I'm with Dale on this one, Grant.
Saying that an STi-specced Forester is a "race car" is a bit far-fetched. It is still just a lifted WRX with some extra mods tacked on from the factory's performance arm, and it is still meant for the street. If it was truly meant for racing, they would be using Foresters instead of WRXs in the WRC, etc.
Sure, there might be other examples along similar lines to these, such as TRD Caldinas, BMW M3 and M5 Tourings, Audi S4, RS4, S6 and RS6 Avants, and the various Merc AMG estates, but they're still just road cars modified for maximum on-road performance.
