  1. Not necessarily - if you can afford a decent HDMI cable, go for it. Regardless, make sure it's properly insulated, especially if you'll be running it next to power cables or if it's gotta stretch a long way. I took my PS3 out with me a few weeks ago, and luckily brought 2 HDMI cables with me - the first one would barely work, and when it did produce a picture it had heaps of interference. Plugged in the second one, and problems solved!
  2. Sidd, good choice with taking it to Yavuz - he is a legend. So down to earth, yet so knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen to you, answer questions, explain everything so you understand, and his work is good value too! Let us know when you're heading out there for the tune, I live less than 10mins away, and Matt works about 10mins away too.
  3. Matt, we should see if we can get some more rolling shots happening.
  4. Kory, it's 40cm x 60cm - not inches! Definitely smaller than your softbox we used at the last one with Eric, Steve-O, "intune" Nick, Evan, etc.
  5. Spotted GTRsean twice yesterday - once turning off Mulgoa Road in Penrith towards Red Rooster, then again later at the photoshoot. Also spotted Steve-O in the Poopra, Matt in the cheater car Evo, Terry in his new Bayside Blue R34, AggroDave in his GT+t, Deano1 in his 32-R, and a few others who I don't know the forum names of, unfortunately.
  6. We ended up finishing up around 12.45am, and by the time packing up was done and we had a quick final chat, I think another half an hour had passed.
  7. Jay, I agree with everyone else about the HDR's - they look really natural! Some people really over-do them, and I don't really like that style much myself. Sometimes it works, but it has to be used in the right context. I could barely call myself an amateur, but I know what I like... Here's a vid my friend posted up on FB, it's good for a laugh: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1944668

  9. Good stuff, Brendo! Beer is a magical liquid, I shall have some now.
  10. I've got that same kit, Rhet. It's a bit of a PITA to install, and may leak a bit because getting in there to tighten it up is hard with so little space to work in. Also, despite looking like braided oil lines, they're just regular rubber oil lines with the "braided" covering, unfortunately. But it makes changing filters soooo much easier, so it's worth it!
  11. I spotted a silver NM35 AXIS last night just before 7pm, I was heading North on the F3 freeway and about to take the Berowra exit, the AXIS was heading in the opposite direction.
  12. Epic thread revival is epic!
  13. There's already a sticky'd thread for this, and it's here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/228238-read-this-whos-the-best-tunerworkshopresprayerdetaileretc/ If you want someone trustworthy in the Parramatta area, it's Yavuz @ Unigroup Engineering.
  14. Thanks Eric, I'll let the old man know. But you do realise that all Camry Sportivo's came with that kit, right?
  15. Regret to inform, Matthew, but those last four photos are not black and white...
  16. The totally awesome(!) photos I took yesterday can be seen here: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=10035247&__Ntt=2003&__Qpb=true&__Dx=mode%20matchany&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=2003&__N=1216%201282%204294962464%204294962861%204294927688%201506%20898&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&seot=1&__Ntk=CarAll&silo=1011&Cr=9&__Nne=15&trecs=15&__D=2003&__sid=120E8126DC32 Anyone wanna buy it? Only 48,500kms!
  17. LOL, I haven't used the headphones for anything at all for ages, so I haven't needed to have them charged. That 'Stang is a pretty nice car to drive, actually. Pretty surprising for an old American car, but then again it is a Shelby, so maybe the suspension tune was made better for race homologation or whatever. I haven't done any suspension mods to it yet.
  18. Spotted quite a few R34s today, all except one were GT-Rs. Spotted two dark silver ones, a Bayside Blue one, and a silver GTt. Also spotted two V35s (a silver four-door and a dark blue coupe).
  19. Spotted a white s2 today somewhere between Parramatta (Church Street) and Five Dock (Parra Rd), via Rose Hill. I *think* the number plates were NEO747, didn't see them properly. I was in my old man's car.
  20. Spotted a grey/dark silver R34 GT-R tonight around 7pm, travelling along Old Windsor Road in Seven Hills. I was waiting at the lights to go from Abbott Road onto the M2, the GT-R was heading North-West.
  21. Spotted a black M35 (maybe ARX) turning off Pennant Hills Road onto the M2 and heading towards the Hills tonight at around 7.20pm.
  22. I've made the same mistake... Currently running at level7 in B-spec, and around level 15 in A-spec. Most of my time playing until this week was with friends over playing Arcade mode in split screen. I had a massive freeze-up then the PS3 glitched out while I was online with Cam (iamhe) last night. Had to force the PS3 to shut down, then when it rebooted it had to do a restore before it would work again. Also, the battery in my BT headphones were dead, so now that they're charged I'll have to see if they actually work. Done (well, will do when I next turn it on).
  23. Quick question: who uses "mickeyinc" as their username on PSN? I've got them in my friends list, but can't remember who it is...
  24. Done! Iain, what's your username on PSN? Anyway, let's continue the Gran Turismo discussion here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/345893-any-gran-turismo-5-players-out-there/page__st__40__gopid__5641859#entry5641859
