  1. There's a 1600 wagon that gets around my area once in a while, I think it's owned by one of the guys who owns/runs/works at SSS automotive...
  2. I've got mine ready to be put on, Duncan. Care to help me? I've got the jack, stands, tools and the space - I just wish the garage wasn't so bloody cold!
  3. I think you might need two for the '26, but for the RB25 they're around $80each, last I remember... There should be a description in the DIY threads, if not in the Stagea section then definitely in one of the other maintenance sections. As Grant said, it's not a difficult job to do if you have the right tools, but due to exposure to heat, the sensor can be physically hard to remove. A bit of WD40 and some elbow grease is pretty much all that you need.
  4. Love the new wheels on the Cedric, Grant, but I'm still not a fan of stretched tyres...
  5. I personally wouldn't mind, Luke, but need to check availability. I think the biggest problem is that most of the NSW crew live in or around Newcastle and the Central Coast, so it's at least an extra 2hrs travel each way for them...
  6. Nice location of the RS-Four badge, Hugh!
  7. That's probably StageIan - red series 2. And where have you been hiding, Albert? Spotted a silver Corolla, a white WRX, a black Supra, a white R32 GTSt, a silver R33 GTSt, and a white R33 GTSt at Hornsby tonight... Also spotted a white R33 GTSt four-door parked on the Pacific Highway in Hornsby on the way home...
  8. Spotted s1kr33 in Northmead, then again a bit later in Stanhope Gardens. Also spotted a white R34 heading towards Parra on Old Windsor Rd near Hammers Rd in Old Toongabbie, around about 45mins ago.
  9. Happy birthday Mona!
  10. Happy birthday Mansoor!
  11. Oooh, nice! So close to home too!
  12. Hmmm, I got around to pulling the dash apart this arvo to have a look at the globe that wasn't working. My old man told me we should have had some spare globes around in the garage, but sure enough I couldn't find the right ones. Anyway, considering I couldn't be bothered going to the shops to get some, I decided that for now I would just swap the globes around so I could see my fuel gauge and lower half of the speedo at night, and not bother about the top half of the speedo for now. I never do much more than 110-115 on the freeway, so I don't need to be able to read that area between 120 and 180, but I DO need to know how fast I'm going around the 'burbs, and know how much fuel I've got. So, having swapped the bulbs around, I checked my work before re-assembling the dash, and what do you know, the WHOLE area lights up! I checked that they were working at least four times again, during and after the assembly of the dash, and it's still all good. I know I removed, swapped and replaced globes, but I didn't actually change any... Minor miracle of the day, maybe?
  13. Aren't the R33 brakes just a matter of pulling the pins out and sliding the pads away from the disks? If I remember correctly, it's super-easy to do and takes around 15mins each side - probably the (physically) hardest bit is removing the wheels!
  14. Happy birthday Andy!
  15. Mike, were your original dash pieces around the stereo and climate control in the grey metallic colour? Do you still have them?
  16. Oh yeah, who the f*ck designed Hornsby Westfields?
  17. Metho and kero in a 50/50 mix is the go. Make up about half a litre, then pour in a bit at a time, give it a good shake so it can get to all areas inside the core, and then pour it out. Keep repeating the process until the mixture comes out as clean as it went in, then you'll know that most of the oil will have been washed out from inside the core. There's no need to rinse it out with water - the metho/kero mix will dry itself out, being alcohol.
  18. Cool, I'll get onto it tomorrow night. I'm guessing you don't have to remove the steering wheel column surround like in the video, right? Thanks all!
  19. The movie was Tops! The dinner was ordinary... The company was... well... Smoky was there. j/k - you guys rock!
  20. Hey all, the backlighting on the left hand side of my dash has gone, so I can't read my fuel gauge or the lower half of my speedo at night. Has anyone had to replace these globes before, and what do I need to know before I tackle the job. I remember the of the guage upgrade, where some dude showed how to remove and replace the dash once they put some EL gauges in there, but how much harder is it to get to the actual globes? Is it just the 8-odd screws and a few plugs, then pull it out and access the globes from the side or back? Also, are they generic dash globes? Thanks in advance...
  21. Is that one of the tanks that was at AutoSalon near our SAU stand?
  22. That could well be s1kr33, Rick... He lives locally.
  23. Oh man, I can only wish, Mike! Where were you, Justin? C'mon, what's your excuse?
