  1. I've seen that one a few times in and around the Greater West of Sydney (around Blacktown and Parra), and I think it's the same one my old man spotted about a month ago in Wentworthville...
  2. Meh, oh well. A fair hike, indeed, but I am hoping to come to Canberra shortly to visit some family... That's probably the closest I'll get for a while.
  3. I think the washer bottle is shared between both the front and rear windscreen wipers, because I tried looking for the rear one the other day to check the levels, and couldn't find it...
  4. Noske, what state do you and your Stagea live in? I know a Sydney-based dent-puller who might be up to the task. He has a good reputation and went to Europe (mostly Germany, IIRC) a few years ago when they had massive storms, and did work for the Mercedes-Benz factory storage yards. Nick T.
  5. 9) Thou shalt raise thy hand in a gesture of "thanks" whenst allowed into a lane in front of a fellow motorist... C'mon world, it really pisses me off to see the lack of common courtesies we must all endure to make up for those (increasing) numbers who are too arrogant/self-important/disrespectful/"good" for everyone else - and not just on the roads... Nick T.
  6. Nice buy, gR33ddy! Mine's dark green as well. You might have leather (which I would have liked, along with the twin sunrooves), but mine's been converted to manual by the previous owner!!! Are you in Sydney? If that's the case, then we have to get a group together soon for a meet-up. Cheers, Nick T.
  7. Alright, here are pics of my Centre consoles - both the arm-rest area and the handbrake/gearshift/stereo/air-con consoles. First, the center arm-rest opened towards the driver (yep, Ska, it's ridiculously shallow, but it's better than nothing): Now, opened the other way, towards the passenger (yes, it opens the whole way up, I was just too lazy to go around and take a shot from that side...): Another shot from the front of the car (it doesn't open from the front), also showing another set of cup-holders which doubles as an extra stow-away: The lower console, the gearshift surround and handbrake: The upper console, with the (as yet unchanged) stereo and Air-Con controls: The original handbrake (no longer used, obviously): and what it connects to, i.e. nothing!!!: Interestingly, the armrest (in all its different shapes, forms and opening versions), lower console and gearshift/handbrake surrounds look surprisingly similar to those used in manual R-34s (and R-33s too, I think): Cheers all, Nick T.
  8. I'm gonna replace the stereo soon, speakers first, but I've gotta budget for it, especially with Christmas coming up. Got holidays in just over a week, so I might try and tackle it then if I have sufficient funds available to me...
  9. Dude, my body kit is the same - I've only got the front lip, but I LOVE the way it looks anyway. I've got no rear spoiler either. Cool, thanks for that Terminal. So I'm guessing RS-Four has ATESSA AWD, but is a very basic spec level? Are the 15's alloys as well, or steelies with wheel covers? Mine looks to be an RS Four V (with the 5spd conversion, of course!). I have the 16's, the electric boot-locking, a double-DIN cd/cassette/radio, and factory tweeters in the A-pillar. But I've already blown my speakers because it just doesn't play loud enough!!! Thanks for the info guys, and keep it coming! I will be adding and/or modifying the list over the next few days... Cheers, Nick T.
  10. I think FYN33 (Samantha?) is still trying to sell hers, but it's in Qld on the Gold Coast. Here's a link, but I think she wants around $24k...
  11. Does anyone know of a decently priced (i.e., good value, but not cheap) oil-fliter relocation kit, or should I just stump up and buy a full oil-cooler kit and get the relocation kit they usually have thrown into that lot? Thanks in advance, Nick T.
  12. Really? Edited, then... I've split them up into "Commonly seen options." Thanks for that, Alex. Nick T.
  13. If it is on a Wednesday, and they don't mind a Stagea in the mix, then I might come along, depending on location and time...
  14. I spotted DHC yesterday arvo, turning left from Charles St onto George St in Parra around 3pm-ish. I was standing outside work on my tea break... Agree with mass_iv, it's a nice car!
  15. I was wondering if you were from SAU, 'cos I didn't spot any stickers on the car (kinda hard when you're travelling down Oxford anyway, what with all the suicidal pedestrians and fking taxis stopping whenever and where-ever they want to). Yeah, the big Stagea ain't too bad, hey? Was actually expecting to be left behind by you, considering the MASSIVE weight difference. Apart from the exhaust (I took the silencer out tonight to see if it improves fuel economy, by the way, so hopefully it sounds a bit different too) and the manual conversion done by the previous owner (R-32 GT-R box and six-puck clutch), it's stock as a rock - for now... Different time, different place (away from the street, or at least that much traffic), maybe the resukts will be different again. Cheers, Nick T.
  16. I'm keen to find this out too, as I might purchase a PFC further down the line to control my (already converted) manual s1 Stagea. I might already have mentioned this anyway. Might have to see what Ska has found with his car. Hopefully that should answer many questions. I don't want to sacrifice too much with an ECU conversion, and seeing as the PFC is basically plug-and-play (with closed-loop maps), I'm steering towards this as I narrow down the choices available... Either way, I think my car could do with a slight tune in the not-too-distant future to make sure it's not running too rich, because it does go through a lot of fuel at the moment, even when just cruising mostly off boost and shifting early. Nick T.
  17. Spotted a number of Skylines on Friday night heading into Bondi, and then at Bondi itself. A black R34, a yellow R33 (maybe two, unless it was the same car I spotted twice), and a few others. Had a play with a white R-32 on Oxford St around the Woollomoloo (sp?) and Paddington area, too...
  18. Hmmm, StageZilla, I'm puzzled now because my Stagea's been converted to manual, but the previous owner said nothing about the computer, so I've assumed that it's still the standard one... So is the RB26 PFC the way to go if I wanna change computer in the future? Or could I get an R-33 RB-25 one and have the wiring loom modified to fit? Or R-32 GTS4 so it handles the AWD? I'm confused. Nick T.
  19. Hmm, I haven't taken the chance of doing a hard launch off the line yet, because I don't want to be breaking any driveshafts this early in my ownership experience (and because I don't yet have the money to replace anything). But, seeing as my car has had a six-puck clutch installed when the conversion was done, it's kinda hard to "ease" in the clutch in on gear changes when you're hard-charging. I'm still getting used to it, which doesn't help. But to answer part of the question, then yes, it will chirp on changes into second and third gears. And my car is standard apart from the R-32 GT-R gearbox, the aforementioned clutch and a 3" cat-back exhaust. Cheers, Nick T.
  20. Yeah, I've gotta break that habit too - so used to owning cars with window surrounds, and using that to close the door. I don't think the window will "snap," unless you give it a real push and aren't using any mercy to close the door. Well, I hope it won't break...
  21. Dude, I'm pretty sure Hollandia will be reliable - IIRC they have enough of a reputation to be doing kits for new car dealerships both with sunroof installs and also power window kits. I found this link to help you with a search, just in case you do wish to go ahead and/or find out more on pricing... Also found this link too, for a direct link to Webasto.
  22. Spotted a silver R-33 GT-R coming off the railway bridge in Toongabbie this afternoon, number plates possibly GTR-100, at around 5.30pm. He/she gave it a little stab as they headed towards the lights near the station.
  23. My old man says he saw a maroon/red Stagea in Wentworthville (NSW) this afternoon.
  24. That net thing is a mesh cargo barrier that you could probably use if carrying pets or if you're got a large load on and don't want things to go flying into the back of your head when you brake suddenly... I've got that and the cargo blind, and they can both be used at the same time... The net has straps at the bottom and can be hooked to the top of the roof where the handles are near the side windows. Here's a shot: I'll take some more pics when I get a chance. Cheers, Nick T.
