  1. Saw all three today - the two in the show and yours in the car park. The other two were owned by Prank (Christian, the silver one with the R-34 GTR rims) and Alan (the green one). Yours was pretty nice too Talej, why didn't you enter?
  2. Should be able to buy the MOMO gear from pretty much anywhere that stocks their stuff, if all else fails try Roman Autotek, I think they're the main importer to Australia. Not sure what their prices would be like though, I've never dealt with them myself.
  3. I'm on the Prestige mailing list, and I remember this one coming up a while back. It says it's still available, and Geoff is based in Perth too, which should help you. It's yellow, it's a Series 2 and it's a manual. It's HERE! Have fun... Nick T.
  4. Do it Nick! Slightly lowered with a set of deep-dish rims really sets off the flared guards on them. Throw on a pod and chunky exhaust, maybe some cams, and have it nicely tuned, and whatever you lose in lag and outright power on the GT-R, you can make up for in response.
  5. "Search" is your friend! Have a look through most of the posts here and check out each member's galleries, that's probably your best bet. mcnamg has a heap of pics in his gallery... Cheers, Nick T.
  6. soooooo wen r uz chix gunna post ur pix up soz we kn c wot us l00k lyk? Lemme guess, they're probably BOBFOCs - Body Off Baywatch, Face Off Crimewatch! Dammit, now my brain hurts. Seriously, is it really that hard to string a sentence together using full and complete words and punctuation? Onto the discussion regarding the forefathers of rap (hey, we might as well hi-jack the thread completely, it wasn't going anywhere, was it?), my opinion is that it could well go back to THE GODFATHER OF SOUL, James Brown, who used to talk on quite a few of his songs. And what about George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic/P-Funk? If it wasn't for James Brown and the whole Parliament outfit, rap and hip-hop would not have about 75% of the music they regularly use to take samples from... :werd: NWA, Snoop, Dre, Cube, I used to listen to all that stuff ages ago, and still do once in a while. But if I want real satisfaction, I turn away from rap and head to HIP HOP. J-5, Slum Village, A Tribe Called Quest (and, since their 'break-up," Q-Tip), Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, KRS-One, The Beastie Boys, Ozomatli, Dilated Peoples, GangStarr, N.E.R.D./The Neptunes, Lyrics Born, Quannum and the Quannum Projects Collective, The Roots, Common, OutKast, Ugly Duckling, The Pharcyde, that's where it is nowadays... There's more to music than just rap and hip-hop, anyway... Variety is the spice of life.
  7. Cool, can I have a copy on either 5.25" disc or cassette please? I wanna watch it on my Commodore 64. Whichever is easier for you works for me too! Nitrous? Are you a dentist? If you are, you shouldn't be showing your face on here. And watch out for people with cameras when you're standing in front of the mirror with just a towel around your waist and a toothbrush in your mouth. Sometimes those MoFos creep up behind you and try and take your picture.
  8. Fixed...
  9. Back to the A/C on or windows down debate, I seriously think it would have a lot to do with not only the speed the car is travelling, but how efficiently the car circulates air around it even when the windows are down. If you get the chance to drive a variety of cars (or even just two or three different cars), try listening to and comparing how much buffeting you experience when the windows are open on the different cars you drive. My theory is that the more buffeting the car gets, then the more air is going into the car instead of over and around the windscreen and windows, and therefore the more aerodynamic drag it would suffer at ALL speeds. So, the myth might hold true for the SUV's that they were using for the experiment, but it might well be different using a different car. Dunno, that's my 25 Mauritian Rupees... Nick T.
  10. Yeah, would've been nice to own if it WASN'T yellow! Yellow is just not my thing... That one from Motorman is the ONLY S-2 manual that I've seen coming our way that ISN'T yellow. But it looks a bit shabby from the pics. Dammit, I want a sleeper!
  11. :werd: That's the same one I've seen driving around in this area. Maroon with black mags, right? Cheers, Nick T. :jump:
  12. Nice pic, guys! Congrats on the new car Marc Term, are those Voltec wheels on your S-1? Was wondering if they (or something very similar) would suit a Stagea, now I have my answer. Very nice indeed! Cheers, Nick T.
  13. Spotted a maroon Stagea in Penrith on Saturday 4/6/05, heading away from the could this be the same one I've seen twice before (once each time in Blacktown and Parramatta)? Unfortunately it was just a little too far to tell for sure... It was heading away from Mulgoa Road (down Jamison Street, maybe?), back towards the city centre of Penrith. Cheers, Nick T.
  14. Hey all, just wondering if anyone here has had a look at the yellow Series 2 Stagea which is at Edward Lee's Jap Auto Center? Everytime I've been through Parramatta road in the past few weekks I've either been in a hurry to get somewhere or it's been after business hours. I've tried to have a look to get more details from the website, but it's so f&%king hard to navigate the page that it's ridiculous. Haven't even had a chance to call them because work's been flat-out... Would appreciate any info anyone has on the car, especially details on whether it's a manual or auto, and the price they're asking... Personally, I'm not too keen on the yellow - I'll be going for the sleeper look if/when I ever get around to buying one, probably either the dark blue, dark green or wine red. Thanks in advance, Nick T
  15. Spotted a silver Stagea near Brookvale oval on Saturday afternoon... Driven by a female. Was this yours, Christian? Is your car back in one piece? Pics please! Nick T.
  16. Ouch! Is it blowing a grey-ish white smoke out of the exhaust? Or is the oil a white colour instead of the normal dark brown? Two sure signs that the gasket is gone (although not the only signs)... Nick T.
  17. What you do is race him, and if he beats you by only a small margin (most likely, anyway), then you say to him "Hey, you only beat me by that much, yet your car is new and mine was made back in (insert year of manufacture here)!!! Yeah, it's Japanese, and yeah it's old, but your car is NEW and you only just beat me..." Also: Even better if you beat him. Nick T
  18. I just got one now from JaquesvD, but strangely enough it was from SDU, not here. I haven't been back to SDU since Christian ("Prank") opened up this site, but I haven't removed my details from there either. Oh well, I'll go there now to see if there's a similar thread that I can post to... Strangely enough, I got the email notification of a PM from SDU, and then I got a copy of the email from the d1ckhead himself (through SDU), listed as [email protected]. Furthermore, it lists Kimble's name at the bottom of the email. Is this how everyone else is getting theirs? Nick T
  19. Spotted a wine red Stagea today parked in the Riverbank carpark in Parramatta at about 2pm today, and it was still there just before 3pm when I got back to my car. Just wondering if this is the same one that I saw back in early December near Blacktown Workers' Club - this one had 5-spoke mags on it, though (didn't think to check what kind they were, but). Had black leather interior with the Stagea "double-unicorn" embroidered into the headrests, a "Little Red Wagon" sticker on the back window, and a Nismo sticker at the top of the rear windscreen. Rego was black letters on white plate in the XXX-##X format (three letters, two numerals, one letter) - won't publish here in case people don't want me to. Is it anyone from here? Nice car!!! Nick T.
  20. Trance makes baby Jesus cry... Trance makes me cry too!
  21. Igor's pretty much nailed it - for the most part, it's the whole "politically correct" and conservativeness that is bringing this world unstuck. Maybe the cops shouldn't have given chase. But if they didn't , would the idiot driver have sped or done something equally stupid anyway? Would he still have crashed and killed two of his passengers? Would it have been someone else, if not them? There's too many questions which will remain unanswered there. It comes back to the "butterfly effect" - change one thing here and see how much/little it affects everything around it. I guess we, as the general public, will never know EXACTLY what happened in the situation that sparked the chase, the accident and the subsequent riots. I honestly haven't been keeping track of the whole situation apart from the very few snippets of news that I might happen to hear in passing. Also, news that the police have been taunting people from the area (if it's true, and let's not forget that this is probably not the only area in which this happens), isn't doing the police any favours. My opinion, based on what little I know, is that if there WAS a lot of people/homes/traffic around, then the police shouldn't have given chase. But the loser who's crashed the car and killed those two passengers (who could have made the choice not to get in the car in the first place, by the way) should just bite the bullet and turn himself in - it's only going to get worse for him the longer he holds out. My 2 cents, Nick T.
