  1. Fine, be like that, and ignore the clearly superior C34 and its awesome owner present last night too...
  2. Bah, give it up EVERYONE, please! This is the Internet, so unless we're actually trying to provide factual information in the brake or suspension thread or whatever, then any comments really should be taken with a grain of salt and a laugh... Seriously, if this crap continues, it's not the new reputation system you'll need to worry about, it'll be the warnings and eventual bannings. I very rarely had to moderate this thread before, but lately it's just become a sh!tfight, and it's not just one or two of you.
  3. Had so many good opportunities for photos tonight on the way to and from the weekly cruise to the Central Coast, but shooting photos while driving isn't the best idea, unfortunately, especially at freeway speeds. Still, I managed to get a few good shots today in the front yard at home, so I'll post those up by tonight or, at the latest, the end of the weekend.
  4. I like Iain's solution, Benny!
  5. People, please check the first post - new details added with times/locations...
  6. I'm in Alex, and zeIain might be too, I believe. Who else? Calabrese, you coming?
  7. Bump!!! Craig, now that the car is back on the road (at least somewhat, anyway), how long before we can set up a meet?
  8. Do you live in the area, Skittles? I'm not far from there either.
  9. Dude, more shots of that little man-made lake/recreational area at the front entrance to your estate should prove quite fruitful!
  10. LOL, I bought a Volvo 245 GLT for "shitzengiggles" the other night - it was a slug but I (kinda) fixed that with some mods to bring it up to around 170hp and a close ratio box. Before the mods it would barely get to the top of 3rd gear in most sections of a track, now it does a lot better - but it still only tops out at about 168km/h... Still haven't done any suspension mods and it manages to get around quite a few cars in the back sections of the tracks I've used it on, but it gets slaughtered once you get to a straight. I have only seen a single Stagea so far, but I didn't have enough credits to buy it at the time. That HKS CT230R Lancer is an awesome little thing to drive, though! Been using that a fair bit in arcade mode when I have friends over.
  11. Happy new year's, everyone!
  12. Yep, the key there is the aperture you're using. Smaller f-stop number = larger aperture, but quicker shutter speed = less in focus; Larger f-stop number = smaller aperture, but longer shutter speed = more in focus. Smaller apertures are great for taking macro shots or photos where you only want the focus on a certain part of the shot and everything else blurred, whereas larger apertures are for when you want more of the image in focus, which is probably what you're trying to achieve in your kitchen shot. You've used apertures between f/3.5 and f/5.0 for those kitchen shots, but if you were to take them again at between f/8 and f/11, you'll notice the difference. Just about everything should be in focus if you choose something around f/22
  13. You'll need to get yourself a cable remote, Rhys. There are a few different ones depending on which camera you've got. I bought a Canon RS-60E3 for the 450D, and luckily for me it also works with my 60D. I also bought the RC-6 wireless one, but you can't use that with the BULB effect as far as I know...
  14. Spotted a silver s1 C34 last night parked on Targo Road in Girraween/Toongabbie around 10.30pm
  15. I've notice that too, often parked in that big empty lot near the truck. (BTW, that truck reminds me of Optimus Prime for some reason, but I've never taken enough notice to even see if the colours/patterns match - I just know that it stands out.)
  16. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/348279-s-a-u-n-s-w-putty-road-cruise/ Please keep chat in that section to a minimum unless it's in regards to the event itself...
  17. That looks awesome - the colour of the wheels compliments the colour of the car so well, and that stance is perfect!
  18. Oh how I love B&H Photo - ordered some stuff off them Thursday night our time (which is Thursday morning NY time), and got it in yesterday's mail!!! Oh, and I love that the Aussie dollar is still strong against the US dollar.
  19. Yeah, condolences from me too, Jay. It's like you said, though: with a terminal (and often painful) illness, it's a mixed blessing between ending the pain and the ending of a life.
  20. Spotted a white V35 sedan parked on Hawksbury Road in Westmead today, behind Westmead Hospital. Also, I've been spotting a non-turbo black R33 coupe parked in Girraween on Targo Road a few times lately.
  21. So, kids, what's everyone up to over the Christmas break? Who'll be taking snapshots, and who'll be taking "proper" photos?
  22. LOL, even the mechanic was clueless, that's awesome.
  23. Nah, I'd say it's an XW
  24. Don't forget that if you get the rear strut brace it goes pretty much straight through the centre of your cargo area, so if you're going to be carrying stuff with the seats down, this is something you'll need to take into account. A rear sway bar should suffice...
  25. All good, Steve-O!
