  1. The PowerFC replaces the stock ECU, plugging into the standard loom using the factory plug. Why you'd want to run a piggyback computer (the F-Con V) on a fully programmable one (the PowerFC), I can't figure out. AFAIK, there's no logic in that...
  2. Spotted a white R33 GTSt this arvo (around 4.30pm) on Blacktown Rd near St Martin's Village. Got a thumbs up/wave and gave one back. Nice looking car!
  3. Are they chromed factory alloys, Mike? They look very similar to the s2 wheels you see on a lot of Stageas - have a look at skidkid's signature pic below your post to compare! Hope those tyres aren't Falken Ziex's - they are rather crap...
  4. AWD can get some sliding action happening, too, don't you worry! I got caught out one day, but luckily had plenty of room to recover and gathered it up. Can't wait to visit a skid-pan day to explore ATESSA in full effect...
  5. Like SK said, it's super-rare to get a speedo that is dead-perfect accurate. I believe that ADR's allow for up to 10% variance, which would cover tyre wear, inflation (how many people REALLY check their tyre pressures as often as they should?), etc. A GPS device or some sort of regularly-calibrated dyno thing are probably the best two ways to get an accurate reading to check your speedo against.
  6. Mine is an R32 GTR box as well, but like Ska's car, it was fitted before I bought it... Shouldn't be much of an issue which one you use...
  7. I think mine has a short-shift kit on it, I'll have to meet up with Andy EGA41T one day to confirm this... Was probably done at the same time as the previous owner did the manual conversion.
  8. So far, apart from the purchase of the car, insurance and rego, oil and filter, and petrol I've barely spent a cent. Lucky for me, when my turbo blew last year, my cousin had a spare s1 R33 engine sitting in his garage, so he gave me that turbo to use. $239 - speakers for the front door $85 - new battery What I'd like to do in the future: * amp, rear speakers, sub and new head unit. * SK suspension kit * new wheels * GCG hi-flow, dump pipe and (if necessary) new hi-flow cat * FMIC * PowerFC * extra gauges There's probably other stuff too, but I can't remember... Either way, it's staying a street sleeper!
  9. Bizarre!!!! Firstly, a girl who DOES NOT own a hairdryer. Secondly, that she bought one for you to use ON THE CAR? I'm close to speechless!
  10. Try www.motormouth.com.au - it's a fuel price-watching service. Not all suburbs are listed and the lists within the suburbs are pretty scant. They really should try and get more servo stations on board so the list is bigger, and even the servos that are listed don't always give price information, which is a pain in the ar$e, but it might help some of you...
  11. Hahahahaha - vtec 0wned!!!
  12. R33's are WHALES!!! Z32 300ZX's are boats. I don't care if everyone picks on me, my car looks like a Volvo... Oh yeah, back on topic - I saw a purple s2 Whale today (hahaha) in Parra around lunch time, followed me along Macquarie St, into Marsden St, then into and along Church St. Number plate was PUR11Z or PRP11Z.
  13. Here's a shot of Jay's car (r33stagea) - it's the light green one first in line. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of the whole car on the day of the cruise...
  14. It's an RS doing a burnout!
  15. I picked mine up on the 12 October 2005, so it's just under a year ago now... Still happy - just wish I had some money to do more mods...
  16. It's not a 31, but I've got a wagon, so do I get a reprieve?
  17. Girls have their heels and designer clothes and accessories, Guys have their gadgets... Y'know, boys and their toys!
  18. *reaches into deep, deep pockets, but pulls out only fluff and 5c coins* "Dammit, maybe next time!"
  19. P1's are just the name of the wheels on Burns's car. They're made by a company called "Buddy Club." http://www.buddyclub.com.au/
  20. WooHoo - finally! Congrats, Mike...
  21. I'm not a fan of the bling either, unless it's going on a big American muscle car or something like that.
  22. This (the blue thing I outlined in the photo) is the brake cylinder stopper - it attaches at one end to your strut tower, and on the other side to the end of your brake master cylinder to stop/reduce firewall flexing when you're hard on the brakes. Less flex in the firewall means better and more consistent braking, and a more consistent pedal feel.
  23. Happy birthday, Sammeh!
  24. Jeez, James - someone in the NSW Whorethread kinda joked that you were EVERYWHERE on these forums, but I'm noticing it becoming more and more true each day I spend here...
  25. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit... Brad, that's one of the two wheels I was considering for my Stag, and the exact reason why I didn't say anything was so no-one would copy me... DAMN YOU!!!!
