  1. Man, I'm hanging to get out on the track in the car, but I want to have all my gauges in first and at least get the suspension mods started. Maybe for the Texikhana I'll be ready... I might have even put the front split/dump pipe on. Hahaha, as for the towing with the manual, you know what Gary's gonna say...
  2. +1. Welcome, Druncan!!!
  3. Everyone, please be very aware of what you post on these pages in regards to the speeds you claim to drive - I don't want to be handing out warnings or waving the ban stick around, and by the same token I don't want any of you to suffer any repercussions of anyone in the police or motoring authorities hitting you guys/girls up with fines and licence/rego cancellations. If need be, change your posts where appropriate, as we DO NOT condone inappropriate (and excessive) speeds on the streets.
  4. Was that your V35 that I parked behind, Russky? I was in the dark green Stagea (probably also the only one there) and I parked next to AboBob Adam's white R34 sedan.
  5. Just spotted a silver R32 4-door with GT-R grill, bumper and possibly front guards, plus GT-R wheels coming onto the bridge in Toongabbie. Looked hot! I 4-door '32's...
  6. Best place to start looking for help is doing a search in the DIY section - there's almost always someone who's previously come across the same problems as you. Link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...?showtopic=6167
  7. Clint, if you've got the car here I might try and organise a Stagea cruise/meet-up a little earlier to help accommodate your time here.
  8. Sucks to hear, Dave, but I hope putting it back together and tuning it goes well. Man, you Queenslanders are also pushing boundaries - hope you and Bunts have a good time while you're down. Bah, Adam, if I'd known I would have grabbed it for you to bring along to the Ignition DVD meet at Homebush.
  9. Stuck around with Adam for a while, but it was too cold to stay too long, and I'd already had a long day... Bob might be on the next DVD, though!
  10. I won't be able to make it this weekend either. I wasn't racing anyway, but was keen to come down and help out, as well as spend a night or two in Canberra to catch up with family and also check out the Sutton Road complex before meeting up at Wakefield to spectate and help out. Oh well..
  11. Picked up my cousin from the airport today, and as we turned left onto the M4 near Homebush to head West, he said he saw a white Stagea heading the same way as us, but in the far right lane. I couldn't see it and couldn't catch up to it due to too much traffic. Sounds good. I was supposed to be going to Canberra this weekend and Wakefield Park for our track day on Sunday, but I've changed my mind.
  12. +1 for mmmmmmmmmmmmaybe...
  13. Was a pleasure to help!
  14. Here's a link to the first Sydney cruise I organised, mainly because I promised Ian I would link him to it. We had 4 there on the day: Brendan (beastien), Jay (R33Stagea), Andy (EGA41T), and myself. Like I mentioned, we'll probably have to have the next one around the Central Coast again, as it's kinda halfway between where the main two factions of owners are, but with this Winter weather we might have to try and keep away from open fields or sea breezes. I'll speak to a few of the Coasties from the show and see where they regularly meet up, and if it's convenient for all then we can try and meet there too - maybe have a bite to eat and sit down and chat.
  15. It was around 7.30pm, Ian. It was parked near the hairdresser's and restaurant along Portico Parade, which is the stretch of road that goes along the railway line on the side with the shops and banks, etc. on it. Next time you're in the area, give me a buzz. I'm VERY local to that. I'm not sure I gave you my number, so I'll send it to you in a PM now.
  16. The difference in weight would probably be made up by the traction advantage with ATTESA.
  17. Me too! Also saw a white s2 parked near Toongabbie (NSW) station last night with Victorian plates on it, UYV-??? I think. I left some SAU business cards on the side window, so hopefully they'll come onto the site if they're not already...
  18. Hey guys and girls, thanks for helping make the day an excellent one for all involved. We, as a crew (and especially "AboBob" Adam, as our club president), put a lot of work into getting this up and running, and I believe we had more Stageas there than R34 GT-R's. I know this was a FACT before we started the day, going by pre-registrations taken, but that might have changed as we signed people up on the day to join in on the show. Also many thanks to all those who bought SAU merchandise to help support the club - it's been a long process getting it up and running, but I'm glad to see that you all like the products I've managed to get produced. Thanks also to Mike's wife (damn my feeble mind for forgetting her name!!!) for taking a few group shots for me - apparently Brycey's got his ar$e out in the last shot we had taken! I really wish I could have had more time to spend with you guys, but I'm sure we'll make up for this down the line with a group meet-up and/or cruise - hopefully soon, and indoors if it's going to be anywhere near as cold as yesterday was.
  19. I'm in the same boat, Mike, one of my gauges hasn't arrived yet, and the gauge holder I bought is pretty ordinary, to say the least... BTW, IT'S ON TOMORROW!!!
  20. ...and add it all to the Stagea. MY Stagea, that is! Please?
  21. And don't forget to do the hokie pokie, and turn around... a 50/50 metho and kero mix is the best thing to clean out the insides, and a soft brush is the best for the outside.
  22. I suggest you get the same size tyres front and rear - the profile is calculated as a percentage of the width, so if you have different widths front and rear, but the same profile, then the rolling diameter will still be different, so you'll run into the same problems again. eg 225/50/17 works out as: 225 = width of the tyre tread surface in millimetres, 50 = 50 percent of the tyre width 17 = made to fit a 17" diameter wheel. Basically, and changes you make towards going to a wider or narrower tyre, or lower or higher profile, they all affect the total rolling diameter of the wheel and tyre combo...
  23. Joe, you realise that Toyo are giving away a set of tyres, not rims. I'm not even sure they make rims, unless they have a sub-brand like Yokohama has AVS/Advan. I've got the standard mesh Stagea wheels on mine, but would LOVE either some V35 Skyline/G35 Infinity wheels, some Advan Sienna II's or Racing Hart C4's. Advan Sienna generation II's: Racing Hart C4's:
