  1. Seriously? Are the prices too high, or is there absolutely no interest in what i'm selling?
  2. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm, gotta love those Do-Luck "Double-Six" wheels... Not too keen on the kit, but then not many kits do it for me. I prefer go than show - leaning heavily towards the mild sleeper look, with just wheels (definitely NOT chromies or anything bigger than 18's - will probably even stick to 17's), a lowering (which can make the right wheels look bigger anyway), exhaust, window tint, and R32 GTR bonnet, grill and bumper. Bigger intercooler, but painted black anyway.
  3. Images attached! The first one is the Roland GrooveBox, and the second one is the Yamaha keyboard (obviously).
  4. I'd be keen to see a Stagea section, and I'd be just as keen to see a Stagea in the flesh - I wouldn't mind buying one in the future if they're nice and practical... I'm sure the section will become more relevant as the Stag becomes more popular (and I hope this is more an issue of "when" rather than "if"). They'd make a nice sleeper. Has anyone seen how good they look with R-34 GTR mags on them? Brisbane Street Machines have a dark blue one for sale, and the wheels really set it off well!: Pics please, SydneyKid Nick T.
  5. Hey all, I have two pieces of music equipment for sale. They would suit a budding producer and both items are in mint condition... Item 1: Roland MC-505 "GrooveBox" music sequencer These still sell for over $2,500, and I bought mine about 4 years ago for roughly $2,200. It has ALWAYS been kept under a dust cover, and has probably only received about 80-100 hours use over the whole time I've owned it. Item 2: Yamaha DJX keyboard I've had this for about 2 years, and paid about $800 for it. This too has ALWAYS been stored under a dustcover, and again has had hardly any use over the time I've owned it (maybe 50 hours at a guess, if that). So, how much am I asking for them? The MC-505 is going for $1,200, and the DJX for $500, and for those who wish to buy both together I'm asking for $1,500 even. Will try and post pictures/photos tomorrow, please PM for more details. 6. Yeah, but I hadn't reserved the plates yet... Computer god? Me? I wish... Oh well
  7. I hate all those NV-blah-blah-blah and JLS ones too. NVMYXL Umm, why the f*&k would I envy an Excel? YBJLS4 Umm, I'm not... One of my friends used to have XUI-23Q on her car - her husband had a Torana GTR-XU1 in the middle of a rebuild, so they got the plates and put them on her car in the mean time. My cousin built a FJ20ET'd Datto 1600 and had GOD-20T on the plates just after we finished school (this was way back in early '93 when the Euro-style plates had just come out here in NSW). We had stickers made up with "Godzilla Motorsports" on them and put them on each of the wheels and the bootlid, and a V-Spec one for the other side of the bootlid. That was for quit a few years the fastest car I'd ever driven. Saw those same plates on a black MY01 or later (wasn't really paying attention) WRX about a month ago. I was gonna get LDF-00T (as in "Lead Foot") a few years back, but I never got round to it and ended up seeing the plates on an XW or XY Falcon around Winston Hills. Was thinking of getting GLD-21A to make reference to my user-name here. Finally decided last week on STR-86T (Straight 6, Turbo) and went and reserved them last week. I was spewing when I checked the RTA website and saw that they'd gone, but when I actually went into the RTA for something else, I figured there was no harm in asking and seeing maybe the info on the website was wrong. Lucky me!!!
  8. The lights look pretty ordinary... It looks like a bit of a hodge-podge, like they got half-way and thought "Stuff it, let's just put an R-100 tail-light in and be done with it." "Altezza" is what Toyota calls the Lexus IS200 and IS300 on the Japanese market. Nick T.
  9. Yes, I think I would. Hell, actually, given the opportunity, I know I would. On another note, apparently imitation is a form of flattery, and looking at Carlo's "Tosh cam" pics, it seems these two seem to be sharing some body language. Who's imitating who, I wasn't there to witness (anyone care to share this info?), so it's gotta be hard to tell if Tosh was in luck here or not, because the other body language problem is that both of them are crossing their arms in both of those pics, which is generally a sign of having your guard up in a "back off" kind of gesture! The plot thickens...
  10. Hmmmm, sooo tempted as well!!! I'm assuming that they're die-cast and easy to assemble - I'm not much of a talent with the fiddly plastic kits, my first and only one was an R32 GTS-t that I really stuffed up.
  11. Merli, you failed to tell us how big the exhaust tip(s) was - if it's big enough to put a body-builder's leg in, then that's gotta be about 130kW (per exhaust tip, of course). And if the outlet is at least twice the size of the piping before the rear muffler (if it has one), then the figure doubles! Someone's already pointed out the lack of info on type/number of stickers attached to the car (airbrushing adds 35% over stickers), but the Chromies should be worth about 80kW per corner. A GT-style rear wing would bump up the figure somewhat, considering the new technology and subsequent improvements gained in this area since the release of the Veilside-type wing. Also, power would be lost due to the lack of fitment of a DVD player - fancy going to all that effort and not carrying out this final (and simple) mod! Oh, the horror... Nick T.
  12. Go, buy/borrow a G-Tech meter or similar, get some track time, hire a Commonbore and do the tests yourself. Write down your results, bring the G-Tech to court with you (including the box, instructions, etc.) and see if they're willing to accept it. The G-Tech measures 0-100km/h, 100-0km/h, and 0-100 and back to 0km/h, and gives readings for distances travelled as well, so it should serve your purposes pretty well.
  13. Yep, a beautiful sounding V8 it is too, as StraightSix has said... The 928 was actually originally created to replace the 911 back in the late 70's or early 80's, but of course the Porsche purists wouldn't have that, because: a) it was front-engined, B) it was a V8, and c) it was water-cooled. These three factors were pretty much totally against what Porsche had stood for over most of its history until then. And as good as the 928 was (there was even talk for a while of making a four-door version of the 928), people just kept demanding (and buying) the 911's, and the rest is history. Porsche still do make a V8 (as used in the Cayenne 4WD) , but I doubt it's related to the old V8 as used way back in the 928.
  14. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 4-Door Skyline Club sounds like a good idea! Damn it would have been good to be there that day! Nick T.
  15. See the problem with this, B-Man, is that you said "work" function - that's where you stuffed up. If you'd said "a function held by my employer (Telstra)," then maybe I might have believed it. Being an employee of the Government myself, I know not to call it work... :jk: Seriously, almost had me going though... It pays to read on, hey? Damn, meeting Sami would have been nice though... Nick T.
  16. Here's another couple of shots of it - I knew I had a couple of it as well...
  17. Duncan should have died because he's an ugly MoFo... Did anyone know that he used to work at the HMV at Level 5 in Parra Westfields? My sister mentioned it to me once, and I went in there a few weeks afterwards to try and source a DVD (having completely forgotten what she'd told me), and when I saw him I had to laugh because he really is that, um, shall we say "photogenically challenged!?!?!?" Sometimes stage make-up can't help - this is one of those times. Harsh but true...
  18. They really love to screw motorists over, don't they? Dammit, I had an awesome idea for a plate too, but it's gone now. Oh well, it proves that if you snooze, you lose! Nick T
  19. That would be nice... They sell for a mint on the extremely rare occassion that they're found by an Aussie importer. Even better would be an R32 GTB-4 - but only 5 were made AFAIK. They looked just like R324D's car, but with the fat guards on the front AND back, as well as the RB26DETT, of course. Hell, I'd even settle for the Autech R-32 with the atmo RB26DE (still had individual throttle bodies, etc.) Mmmmmmmmm. BTW, R324D, I'm sure I saw your car a few years back waiting to turn right (North) onto Silverwater Rd a few years back. I 'd just turned left 'cos I was on the way to AutoSalon (maybe two years ago?) and spotted your car wating at the intersection, then I did a double-take when I realised it was a Sedan/4-door/coupe-with-practicality/(insert bodystyle description of choice)... Nnnniiiiiiiiiicccccceeeee! Nick T
  20. Jeez, emphasis on the old!!! And it still works? If it's like everything else, then Cobra's probably only kept 7yrs worth of spares stocks, unless they've used the same stye remote with a series (or two or three...) of alarms which are similar. I reckon Silver-Arrowz is right, if you can't track down someone to replace it with an original-spec remote, then go to Jaycar or Tandy, or somewhere like that...
  21. ido09s, I'm assuming that Sonic was replying to junkie13's post (as above). I regret not having taken a better look at it myself now :slap: , it did look good from a distance... I've added my photos from the day to the SnS Gallery. They're not that special, but they're there. Nick T.
  22. Dammit, these shots REALLY put my photos to shame. Oh well, I uploaded them anyway... My batteries ran out towards the end of the day, and I left my spares in the car and was too lazy to go back to the carpark. As soon as I saw you setting up your camera with the tripod and getting the cars lined up, I was pretty certain that a shortage of good photos of the day wouldn't be too much of an issue. Nice work Andrew! Cheers, Nick T
  23. I remember reading about this YEARS ago in Wheels or something... It was an Autech-produced car, as Nismodified stated, and it was basically everything the R-32 GT-R was, bar the TT's. I think (not sure, so don't quote me on this) it was even a 4-door, and as you'd expect, it looked HOT!!! Seeing that car waaaaaayyyyy back then (early '90's) started my love for the '32 four-door... :boinkcar:
