  1. Has anyone seen the movie "RED" with Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich in it? I was watching that and noticed that Jetwreck has a doppelganger in one of the other major roles... http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2658108928/tt1245526 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2356119040/tt1245526 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1539997696/tt1245526 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2815066112/tt1245526
  2. Ouch, Brendo, not good to hear... Have you checked all over the block to see if you haven't punched a hole in it somewhere? If there is oil spraying everywhere, try and see where it's spraying from, then shut the engine down and feel around the block (assuming it's not too hot to touch, of course!). If it's also coming out the exhaust, then maybe you've blown a piston ring or cracked a piston itself. Best of look with finding out what it is.
  3. John, this is the calibration tool I use, and it's super-easy. Just switch on your computer and monitor, let it work for at least 30mins, the plug the Spyder unit in via USB, run the software and let it do its thing... http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod6501.htm DCW is pretty close to you too, in Canterbury.
  4. Please read this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/228238-read-this-whos-the-best-tunerworkshopresprayerdetaileretc/ - everyone will have their own opinion, and some people like certain workshops more than others. My money is with Unigroup.
  5. Alright, next question - zip-up hoodies or pull-over? Or should I try and get both?
  6. It came in the Eunos (as a 1.8 litre V6) or as a Mazda 323 Astina hard-top (4-door sedan) as well as Astina hatch. Yep, same block, but the 323s were a 2.0 litre and Eunos was a 1.8 litre, (co-developed with Suzuki, I believe, and used in V6 Vitaras from that era and plenty of years after). Was a beautifully smooth engine. A mate had a 626 with the 2.5 and put an exhaust on it, and it sounded lush! I'm guessing the 2.0 would be just as nice to listen to.
  7. Alright then, Toongabbie Creek it is! No waves, no view, no people, nothing to love, but it's right near my house and I'm lazy!
  8. Sounds good to me, I don't think I have plans that night.
  9. Bah, there's also a Memorial Dinner on that night - won't be able to attend Pizza Cruise...
  10. Yep, bottle opener keyrings are available, I just have to complete the updated merchandise thread and you'll see it on there... And yep, I want a hoodie too!
  11. Spotted a dark blue NM35 on Friday afternoon, around 3.15pm heading towards Parramatta on Kissing Point Road (where it meets with Silverwater Road) in Dundas.
  12. LOL, if you guys are gonna be attending JDMST meets, I really should come along too - I've signed up to the forums there (I think ) , but haven't been on it much.
  13. Hahaha, that is AWESOME, Adam! Also, I love the fact that I was (most likely) the first person to use the term "LOLvo" and it's caught on...
  14. I'm currently in the process of mixing up the SAU-NSW merchandise available. There's going to be a deleting of products and the addition of a few select new products. BUT!!! I want your help. What products would you like to see produced? Please remember: It has to be financially viable - we have to protect the interests of the club. There's no point in ordering and stocking items which will not sell. And there's (unfortunately) especially not much point in suggesting something that will be expensive to produce and keep in stock.
  15. I'm with you, Mark - can't wait!
  16. Dude, you're roughly 20-30mins away from either me or Matt (in different directions, though), so all you have to do is let one (or a few) of us know when you wanna go out for a shoot, and we'll tee something up.
  17. Man, I had such a crap month for photos over April. Everytime I'd try and line up a shoot, either something else would come up at the last minute, or it would rain when I'd hoped to be shooting outside. . Any photos I did take were just flat and uninspired. Couldn't even look at them long enough to consider how to edit them. Here's hoping this month is MUCH better. It's getting colder, but the rain usually eases over winter.
  18. I'm more worried about making sure my insurance is still valid *if* I ever have a crash, regardless of who's fault it was. Luckily for me, my old man is fairly proficient at waving spanners around and under a car (and occasionally throwing them at a wall when he gets the shits), so his help has been invaluable over the years. I've just recently gotten a set of R32 GTR front calipers too, so once I get the rears to match, I'll buy some new rotors and braided lines and tackle the swap.
  19. Sorry for delayed replies, guys, but... No idea how much camber it was, but it was clearly too much! My neighbour did it last, I think, and *maybe* he didn't account for the extra weight of a wagon compared to his g/friend Anna (msnismo)'s R33 GTSt. These were rears, Iain. Was on the inside of the tyre, which is why I hadn't noticed earlier, despite me doing a quick (but obviously insufficient) check of the tyres fairly often. Surely toe-in would cause wear on the outside of the tyre, not inside, right? Mine's a C34, though... Yeah, thankfully StageIan chose just that night to also come along to the meet in his red s2, and he lives all of 2mins away from me. I had the spare, but with the difference in diameter (and lack of air until I got to the servo) it was causing major issues with the ATTESA. Duncan, see my reply to zei-Iain above.
  20. Alright, according to the factory specs as printed in my old HyperRev magazine: Series 1 - October 1996 to August 1998 20G (E-WHC34 with RB20E, RWD only)came with 195/65R15. 25G and 25X (both E-WGC34 with RB25DE, RWD only) came with 205/60R15. 25G-Four and 25X-Four (both E-WGNC34 with RB25DE and AWD) came with 205/60R15. RS-Four (also E-WGNC34, but with RB25DET and AWD) came with 205/60R16. RS-Four V (as above for RS-Four, but higher spec features) came with 205/55R16. 260RS (again, E-WGNC34 but with RB26DETT and AWD) came with 225/50R17. Series 2 - August 1998 to (approx) September 2001 20G, 20X (GF-WHC34 with RB20DE, RWD only), 25X (GF-WGC34 with RB25DE, RWD only), and 25X-Four (GF-WGNC34 with RB25DE and AWD) all had 205/60R15. 25RS (GF-WGC34 with RB25DE, RWD only), 25t RS V (GF-WGC34 with RB25DET, but RWD only), 25RS-Four (GF-WGNC34 with RB25DE and AWD), 25t X-Four and 25t RS-Four V (both GF-WGNC34 with RB25DET and AWD) all came with 205/55R16. 25t RS-Four S (GF-WGNC34 with RB25DET, AWD and factory manual) came with 215/50R17. 260RS same as series 1, i.e. 225/50R17. That was a very hard post to write - some of the spec levels changed between s1 and s2, new models were added, some taken away, and the chart I'm reading is very confusing...  Anyway, I REALLY hope that helps.
  21. If you've recently replaced any bulbs, make sure you got the correct type. As you'll read above, I didn't have the right ones in and once that was sorted the problem went away. I still have the LEDs in and it's all good. IIRC, the hazards are on a separate circuit to the indicators, so maybe the issue is with the flasher can. I still have my old one here, somewhere... The only problem with that is that I'm in Sydney.
  22. It's actually THE MOST IMPORTANT step. Get it slightly wrong, and the car will run a bit rough, but get it seriously wrong and it can do major damage. Srsly. I don't think the RB engines are an "interference" engine - someone can correct me on that - but some engines (like those in the later Holden Astras) are, and if a timing belt breaks, it's goodbye valves and pistons, and hello big repair bills and empty wallets.
  23. Correct, Chubbs.
  24. Sidd, I have to agree with Matt and Kory - your photos are just getting better and better! And like Matt, I would never agree to be a wedding photographer. It'd be more pressure than I want to handle making sure everything goes right, because it's one day you can't really go back and repeat. Matt, nice work with the 34 too! Looks like a good location.
  25. Here's what I did to my Stagea on Thursday night on the way up the coast: Tyre blew on the F3 just before the heavy vehicle checking station/weighbridge - luckily for me it just deflated really quickly instead of exploding. MASSIVE thanks to StageIan for helping, and then giving me a lift home from the coast. Obviously I'll have to take a LOT of camber out when I get a new set installed in a few days - both sides were worn right down to the thread/metal...
