), and he mentioned that they have the same problems with Z parts - there are 2-seater Z's, 2+2 seater versions, then the targa-top versions, and also convertibles.
  22. 'sif include the Ceffie and the 200ZR Fairlady, and not include me! *shakes fist* Stagea spottings link are in my sig, Chris!
  23. Albert's car is a manual, Adam.
  24. Even though the car might be exactly the same under the skin, etc. right through from 2001 through to 2004, the ADR's work on build date, regardless of the fact that the car has not significantly changed at all. This is why they're stuck with trying (and failing) to comply with ADR79 - the rules changed at the beginning of 2004, and emission laws became a lot tougher.
  25. FPV as in Falcon F6 Typhoon?
