  1. If you're not happy with SAS, you might as well try Unigroup Engineering who are only a few streets over from SSS Automotive.
  2. Only if we can use them to go fishing in, lol.
  3. LOL, not providing a suburb and/or state doesn't help...
  4. Hey Brett, welcome to SAU! Now that all of this year's events are done and dusted, us Execs will be mostly taking a break over Christmas and New Year's before we get back together in January to set up stuff for 2012.

  6. Umm, from what I've heard, some schools will still be running until maybe Tuesday. State schools and private schools often run on different schedules.
  7. The wrap-up thread is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/385931-wakefield-wrap-up-thread/
  8. LOL, towing an R33 around will always get you negative attention...
  9. Silver C34 (I'm pretty sure it was an s2) going North on the Pacific Highway in Hornsby last night, roughly 8-8.30pm. I was sitting inside a restaurant when I spotted it, and my car was parked along Pacific Highway around the corner.
  10. Spotted Alex in his MX83 Cressida daily out the back of Five Dock on Saturday arvo. Also, last night I spotted a white s2 C34 parked at the Poineer Hotel in South Penrith, then the same car not far away in Penrith - rego is COP003.
  11. What colour, Justin? There's quite a few of the blue Torque shirts, not many grey.
  12. Thread updated!!! C'mon people, buy stuff - you KNOW you want to!
  13. <======. Keep an eye on your avatar at the left of your posts. Once you see the light blue "NSW Club Member" tag, you'll know your payments/application has been received and processed. From then on, you'll have access to the exclusive Members' section, as well as discounts to events, merchandise, etc. The card and membership package will follow, but it depends on how busy Shell is before she an process it... Patience is the key!
  14. I drove an E50 (the earlier model with the VG30 in it) a few weeks back. Isn't too bad for the age of the car, goes pretty well and didn't struggle with 6 people in it. It sounds kinda busy on uphill stretches at freeway speeds, but if you look down at the tacho it's only pulling about 3,800rpm at roughly 100-110km/h in 3rd gear. Obviously the centre of gravity is higher, and that took some getting used to, and (also obviously) trying to drive around potholes doesn't really happen. The one I drove had "adjustable" suspension, but in auto mode it was very floaty, and in sport mode it was a bit harsh over bumps - which, like I mentioned, are hard to steer around to avoid. The main issue I had with it, though, was the total lack of feeling in the steering. It's way too light and feels like it tends to wander a bit - this might be helped with a wheel alignment and some extra caster, but who knows... It had plenty of gadgets though, so seemed pretty good value. Oh, one other thing: my left leg was sore after about 45mins of driving, and I was on the road for just over 4hrs total that day (home near Parramatta to airport, then airport to Central Coast, then back home again via airport). Between gear changes, I'm used to being able to rest my left leg on the centre console of the Stagea, so maybe the fact that I was driving an auto and didn't have anything proper to rest my leg against (especially for the amount of time I was on the road).
  15. Silver s1 C34 turning off Seven Hills Rd (Prospect Highway) onto Station Road today. Had a small yellow courier company sticker on it just under the door mirror, so it might have been sh@un.
  16. Yep, and the world was just subjected to another picture of my ugly head! LOL And WTF is Paul doing?
  17. Thanks gents!
  18. I didn't take many shots on the night of the "Dinner with Legends" thing with SAU-NSW, but this is one of them. Didn't spend much time setting it up, was too busy helping make sure everything else was set up for the night... Here's the article (written by me, photos by MaTBoY): http://autocult.mattheweveringham.com/2011/12/skylines-australia-nsws-dinner-of-legends-with-jim-richards-and-fred-gibson/
  19. Good stuff Michael! Volunteer help is always welcome.
  20. Good stuff! Getting the card really depends on how busy Shell is - just remember that the people running the club are all volunteers, with regular jobs and social lives outside the SAU community. Did you order a polo shirt too?
  21. Organise one, Malcolm! I'm sure you know some nice roads, and it would be good to catch up, too.
  22. Touche, but it should still read "they're doing their job" instead of:
  23. Only three full days left to order, people! I'm sending payment, PM and email right... ...meow!
