  1. quote Tank Girl "Two dollars and fifteeeeeeeen cents..." /quote Nah, not selling, Cy, I'm keeping it for the eventual high-flow. It saves me having my car off the road.
  2. Hmmm, it's strange that Toyota have finally FORMALLY given us a local branch of TRD so they can boost their image against HSV and FPV, when what they could have done in the first place was continue giving us Cressida's (or whatever they'd refer to them as now) beyond the MX80's series, which sold like hotcakes at the time, were still competitive in their markets despite the age compared to the competition, and are often still proving reliable, with a fair few still running around. Maybe they could have branded them under the Lexus name - I think it would have been better to give us the JZX90 and JZX100's instead of the glorified (and inferior!) Camry rebranded as the Lexus ES300. The IS-series was a step in the right direction, but they were underpowered as the two-litre 1G-FE, and there was no manual option when they finally released the three-litre 2JZ-GE (and they could have given us the turbo option too). The LS-series, too was great for Toyota - slightly bland and derivative, but no-one else had anything that could compete for the money. Nissan could have given us... well, we all know the answer to that! The Aussie car market always seems to go for the soft option, and it's only now that they realise how big an impact the import market is having (even though it's barely a dent in new-car sales), and they're slowly starting to cater for us more. Obviously, we won't get everything they offer due to our small market size (in comparison to the rest of the world), but they really could make more of an effort... Back on topic - I'm not too sure about the Legnum (nice looking car, etc.) - I'd have one, but I wouldn't BUY one. But I would definitely love an Evo 9 wagon, or that Dodge Magnum, or something similar. I love the stealth look, or something with aggression without being over the top! That's what I'll be aiming for when I modify mine.
  3. Agreed! The backs JUST tuck in enough, but the fronts are a tad too far out for my liking too. I noticed it on Prank's car when we had the Show and Shine back in July last year.
  4. Happy Birthday, Cy. I have a turbo I can sell you cheap-cheap. Custom modified for higher flow (through the compressor only, though)... Cheers, Nick
  5. If the GT-C's had more dish, I would suggest them, but I LOVE R34 GT-R rims on Stageas.
  6. Yeah, I think that's him, thanks MatBoy and Ryan! And does anyone remember Ethan? This was DEFINITELY in the SDU days, he had a black R34 GT-R? Whatever happened to those guys?
  7. Good work, Darrin. Looks the same as the one in my car, which is apparently (according to Beastien) the series 2 console. It looks like it has the glvebox that opens both ways - either towards the driver or the passenger.
  8. Glenn, the S2 RS Four S has the air con controls in the second space, and the gauges in the top spot, so hopefully the wiring loom must be at least somewhat long enough to maybe stretch it to the lowest DIN slot.
  9. My cousin just reported that between leaving his parent's at Girraween and where he called me from on Pennant Hills Rd near Castle Hill Rd, he had seen 6 coppers.
  10. Hahaha, I remember that - it took me so long to figure out who was was who!
  11. Does anyone remember the dude who had a black R34 GTt with no rear wing, he came with us on a cruise once (this might even have been back in the SDU days)? He had his girlfriend/wife/significant other with him on the day, and I think they left the cruise early. This was right around the time when R34s were still pretty new and super-scarce... I think it was lowered too!?!?!?
  12. Yeah, I will most likely be talking to Marty. Like I said, it's just a matter of scraping the money together first.
  13. My idea for a sub is to put a single 10" or 12" in a longish box along the driver's side between the strut tower and the tailgate. I'm hoping to figure out a way to hinge it so I can stil get to the ATESSA reservoir and the small compartment next to it, and loading of the sub will be against the strut tower - the box will be angle-cut to kind of match the shape of the strut tower and face the sub towards it. It might be better to face the sub rearwards and load it against the tailgate, but I'm going for a stealth system, and having the sub showing every time you open the boot kinda defeats the purpose... Hopefully I won't lose too much boot space this way, and I'll still be able to fold the seats down and use the length available. My only issue now is money - I've got the front splits and they are ready to go in, but I'm kinda waiting to at least buy the rears as well and before I start the install...
  14. Anyone with a manual (Ska, EGA41T) can attest that even with AWD, the car can be convinced to slide a little with a stab of the pedal. The beauty of it is that as the drive is gradually distributed to the front, the car kinda pulls itself straight, which makes it fun and pretty safe even in the wet. Not too sure if the autos behave the same way, because I haven't driven or been in one.
  15. MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm RS4! Yum - would love one of those too!
  16. I agree, Alex. On an auto it just sounds... weird. Wrong, even.
  17. Baffle, Brendan? Weak!!! :) Mine's loud - sometimes too loud if you're tired or have a headache - but it's a manual...
  18. '97 model RS Four V, converted to manual using R32 GTR 'box. Apart from that, the button clutch and the 3" cat-back exhaust, all the rest is standard.
  19. hey, if it's a nice ass that's hanging out of a skirt, then it's not out of place in my opinion...
  20. Loz, I heard you bought danny's old car, is that right?
  21. This is interesting - the instructions for the combined SatNav/TV/air-con/CD player is roughly 120 pages by itself!
  22. I know that R32 GTR seats and rails bolt straight into R33, so seeing as the floorpan of the Stagea is similar, if not the same, then it shouldn't be an issue. Removing the seats while they're still on the rails, is probably the quickest and easiest way, anyway, isn't it?
  23. oh cool, about 20mins away i'm right on the border of Seven Hills and Toongabbie
