  1. yep, getting closer... i'm trying to find more pics to show my line of thinking (even some of the ones that you've posted previously)
  2. nah, james - kit is too overboard for my liking, and I'll pass on the chromies too. i like the whole "subtle aggression" look - either that or stealth!
  3. V35s look a bit "narrow" in my opinion, and the sedan shell makes it look even more so. With the coupe, if you choose the right wheels and bodykit, and lower it the right amount, you can make it look a lot wider and phatter/fatter. Haven't seen a kit/wheel/suspension combo on a sedan *yet* that does the same...
  4. Nice, I wish I had the funds available to add to my model collection. And do mods on Teh Stagea... And buy bigger monitor/TV... And buy bigger hard-drive(s)... And...
  5. That pretty much descirbes ALL of Norton St, John... But there are definitely some better choices along there.
  6. Another one to chase up. *adds to list... Mona, not sure what we can do about SAU gearknobs, but will look into that as well...
  7. correct...
  8. SAU seat covers? i don't remember these - can you show us some pics or provide a link, please?
  9. Happy birthday Richard!
  10. So you're NOT considering the Noah? Damned shame...
  11. Good point, Charlie. We might have to consider "upgrading" the current merchandise to accomodate this too.
  12. I think Qld has these, might chase this up and see what they're worth... Good idea! Beer coolers/stubby holders are also in the list of things we've already started chasing up. Gear knobs? Like an option or replacement for the factory, Nismo or Momo style jobs? Nice idea Ryan, if you're willing to take this idea a bit further (and maybe submit others?), then we may consider it... Please remember, everyone, we want genuine ideas and suggestions here. We are slowly trying to help the club grow, and funds are tight. The more people we can attract towards signing up as SAU-NSW club members, the better our situation will be! And those people who sign on as members will reap the rewards of cheaper merchandise, as well as all the other benefits of club membership, as outlined here. The problem with some items is that there are minimum runs that we will have to buy before we can even consider them. One example are the thermal travel mugs, where the minimum product run is 100 - will we be able to sell this many travel mugs, or are they going to sit on the shelves of the SAU-NSW stock room and collect dust (not to mention the money wasted on a non-selling item). Regardless, all ideas are welcome, and time will tell how viable each suggestion becomes!
  13. Good idea, agreed! We will try and chase this up. Do you have any contacts, Wil? Names are currently available as an extra-cost option for the SAU-NSW members' jackets. I guess adding it to t-shirts, etc. should not add too much extra, but we'll look into it. The bottle-opener we are looking at getting is on a keyring, and depending on what people are willing to spend, we will either get these printed in SAU colours (most likely black and red) or laser-etched (which is longer lasting, but colour is not an option). Windscreen heat shields are already on the investigation list, and depending on cost we can look into chasing up model-specific ones if people are still genuinely interested. Not sure if the club will be able to afford something like this at this stage - we've gotta crawl before we can walk. Both of these ideas would be awesome, but once again unlikely at this stage! A sticker on a cooler would probably(?) melt, though... Turbo heat shield bags (assuming there are enough owners with high-mounts willing to buy them) might be a bit easier. A girls' range of shirts is currently being looked at, but girls' jackets may be a bit harder to come by
  14. Happy B'Day El-Jay! Yep, Vic is still drunk...
  15. That Toyota Noah would make an awesome track weapon - just add a 2JZ-GTE with a big single turbo, or a 1UZ-FE with twins, and watch all the jaws drop at your next track day!
  16. Good ideas everyone, thanks for adding your suggestions so far, and keep them coming!
  17. The "White Pearl" the Stageas come in has a paint code of QT-1, so compare that to the GT-R paint code and you should have your answer!
  18. Hey all, SAU-NSW is currently looking into the viability of extending the range of merchandise offered to club members and forum members, and would like to gauge your opinions (yes, all of you – not just the club members) on what kind of goodies you’d like to see, and if you’d be willing to buy it. Whatever happens, the range will start small at first, and will complement the jackets, shirts, lanyards and caps already available. We're currently considering and researching stuff like bottle opener keyrings, keyring LED torches, multi-purpose screwdrivers (good for the glovebox), mousemats, steering wheel and/or windscreen heat shields, and maybe travel coffee mugs depending on interest. As far as clothing goes, we may even consider a few new t-shirts, including a range for the girls... In an effort to help you all as much as possible, we’re going to aim to get the items to you at the best possible prices and best possible quality for the price, but obviously with some items we’ll need to reach a certain level of interest before we even consider a production run – hence we want serious answers here please people, as there is no point in the club paying for products to be made available only to have it backfire on us if no-one puts their money where their mouth is… The items will now be for sale to SAU-NSW club members and forum-only members, but club members will pay less of course, so it’s yet another incentive to join if you haven’t already. This is why this thread and the poll have been posted in the general New South Wales sub-forum. So, everyone, tell us what you'd like to see, and let's see where it takes us! Note: Please keep non-related and off-topic chatter to a minimum here, to make it easier the Execs and Moderators, and a more pleasant experience for all.
  19. Spotted a silver R34 GTt last night turning onto Parra Rd heading West-bound @ around 11.30pm, but I saw it too late to check plates, wave/beep, or even check if it was a 2-door or 4-door.
  20. Cool vids, it's nice to see an Aussie-delivered Stagea out on a skidpan... You know what's funny, the guy who runs/owns/whatever Slidewise, and posts under the name "Slide" - his name is also Aaron, just like the guy who's helped you set up the skidpan day...
  21. So THAT'S why you bought it, Duncan? And here I was thinking you bought one to shift parts and equipment between race meetings... BTW, when is it due to land?
  22. 'sif not, Mars... C'mon, you know you want one! Just think of all the extra vinyl you can lug around - I've been there and can attest to its crate and equipment lugging capabilities...
  23. lame effort, winkeh... better luck next time. and wait until Friday ACTUALLY rolls around...
  24. Spotted a white s2 R33 in Strathfield today around 3pm, had an SAU sticker on the back window... Plates were AZL-*** (I missed the last half of the plate)...
  25. Teh Stagea network is growing... Post Stagea spottings here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=53437
