Ted! Good to have you back online, man! I hope the new format of the forums doesn't start causing issues for you (and others) again like the old one did...

What Have You Done To Your C34 Lately?
GoldZilla replied to Dream15's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ummm, I know that your thread is "What have you done to your C34 lately," but we don't need two threads about the same subject, regardless of whether it's a C34 or an M35... Here's the original thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/348629-what-have-you-done-to-your-stagea-lately/ -
Spotted a silver s1 C34 at the United servo on Fitzwilliam Road in Toongabbie last night around 9.45pm. It had a set of mesh-style wheels kinda like you'd see being sold at Bob Jane's... I'd fuelled up there around 4hrs before, and I don't think I've ever seen this car in my area.

Justin, post this in the Stagea section and you should get a reply. (Or let me know if you want it moved.)

Hey all, SAU-NSW are working with Top Secret Imports to bring you our next Tech night. The theme: Buying a car - the buyers' guide. The night will be very laid-back - we'll have a BBQ going and some drinks (both at a small fee), catch up with old friendly faces, meet some new ones (and finally put faces to user-names), wander around the workshop/showroom, and hopefully learn some stuff in the process! Top Secret Imports have a wide selection of cars in their showrooms, ranging from Nissan Cubes to exotics like Lamborghini Gallardos and Maserati 4200GTs. As often happens at these tech nights, there'll be some prizes handed out to a lucky few! (Details to follow.) The details are as below: Where: Top Secret Imports - 36 Forge Street, Blacktown Venue map link: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=36+forge+st+blacktown&hl=en&ll=-33.751839,150.911671&spn=0.002103,0.004729&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hnear=36+Forge+St,+Blacktown+New+South+Wales+2148&t=h&z=19 Date: Saturday the 14th of April (the week after Easter). Time: Arrive at approx. 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start Food and drinks: A BBQ and drinks will be available for a small fee on the night Who can come along: All are welcome - whether you're a club member or not, come along! All that we ask is that you let us know in this thread if you'd like to come along, so we can cater for numbers with food and drinks for the night. (If you'd like to join SAU-NSW as an official member, we'll have some forms ready for you to fill in, too.) As this is an SAU-NSW official event, we will be covered under a CAMS permit. Of course, as SAU-NSW actively promotes good behaviour, there will be NO tolerance for burnouts, loud music, cars racing or speeding, and/or anything else which will bring disrepute to the Club, either outside the venue itself or in the surrounding areas.

You boys (and girls) DO realise that we have a NSW Events section, right? The SAU-NSW Exec team try and organise at least one event a month, whether it be a tech night, track day, Texikhana skid pan day, a social event or something or other. Come and support the club (please!) and attend a few days here and there - it sucks when people complain that nothing is on, but when we DO organise something then no-one turns up. The Events section is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/33-events/ Even better, join up as a member of SAU-NSW. Details are here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/365434-s-a-u-n-s-w-club-membership-faq/

Alex, if it's a silver s1, his name is Shaun (username: sh@un). He's been on SAU since forever, but rarely posts anymore.

Neither do I - too overdone for my taste. -
What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
GoldZilla replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Drunkan, you've fixed the speedo, but the tacho looks like the reading is out of whack too. And what wheels and tyres are you running now? Pics please? -
Screw you all!!! According to the stats I've been gathering, I'm averaging 14.87l/100kms. I've got a full exhaust, FMIC, PowerFC and a GReddy EBC - must be the short trips and heavy right foot. I don't speed anywhere, but I love the feeling of acceleration, so that's killing my fuel economy.
-
Yep, either huge miles or a huge price-tag! The M5 attracts its price because, well, it's an M5! The 540i attracts its price because the 6spd manual was so rare and (apparently) such a nice car! Either the M5 or the 540i would be soooo nice, but I shall continue to dream...
-
So, who can buy me an E34 M5 or 540i manual? Please???
-
Word of warning, ladies and gents: this lands on Easter Sunday, so be VERY wary of extra patrols and Double Demerits.

LOL @ Iain - his car's not even a "proper" VW. Oh, and in regards to factory-fitted LED DRLs, I have to say that I think Audi are amongst the very few manufacturers getting it looking right. -
The important thing is to keep the same rolling diameter/circumference on the front and rear. Otherwise, it creates variations because the front and rear wheels are rolling at different speeds, then the ATTESA computer tries to constantly correct it, and it creates extra (and unnecessary) wear on the transfer case, leading to expensive repairs.

Spotted a white R34 GTt parked in the carpark at Winston Hills shopping centre today.

Bring on the meet, Alex! Good to see you got results, and good to hear you're happy with Yavuz and his work. I wish I could have made it to come out and catch up while you were down there, but got busy on the day and had plans to head into the city that night, so I had to get everything sorted before I headed into town. Looks like you're making great progress so far, though!

Raf, have you tried going to any roof rack shops? A quick Google search revealed in your area: Roof Rack City Minto, Macarthur 4wd Accessories - Unit 10, 5 Merryvale Road Minto NSW 2566 Phone: (02) 9820 6493 Fax: (02) 9820 6393 Bicycles Plus - Shop 2, 17 Blaxland Road, Campbelltown, NSW 2560 Phone: 02 4628 3155 Fax: 02 4628 3177 PROEX, 25 Liverpool St, INGLEBURN NSW 2565 I'm pretty sure that the C34 guys just bought cross bars that fit onto the factory roof rails (I think the ones that suited were off a Toyota Rav4), so it might be an idea to measure the distance between the rails and see what's available that will work. Also, the ones I've seen on some cars look like they're lockable at different points so you can adjust how far apart they are (and so they don't block your sunroof). For the dog screen, try the same thing - see if there's something off the shelf (or easily modified) that would suit a Falcon or Commodore wagon, and measure it up. Ask at a pet shop or vet's, maybe?

Spotted a white M35 (might have been a PM35) heading west on Queens Road in Five Dock while I was heading east. Spotted it right near where the industrial area ends and the houses start again.
