  1. Good stuff, Mr Clown Man! How's the body treating you? Knees, back, etc.?
  2. I think Steve-O means to get him to come to this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/349579-texi-skids-on-sunday-13th-feb-2011/page__pid__5619536#entry5619536 THEN, I'd be interested!
  3. Hmmm, so that begs the question: do we snap these up, or wait to see what the new ones are like? And if they're trying to get rid of stock, shouldn't they be discounting ALL of them, or is it just the chargers that they'll be updating?
  4. LOL, enough was enough! If Duncan didn't do it, I was gonna...
  5. Yeah, I must have been concentrating on the traffic and making sure I didn't dent/scratch a car that I wasn't familiar with. A bright yellow Stagea isn't exactly inconspicuous, so I'm now wondering myself how I missed it, Oh well... I'm very rarely in the area, but I'm pretty sure last time I was there I was in my car, and it was a few months ago, so it's likely that you did see me. My friend lives on Hume Road, but not sure how much longer she'll be living there.
  6. Should do, assuming you can actually find a store with decent (or any) stock...
  7. Sidd, you got props from one of your models who's on dA:
  8. Holy crap, the charger and 4x battery combo is cheaper than the 4x batteries by themselves!
  9. LOL, that's hilarious - and a little sad if it says anything about the owners that Skylines are attracting. Hahaha, you should yell out "Hey, show some respect for the deceased..." and see what their reaction is.
  10. Pfft, local cars are par for the course, so we need to pick on the real(?) threats to Stageas (and NOT each other, FFS)!
  11. Hahaha, I'm surprised too, and that probably was us in the orange FPV. We were parked in that carpark for about 20mins as we ducked into Franklins.
  12. Seriously, dude, stop with the name-calling and threats. If you want everyone to at least attempt to get along, you're not helping the situation. And the old Chilli chat thread is locked anyway, so it's not as if anyone can post in it.
  13. I saw it at the Motor Show last year in the exhibitors and traders section. If the car is going to be running and driven, then I might consider coming out to see it... If it's just going to be sitting there like it was at the Motor Show, then I'll pass.
  14. Yeah, me too. Oh well, once you get past the first page (which is before the January one and only has photos anyway), it's all good.
  15. I'll most likely be attending!
  16. Russel, that white Skyline (if it was an R33) could well have been Cassbo - I'm pretty sure he and a bunch of his friends were heading out towards Bathurst or something.
  17. Was heading out with a friend, and she didn't feel up to driving. Her boyfriend owns a series 2 BA FPV GT-P, so, given the option, I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, and to confirm what all the magazines had said. 1. Decent steering? Yeah, not bad, but too soft just off centre, with no feel. 2. Good performance? Epic fail! I didn't push it to redline (because it literally doesn't have one marked on the tacho), and only drove it at max three-quarter throttle maybe twice, but my car feels much nicer to drive everywhere. I seriously thought a 5.4 litre V8 with 10.5:1 compression ratio would be more responsive than my car down low in general driving. Surely 290kW and 520Nm at the flywheel should be able to overcome 1825kgs better than what a Stagea has to cope with, right??? 3. Decent ride/handling? Yeah, not bad, but on expansion joints and similar stuff it gets a bit floaty for a second before the slack is taken up, and that didn't inspire a lot of confidence, especially seeing as I was just driving normally. 4. Terrible driving position? Confirmed! Seats too high, steering wheel too low. The seats were at their lowest when I got in, and it's MUCH worse than my old man's 2003 Camry in that regard. (At least in the Camry you start to get used to it after a while...) If you have the steering wheel set low, it hits your legs. If you set it up higher so you're (at least somewhat) comfortable, you can't see the bottom of the dash - the bits you need to see to keep an eye on the speed when driving around the 'burbs. Changing gears means your left elbow comes into contact with the lid of the centre AND the seat bolster. The clutch, though, was nice to use - not heavy, and I didn't stall it at all, even though it's the first time I've driven the car. 5. Bad fuel economy? Hah, us Stagea drivers have nothing to worry about!!! My friend tells me that 18l/100kms is pretty regular, and the instantaneous fuel usage goes up to around 48l/100kms on uphill acceleration. All in all? Meh... So, who's claiming ownership of the C34's I saw down there, then?
  18. I spotted four tonight, but all C34's, all in Cronulla, and all within the space of around half an hour! First was a silver s1 with black 5-spoke wheels on the Kingsway, next was a black s2 with (non-standard) mesh wheels parked in the multi-storey carpark on Croydon Street, another s2, this time white somewhere off Gerrale Stree I think as I was leaving the shops to head to a friend's, then a silver one (maybe the same as the first one, but couldn't see enough to tell if it was an s1 or s2) parked on the street in front of a boat trailer not far from Hume Road. And I chose tonight NOT to drive mine, hey???
  19. Here are two from last night at the meet-up point for the weekly Thursday night cruise: This one is a macro shot of the headlight of Jetwreck's M35 Stagea.
  20. LOL, this thread is indeed a good idea, Cam - AS LONG AS THERE ARE NO PERSONAL ATTACKS. Sh!t-stirring of others is fine (either here or in any other thread), but you all HAVE to know where to draw the line. If it's intended as a sh!t-stir, use a "LOL" or a smilie/emoticon at the end of your posts, so the intention is clear right from the outset. If you've typed something that *might* look offensive to people, either re-write it BEFORE posting or don't post it at all - you all have that option to check what you've written before putting it out on a public forum. Okay?
  21. You do realise that the thread name CAN be changed by a few select individuals, don't you Dale???
  22. I'm about to order another two... PM sent right MEOW!
  23. Let's see how it goes, hey? If the calm is restored, then all is good!
  24. This one is fine, it was the chat thread before all the in-fighting and got merged with the other thread. I just seriously hope people can lighten up and calm down. It's not been a great start to 2011.
