"Leave now before I get snooty." "Snooty?" "Snotty" Hehehe, Abe Froeman, the Sausage King of America...

Sorry burkey22, I meant to say mcnamg, because he said he's building a Stagea site, but seeing as he already said it's probably an importer, which pretty much rules him out too! Seems I jumped the gun there and didn't read the previous posts properly. :slap: Nick T

Hehehehe. It's not you burkey22, is it? If not, I'll bet there's a good chance that they'll try and skin you for everything they can get so you can use it too... Oh well, them's the breaks, hey? At least you got the .net one Nick T

Christian, is StageasAustralia.com taken? If not, would this cost money to get the doamin name registered? (Not too sure of this stuff myself, as I've never even bothered to use the allocated space given by my ISP, let alone set up a whole separate site.) Nick T

Lepperfish, I've just fired off a quick PM to you. BTW, love the avatar! -
Fair call. I'd probably marry a GT-R too! :jk:

Awesome! Nice pick Edwardo. And for $23K too! I might have to come to Queensland (or Perth) to pick up a car. Did you get the car from Ernie, or is he only doing your compliancing? Is this our first manual RS FOUR here in Australia? Also, did the manuals only come out in the series II C-34? Nick T

Any takers? I know there are some DJ's and former-DJ's here on SAU, so surely someone is still out there producing as well? If someone thinks I'm asking too much, let me know - but please be realistic!!! Nick T -
This is probably wishful thinking, I know, but... I'm guessing no-one's got the resources (yet!) to see if the R-34 guards, bumper, lights, etc. would bolt up to the C-34? It's probably a long-shot, but I suppose we'll never know unless someone tries it, or at least has a look to see how similar the C-34 and R-34 are from the firewall forward. Who knows, we might not need to go to MASA to source the R-34-style front end kits... Nick T.

Any takers? Viscount? -
Drifting for free? Maybe your safest bet is your PS2/X-Box/PC/GameCube? Or maybe you can get out your old Matchbox and HotWheels cars? Seriously? The track. It ain't free, but if you value your licence AND your car AND your wallet, you will put up the dosh to practice safely. Maybe you should get Minh to drive, with those all-conquering arms of steel of his... BTW, what is happening here? Are TWS making a return to SAU?

Not sure if this is correct, but a dealer at Edward Lee's told me the same thing, that they use the auto box from the 300ZX (I assume the Z-32). Can anyone elaborate/confirm?

:werd: oh yeah, and you might wanna touch-up the photos and re-post them, 'cos they're really dark. Other than that, car looks sweet! Did you buy from a dealer or broker?

C'mon people, just think - the money you give me in exchange for the keyboard, or sequencer, or both even, will be going towards the "Nick finally gets his a$$ into a Skyline/Stagea after all these years of talking about it" fund! -
Alright all, went with my old man to Edward Lee's today and they had 4(!) in stock. E&M had none (they might be getting some in 3-4 weeks, apparently), and Jap-Link don't do them yet, as they have too much on their hands already at the moment. Didn't have time to go anywhere else today as I'd already made plans to meet friends, etc. Might try Gary Bloggs one day after work or something, although I haven't seen many Imports there for a while, so I'll call them first to see if they're still doing them. Their old website is no longer active, BTW. I've decided I do like them A LOT, and now it's just a matter of researching a bit more on insurance, scraping a bit more money together, and then finding the right broker/dealer with the right car at the right price. Yard prices are fairly high, though, so here's hoping I don't end up having a bad experience with a broker, which is my old man's main concern...

Thanks all That's what I was planning on doing in the end, but I'd like to see one in the flesh to get an idea on size, space (interior, etc), features, seating position, etc. Just all the little things that can make or break the car ownership experience. Like I said, my parent's Camry is a nice car to drive (apart from the lack of power due to being a 4cyl), but you feel like you sit on it instead of in it, if you know what I mean. My own car has grip (decently-wide tyres on a small car), but the Camry actually handles as well... These are the kinds of things I'll be looking at. Hmmm, conversion to manual sounds nice, though, conversion to RB-26 even better!!! Now, any clues as to where to dig up the extra $10-15k?

OK, seriously, this is much better... I like: http://homepage1.nifty.com/village/ (Wish I could read it though...)

Just did a search on NineMSN for Stagea stuff, and found this: http://newel.jp/ Enjoy! Nick T. :upurs: :jk:

Hey guys (and girls!?!?!?), I've got a few questions for you all. Firstly, does anyone know where I can see a Stagea in the flesh :boinkcar: here in Sydney? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's more comfortable after I've had a chance to have a look over one before stepping up to the plate and making a purchase... Apparently there's quite a few in Qld, but, ummm, I'm not in Qld. According to the Red Book website, Edward Lee's have one for sale there, so I'll be making a call to confirm this, but I'd like to have a look at a few if possible. SydneyKid, you ordered your car direct rather than pick up from yard stock, correct? Secondly, IIRC, I read that there's a manual Stagea available (the RS FOUR S, as opposed to the more common RS FOUR V). As much as I'd love to step into a 260RS, I couldn't afford it, but I really do want to stay with a manual. Soooooo, can anyone give a pointer as to the likely price premium for a manual (assuming one can be found), and would they be eligible under RAWS/SEVS. I'd assume that having a manual box wouldn't be an issue with DOTARS, but I'd like some confirmation, if anyone can give it. Thanks in advance, Nick T.

Jay95: Last I recall, you are right, and the ATF levels should be checked with the engine running. How is it for everyone driving an auto? I'm kinda scared I'd get bored with driving one full time, 'cos when I'm in either of my parent's cars (Audi A4, 1.8turbo with Tiptronic box, and a current shape new Camry Sportivo - but only a 4cyl, unfortunately ) I find myself constantly changing the gears anyway... I miss not having engine braking in an auto, too, which is why I can only take so much of being away from my car, even though it has the handling of a bean-bag. I'm actually surprised by the Camry - it handles better than the Audi, without the (slightly) overtight ride harshness. Glad I managed to convince the old man to go with a Sportivo though, as apparently the rest of the range ride and handle like sh!t...

Dammit, screw Skylines and Stageas, after watching those vids, I want a 200B! :jk:
