  1. Ouch... LOL. That, or stock up on protein shake mix, depending on what side you're fighting for.
  2. Tim Grove is a top bloke in person too! F'king hilarious what it's blown out to become. The situation could have been resolved so easily, but those clowns were clearly way too dumb to " back down."
  3. Dave, if you've got to the point of compression locking, that means that you've managed to get past the synchros, got the car in gear, but the revs are still too high for the wheel speed. Also, further to Duncan's post, learning to correctly heel-and-toe early before you get into a corner will help with engine braking, taking some of the pressure (and therefore heat) off your brakes.
  4. Leon, that part of Blacktown isn't too bad, but TSI is on the other side of Blacktown, ant it's a surprisingly big area covered by just that suburb. The hotel is close to Eastern Creek on the south side, but TSI is on the north side. Dale's suggestion of Hotel Formule 1 is probably a decent option, except for their reputation - no idea if it's still as bad as it apparently was (I've never personally stayed there). There are a few other options, if you want more info let me (or us) know, and we can ty and find something a bit closer.
  5. I'll be there with StageIan, but unfortunately he's still not able to drive his own car after his bike crash.
  6. Sweet. This is the location we'll be leaving from when we have the 15th Anniversary cruise.
  7. Now, people, as Top Secret Imports are our sponsors for the event, it would be awesome if you could all come down there this Friday night for the JDMST End Of Month Meet (EOMM). They are very kindly supporting us, so it would be great to support them too. Details: Date: Friday 26 August Time: 6pm - late Location: Top Secret Imports, 36 Forge Street, Blacktown (off Sunnyholt Road) Map link: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=Top+Secret+Imports,+Forge+Street,+Blacktown,+New+South+Wales&hl=en&sll=-33.781401,150.951862&sspn=0.014749,0.033023&vpsrc=0&t=h&z=17 More details: http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php?36612-NSW-JDMST-EOMM-x-Top-Secret-Imports-x-Project-D-Drift-School
  8. Yule Towing in Smithfield, New South Wales (02) 9756 5552 8 Smithfield Rd, Smithfield, NSW, 2164 I highly recommend this guy!
  9. Pretty much. Those tuners who do have an AWD dyno will use it to measure awkW.
  10. *pts motion forward at next Exec meeting* Now, which Exec will second the motion?
  11. LOL, I've done that before - changed my battery in the car and still had issues, so me and my old man ran a second cable for the negative terminal, and the problem wasn't solved... Turned out the positive terminal was not getting enough contact. Damn you and your hot Canadian female friends!
  12. That's an awesome catch, John!
  13. Cheers Adam, congrats on the sale! Are you still gonna come and "visit us" when you get your 34R?
  14. I was gonna mention that too. Regardless, it's hard to make an accurate correlation between power at the wheels compared to at the flywheel - there are too many variances to factor in: fluids in gearbox, diff and transfer cases; loss of efficiency in CV and uni joints; tyres (including compounds and pressures); etc. Oh, and because I'm pedantic, ATTESA is spelt with two T's and one S.
  15. Spotted a black R33 GT-R parked next to a blue S15 today at the Homemaker centre in Castle Hill.
  16. I finally got my idling issue sorted about 2 weeks ago! Yesterday (Tuesday) I got the pink slip done, then took it for a wash. Today it rained... F'king typical! I really should get a rear wing, the rest of the car stays clean when it's wet, but the air must recirculate from the tailgate and keep all the dust in that area.
  17. 1997 s1 RS4 with manual conversion already done , bought in October 05 (I think?) with roughly 77k on it, took it for a rego check yesterday and it was on exactly 143,900kms.
  18. Correct! I think I've fixed it, please check and report back, peeps.
  19. OK, I haven't checked any of the values of the cars I'm suggesting, but if you want something small, light and economical but still fun (i.e. ignore the Echo/Yaris and any of the Korean or Malaysian options): Honda Jazz Mazda 2 Ford Fiesta VW Polo Suzuki Swift
  20. Spotted kuma j's car last night in Mascot, and also a black R32 GTSt in the same parking lot at Manhattan Super Bowl
  21. I'm guessing by his username that his car is an RS2, so it would be auto
  22. It really depends on what you prefer. Go into a shop where you can hold both in your hands and see what feels more comfortable - think about the button layout and the size of the grip/whole camera. If you feel one "sits" better in your hands right from the start, then you're more likely to use it more often. Oh, another thing to consider is if you have friends and/or family that have a DSLR camera too - if you buy the same brand as them, then you can most likely swap/share lenses and accessories once in a while too.
  23. You can do a search for cheaper green slips on greenslips.com.au or something similar (Google will confirm). Blue slip is only required for unregistered cars, correct, but you will still need a pink slip to get your rego.
