  1. Hmmm, today I saw a dark blue Maserati in roughly the same spot along Fitzwilliam Rd, so I'm wondering if it's the same person as last time.
  2. To answer question 2, an 8.5" rim WILL take a wider tyre than a 235 - I've got 245s on an 8" rim, so it will not be an issue. Also, wheel and tyre changes shouldn't need an engineers' certificate, as long as you don't go too crazy. Just make sure you figure out the rolling diameters for the wheel/tyre combo so it doesn't throw your speedo reading out.
  3. Bah, SAU-NSW is having a little get-together at JapLink the same night, so I might come down early, then leave around 7pm to head across from Lane Cove to Haberfield. All are welcome (whether you're an SAU-NSW member or not), but please let Eric (aka Pezhead) know beforehand if you wish to attend. Space is a bit limited, unfortunately. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/358608-charity-movie-night-sat-2nd-apr-sau-clubhouse/
  4. The SAU-NSW Exec team would like all members to know that this is a matter of opinion, and is not necessarily the collective view of the whole team...
  5. Sad to hear, Sasha. Mars??? C'mon Mars...
  6. Actually, almost ALL events put on by SAU-NSW give priority access to SAU-NSW members first. There are plenty of other benefits too.
  7. I spotted a silver R34 GTt on Norwest Boulevarde heading South (towards Old Windsor Road) at around 3pm today.
  8. Oh yeah, California Games 1 and 2!!!
  9. But then your daylight can have more daylight, right?
  10. That includes starter motors from six-cylinder VL Commodores, so if you get a price you don't like, ask for the price of one off a VL. Unfortunately, it's not too uncommon to see the same parts being sold at different prices depending on what car the application is for.
  11. Spotted a silver s1 C34 today on Seven Hills Road (Prospect Highway) approaching the intersection at Station Road around 2pm. I beeped and waved, not sure if the driver saw me.
  12. Received my copy of PI in the mail today (it's issue #133, with a dark blue Garage Kagotani s8 RX7 on the front cover) - great article by Matt (God_speed), and great photos too! Awesome work!
  13. Guys and girls, you CANNOT defamate ANY business here on SAU, regardless of who it is and what they've done - it's in the rules you signed up to these forums under:
  14. ...and make sure you don't act like an attention-grabbing idiot while out on the road. SAU has a pretty good reputation across the country, we don't need people ruining that.
  15. Hey!
  16. I remember playing Test Drive 2 heaps, but can't remember what computer I was playing it on at the time. Maybe a C64 or Amiga?
  17. Oh, I got my 70-200 f/2.8 today. It would have been nice to have a new Mk.II version with the IS, but it's almost double the price! And I haven't posted any photos at all this month (apart from the modelling/jewellery shots in the Chat section) because I'm trying to sort out all my images between laptop, desktop and (mirrored) external NAS drives.
  18. We really should try and organise that soon. Last time (for the SAU-NSW calendar), my car was used as the rolling rig to shoot from, but I want some shots of it for myself too.
  19. Holy crap, woman!!! This has to be THE MOST EPIC OF EPIC thread digs EVAH! I think you win the Intranerds award of the 21st century.
  20. LOL, Sidd I only posted those photos because I know the other guys are waiting for photos of my cousin's wife...
  21. Ahh okay... Oh, I just spotted a red s2 C34 on Prospect Highway near the M4 on/off ramps, just before 1.45am - they were heading towards the freeway, and I'd just jumped off. I beeped, but not sure if they heard or had enough time to react. StageIan???
  22. Oh alright, because you all asked for it...
  23. Is your car black, Jean? It might have been you I spotted in Seven Hills (near the corner of Station Road and Powers Road) a few months back, when I was (unfortunately) driving my old man's car. IIRC you were wearing a cap that day too.
  24. Just a meet-up. It's a good location where we can sit back undisturbed, have a chat, talk and compare cars, have a feed, etc. It's in an industrial area, so there's not really that many roads worth cruising on.
  25. Can't wait! Who's bringing cameras?
