  1. Duncan also has these for sale, details here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=69301&hl=
  2. Wheels or Motor magazine did an article about all the old lost tracks a while back, and Catalina was included. It's sad to hear that Sydney's motorsport heritage is being lost like this. I remember going out Windsor/Rouse Hill way once and seeing the signs to Amaroo Park raceway, and spinning out because I'd seen races on TV there, but never actually knew where it was located.
  3. I've lived in either Wentorthville or Toongabbie all my life, and I doubt I'll move far from here. Not too far from Granville (about 10mins, as ECR033 pointed out), fairly centrally-located between the city and the west, and with the convenience of Parramatta, Blacktown and the Hills Districts all close by. If you can find the right house/unit, then this area is great in my opinion.
  4. FRP = Fibre-Reinforced Plastic
  5. Hmmm, does anyone with FAST know if the plugs on the factory ECUs are available separately to the ECU unit itself, or are they listed as a complete unit? And is anyone able to provide me with a copy of the FAST software, please?
  6. No probs, guys. If/when you need me to get the ball rolling, just let me know. Oh, and do you guys use MSN? [email protected]
  7. Spotted my Stagea out of the garage for the first time in over a week, then again after it transported me to the doctor's and back. Started first go, though - YAY!!! Having the flu sux hard...
  8. Steve and Adam, Does Christian have any old images (vector or otherwise) of the SAU logo that we can use? Might be an idea to see what he already has, etc. If not, I can try and chase up either some more images or try and get them done in vector format if you wish. I have two friends who are graphic designers, and my sister works p/time for another.
  9. Correct, mine has the factory splits as well. I can just stick a fingernail under the cover and get them off, it shouldn't be too hard. If worst comes to worst, grab a small flat screwdriver or similar... I've already got my splits for the front, but I haven't put them in yet. Where has everyone put their cross-overs, though?
  10. There are no speed cameras on the M7, but *apparently* they CAN book you for speeding using basic maths: Speed = Distance over Time. Seeing as they have the toll plazas and cameras to match your plates to your e-tag (or to scan your plates and send you the bill if you don't have an e-tag) to figure out how much to charge you for the amount of the motorway you've actually used, they can easily figure how long it took you to get between any two (or more) toll plazas along the way. And *apparently* they don't have to put signs up stating that there are speed cameras there, because there are no speed cameras as such...
  11. Easy solution to that - you park on a hill anyway, so assuming you're driving a manual, just clutch it if you have to. Or bring jumper cables (and the knowledge or instructions to connect them properly so as not to blow up your computer). If you're paranoid and your car exhaust isn't too loud, crank it over during the movie to make sure you're not killing the battery. And run it for a few minutes during the intermission (most drive-ins still have them around the middle of the movie) and between the first and second movies too.
  12. Reminds me of that scene from Anchorman: "I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT..." and "LOUD NOISES..." Me coming along really depends on a few things. First I've got the flu, so I've gotta recover from that properly. Then it depends on how cold it is that night, and then also depends on funds. Might not participate quite yet, but I wouldn't mind coming along to watch. I need to buy a helmet too before I start racing. Hmmm, Andy's worried about his clutch, I'm more worried about gearbox and driveshafts...
  13. Tempted, Jay, very tempted...
  14. Would love to, as i much prefer them to the dirty/worn-out orange ones on my car now but there are more important things on the plans for the car for the time being. I will keep an eye on this thread though, and I am eventually going to budget for these.
  15. Good work Andy, nice to see there's very little disturbance to the airflow through the snorkel.
  16. Spotted a pearl white R33 GTS25t sedan parked in Crown St, Surry Hills late Sunday evening, outside the Medina hotel.
  17. I'm starting to enjoy the occasional sideways slide, but am really hanging for when I can afford a skid-pan day so I can explore my car a bit further. Up till now, I've never really had the run-off room to feel comfortable sending my car sideways, and I never do it when there are other cars around just-in-case.
  18. If we can get a group-buy on the side ones through Powerplay, then that might be the go. Would someone like to organise this instead, or if you prefer, let me know if you want me to do it instead? If it saves us the hassle of converting to $US, waiting for the items to be shipped, and works out cheaper in total, then it's a win-win for all of us.
  19. The Defi guages I'm aiming to get are the 52mm ones, and if I manage to get the panel right when I make it, I might make a few of them to sell onwards.
  20. Try SydneyKid's suspension set-up, he has spent plenty of time organising, testing and tuning suspension kits to suit R32's, R33's and R34's (including all the GT-R's) as well as Stagea's. He used WhiteLine springs, stabilizer bars, etc., and Bilstein shocks. He even recommends other bits to fine-tune it, as well as providing details of settings for camber, castor, toe, etc. The ones suited for R-32's are here...
  21. Stuffed chassis or suspension is the most likely cause of this... Probably best to avoid it.
  22. Thanks for that Marc. I got hold of some pieces of perspex recently, so I might try the MDF backing with black-painted perspex to set off the Defi guages I want to get.
  23. self pwnage, george?
  24. I'll be doing that soon, too! I might move the air-con controls to the middle though, the guages up top, and put the stereo in the bottom slot. Did you buy a DIN-slot holder for the guages, or did you make one up?
  25. OK Oz, cool! I had a feeling they were both black and both GT-R's, but because I spotted them too late I couldn't be sure. Spotted a maroon s1 R-33 this arvo too,
