  1. What about the "Partridge in a Pear tree?" Not a Skyline (or related), but I saw a nice little orange Datto 1200 coupe this arvo turning right off Fitzwilliam Rd onto Old Windsor Rd, it was slammed to the ground, and had stocky wheels all round, with hubcaps on the front only. It had a Pac Performance sticker on the back windscreen, so if it was fitted with a Rotary, I can't believe I couldn't hear it over my car. "Teh Dragon Wagon" has just proven how damned loud it is!
  2. Phil, leave your camera at a hi-res setting, that way if you take some shots that need cropping or reducing you don't lose as much quality.
  3. That's the way to live - let's hope we're all that enthusiastic when we get older. Was watching a few podcasts about the movie "Cars" and Paul Newman is still out there thrashing around at 81yo!
  4. Cool, I wasn't sure if you were thinking of the SnS or the 'khana, so I thought I'd post it up... That area's on a downhill too, so it wouldn't suit a motorkhana-style event anyway, but it should be good for the SnS. I feel like going for a drive, so I might see what's out there...
  5. Spotted an SAU sticker (maybe a Vic one?) on a nice S15 on "The Car Show" on Channel 9 today.
  6. PJ's do put on a good feed! That's my vote...
  7. Adam, have a look at this, not sure if you've already seen it...
  8. Another new idea, after seeing this thread - who'd be keen on SAU coasters?
  9. Where? I'd like to know this too!
  10. Hmmm, now I'm intrigued
  11. The cargo net can also be hooked to the holes "revealed" when you remove the little tie-down hooks on the ledge just below the windows, and just in front of the handles that fold the seats down - you'll find that the pole for the cargo net extends to meet the holes on each side of the luggage area.
  12. I've heard lots of good things about Sushi Suma, but last time I went into that area for a feed there was the usual queue out the door and it had just started to rain, and seeing as I was with a group and wanted to have a relaxed meal, we decided against waiting. Me thinks I might have to go in there for lunch one day soon. They don't kick you out once 2pm rolls in, I hope? If you want Teppan Yaki, there was a great place in Parramatta/Harris Park right next to Harris Park station called Okori (or something similar). Not sure if it's still there. Dammit, haven't had a good sushi or sashimi meal in ages. I've also had an awesome Chicken Karaage at a little place in Bondi (away from the main street/beach), but I think it was also Korean-run - the waiter was, anyway, and couldn't speak any English, which made ordering difficult.
  13. Fair enough. I will let him know. Regardless, if we did get him he would spruce up the photos to make our cars look a lot better (like they really need to, sheesh ). In the shot he did of my car it looks heaps cleaner, and he digitally lowered it too. Oh, for that link, yes you need to be a member, but there's a link for that in my sig as well (hint hint!). Otherwise, it's www.slidingperformance.com.
  14. Niiiiiiiice!
  15. So is anyone interested in getting our SAU photographer to come along, or do we just take and share a whole lot of photos between ourselves? *BTW, my digital camera broke down about 6 months ago, and I haven't had a chance or the money to replace it yet...
  16. Money talks, Simon, and mine ain't sayin' shit (if you get what I mean)!
  17. The connection between the ECU's of a S1 Stagea and R33 (and quite possibly between S2 and R34) are the same, so a PFC should just plug straight in. The only issue is that there was never a version of the PFC made for an RB25DET with ATESSA AWD, so you have to "tweak" it somehow to make it all work. I'm not exactly sure what that "tweak" is because I haven't done it myself (although I would like to, sometime in the near future).
  18. Congrats, Doylie - the car looks pretty neat. It'll be good to have another Stagea in Sydney.
  19. Mine is a converted-to-manual job (done by the previous owner) and AFAIK it still uses the factory auto ECU.
  20. Have you started the second GB for these yet, Shan? Please post a link here when you do...
  21. Hahaha, true Mitch, but I'd be more worried about my life than that of the tyre. Although if you think about it your life would rely fairly heavily on the life of the tyre, assuming you managed to build up enough speed before it blew out!
  22. My sister has spotted a yellow Stagea driving in/around the Castle Hill area a few times... Wolverine (and Mrs Wolverine)?
  23. Hmm, I'm guessing Brad's engine + pushbike = deathwish!!!
  24. Nice shots, Rob.
