  1. I love these shots, Jay - so simple, but you've got a good eye for shapes and leading lines. I was outside this afternoon doing the shots for my Canon competition entry, and once I was done with that I decided that I would try and experiment with the 100mm macro lens and see what I could find that might be interesting. See that thin metal rod coming into shot from the left of the photo? I don't remember it being there when I took this shot.
  2. Hmm, have you had a look at what the other entries are like, Owen? I wanted something completely different to what others have done - mine's not quite exactly how I wanted it, but it's pretty close and it wasn't easy to execute in the way I'd envisioned it. Oh well, it's done and it's been entered. The Canon site says it may take one or two days to appear because it has to go through their mods to be checked. Oh, I think the closing date is a bit ambiguous too, IIRC one section says it closes on the 26th, and another says the 28th.
  3. Where have you been hiding, Ian? Summer's closing in and the weather is nice - time to catch up for a beer or two!
  4. Damnit, preparing my egg for this Canon competition is doing my head in. I know what I want to achieve and how I want it to look, but getting it right is a whole other thing...
  5. I see you've entered, John - nice entry too (assuming it is you)! Thanks Steve-O!
  6. That *might* be StageIan.
  7. That sounds awesome, Dale! My oldies went to Woolies the other day and some guy was walking around with a trolley of random fruits and vegies that were going for $2 a bag, regardless of what fruits or vegies you put in those bags. The oldies scored some decent sized chillies (not sure what kind, but all of them were red or green), but they were very heavily packed with seeds and apparently were pretty hot, even according to my old man. If you want (and assuming there are some left), I'll take a snap and post it up - maybe you can identify them?
  8. Where was my phone call, punks?!?!?! You mean Matt and Kory, right Terry?
  9. Here's mine:
  10. Don't forget to factor in for the extra weight of the wagon body and all the extra glass - us C34 owners could just plump for R33 GTSt rear springs and shock, but they'd be the wrong set-up to use since we're carrying approx. 300kg more weight. Here's one idea I work all my buying decisions on: "Just because it's cheaper, doesn't mean it will be better value..." i.e. If you buy the springs (and maybe shocks, if you need them) off a Z33 or V35, but end up having to sell them to get something different later on, then it's quite possibly double the expense and double the time spent getting what you could have had in the first place with a bit of research/testing/etc.
  11. There's already a thread opened on this here...
  12. That's the current SAU-NSW club president, who also owns an 455rwkW R32 GT-R.
  13. From what I've read in a few different magazines now, I'm pretty sure that's how the new Commodores are set up - regular petrol on start-up, then switching to LPI once the car is running.
  14. Spotted a black V35 350GT this afternoon going past my street and then again on Station Road in Seven Hills. This was around 2pm today.
  15. OK, notes for next time - we NEVER go to Erina McDonalds because that's where all the d!ckhead trouble-makers hang out. We meet in the carpark at Fountain Plaza in Erina, then at about 10pm we head to West Gosford McDonalds to grab a quick feed and/or drink before heading home around 11pm (or earlier, depending on what time you want to get home). We've got permission from the owner(s) of the Plaza to hang out there, and the local cops leave us alone because they know we're not there being idiots like some of the crowd in the area...
  16. Bah, for fark's sake, I just started a Flickr account. Actually, it turns out I already have one - I jumped onto it and it already had my user-name on there ready to go! Bonus!
  17. Was wondering where you got to... What happened with the boys in blue, and where was this?
  18. I'm in. Iain, come up, radiator has waited this long, one more day can't hurt.
  19. Optional Nismo-spec leather grab handle for passers-by who want to come along for a ride?
  20. It might take a bit of reading, but have a look through this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ion-t53079.html SydneyKid did a LOT of work early in the piece to find out heaps about the suspension in the Stagea and used to offer a kit that he'd developed (he's a suspension engineer) for Stageas, Skylines, S-chassis cars (S13/S14/S15), and quite a few other cars.
  21. Yep, tried it with the IMG tags intact from PhotoBucket, then tried the direct links after adding the IMG tags myself - neither worked. Posting it to Flickr would mean me creating yet another bloody account that I don't really want to remember. And I've already got too many images on PB that's been linked here on SAU for the official merchandise and stuff.
  22. Same link I posted, Rhys... Oh, and make sure you get a quality charger too, it'll extend your battery life. http://protog.com.au/aa-rechargeable-batteries-c-33.html Next day delivery if you order before midday too!

  24. Yeah, I cant figure it out, Sidd. I linked it to my FB account and it's worked fine there, but I just cant get it working here, even though I KNOW that the link is correct.
