  1. Wow, that 100% crop looks surreal, like it's a plastic or rubber doll.
  2. Here's my behind-the-scenes shot from Sunday. Damned thing won't link from my Photobucket account, so I've done a direct upload to here.
  3. I was carrying some Duracell rechargeables on the weekend when Kory, Matt, Sidd and myself met up for a shoot, and they failed in my flashes, even though they'd previously been fully charged using a Powerex charger bought from here. I had to borrow Kory's Eneloops and use those (thanks again, by the way) - unfortunately I'd left my Eneloops at home... Oh well, at least it worked out in the end. The Eneloops are awesome, by comparison, so I'll be buying another 8 more of them soon so I always have them ready to go on hand even when carrying two flashes around like I had on the weekend.
  4. Spotted a white s2 C34 with a black or unpainted front bumper, parked in the carpark of "The Junction" on the corner of Briens Rd and Church Street, Northmead.
  5. Spotted about 5mins ago, a White M35 AR-X with a set of aftermarket wheels, turning right from Seven Hills Rd onto Station Rd in Seven Hills.
  6. Dirty Sanchez, Matt? Ahh, Kory, his mate, and the Lexus of man-lovin'...
  7. LOL, I think a majority of us are to some extent. Awesome work with that vid too, Jay (you crazy MoFo)!
  8. That'd be the Parkinson's kicking in, Shan. Or the fact that you're shooting Nikon.
  9. LOL, my camera hasn't even left the bag yet! Tomorrow I'll go through them.
  10. LOL, wasn't referring to you with the post count bumps! Some people join up and post the same or similar comment (like "nice car" or "awesome" or "great shots," etc.) in 10 different threads just so they can then send a PM to someone. Then you barely see them post another comment for ages. Oh, actually, I'd like to see pics of the AE92 Corolla, as an ex-AE94 owner myself!
  11. I should be in this week, boys.
  12. Sean, we were wondering where you were. Thinking about it, it would have been great to have your GT-R there beside the Evo IX, as both are white with black/dark grey wheels.
  13. Oh, I just noticed it's got WA rego plates on it too - great attention to detail.
  14. LOL @ hearse comments, I was gonna say the same thing. Looks great - a bit out of proportion, but it's not as if something like this would be easy to get right anyway, so kudos to your sister for the result! And happy birthday, dude!
  15. Spotted a black R34 GT or GTt (didn't check which it was exactly) parked at the top level of the car park @ Westpoint Blacktown. Didn't even notice it until I got out of my car, I'd parked my LOLvo right near it.
  16. I'm pretty sure I saw a Lambo Diablo convertible turning onto Pyrmont Bridge Road the other day around 12.45pm.
  17. Congrats, man, and welcome to the Stagea family! My sister has a Mazda3 Neo too, and it's a great little car. I agree with doing the speedo check against a GPS device. It's pretty dumb that in Victoria you can get booked for doing only 3km/h over the speed limit, when the ADRs allow for 10% variance either way to account for different tyre sizes, pressures, etc.
  18. Who else is entering this? It closes on November 25th.
  19. Here are a few cool links from SpeedHunters: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/11/04...tagea-axis.aspx http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/11/05...m35-stagea.aspx
  20. I'm in too.
  21. LOL, I don't blame you - the bokeh with this lens wide open is great! I can't believe it costs less than $130.
  22. OK, Matt and I just went for a quick look around Homebush and out the back of Rose Hill/Camelia. We found a few spots that might work for both the cars and the models, but it will depend on access available for the cars (I'll make some calls tomorrow). Moving the models around shouldn't be too much of an issue, and it will depend more on how their chosen outfits suit the locations. I'll post some quick photos shortly.
  23. This is exactly why we DON'T want these threads continuing on. One saying that's always stuck in my mind is: "There's always three sides to every story - his side, her side, and the truth..." If you're happy to deal with sending and receiving PMs, then fine, but otherwise, please refer to this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...er-t228238.html
  24. Owen (and anyone else who missed out on the Canon Photo5 comp), they've released (in conjunction with the Today show) a new brief that anyone can enter. http://www.canon.com.au/weekendtoday/brief.aspx
  25. Oh, about 4pm or so we had a whole bunch of choppers flying around the area (I think I read in the local paper that they'll be on some training session over the Parramatta council area). Anyway, I'd just got home and went to grab my camera to see if I could manage some panning shots, and they stopped coming past... They were flying right over my house too. There must have been at least 10 of them, maybe more.
