  1. Awesome! I love that colour too, but I'm biased because my Stagea is the same colour (or at least very similar).
  2. Just to confirm, AASA and CAMS are two different organisations. Either way, we accept both a CAMS licence or an AASA licence, and as AggroDave said, they're both usually valid for 12 months each.
  3. Ummm, you seem to have a bridge where your strut brace used to be... LOL @ "Ride Hight & Burn Out"
  4. Sammeh, I love these three from the latest batch!
  5. Static Ice for 7D body - Australia-wide: http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi...Answ&spos=1 Same for 5D body: http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi...body&spos=1 You can narrow those searches down to just your own state, or if you need it urgently B&H is the go, as long as you're ready to pay the import taxes - I just bought a lens, two filters and a genuine battery through them that added up to about $1,200, and I got stung for the import tax. However, I did have it that same week, and that's from NY.
  6. I'll warn you now that the Maxxis Victras can be VERY noisy - my sister has them on her Mazda3 (they came as part of the package when she wanted a set of wheels). A friend of ours also had a set on her R33 GTSt, and thought that her wheel bearings were shot. I told the friend that the tyres were most likely making the noise (having experienced them on my sister's car - I can't wait till they're due for replacement), but neither her nor her husband believed me, so she went and bought some front wheel bearings. She took the car to a mechanics' to have the bearings replaced, and they checked and found the bearings were fine. Just to be sure, they swapped wheels with an R32 GTR they had in the shop and took it for a run, and the noise was gone. Anyway, think of it this way: the tyres on your car are THE main source of traction, so regardless of how good your brakes and suspension are, and how much power your engine has, it all comes down to nothing unless you have a decent set of tyres to translate all that into proper grip. Therefore, NEVER skimp out on tyres, and ALWAYS buy the best you can afford.
  7. You can use your 1000D for time-lapse, but unfortunately it requires you set it up connected via USB to a computer or laptop. The Canon "EOS utility" software can control it to fire off at any intervals you want.
  8. LOL, I love the office clean-up one, Jay. Shame the battery died.
  9. LOL. Cable ties - so cheap, yet so versatile!
  10. Pfft, upload it to your FlickR account and then link, ya n00b!
  11. Check Kory (FST513)'s website, you might be in luck...
  12. Awesome stuff, Terry! ANY establishment that is happy with how we behaved provides a good reference to our standing in the car-loving community, and as Terry said, this is a credit to all the people and businesses that attended on the day. It's good to see that SAU-NSW, its members and its associated businesses are helping spread a positive message about owners of import and/or modified cars, and especially our club in particular.
  13. Any camera that can do interval shooting is good for time-lapse stuff. My little Ricoh R4 can do it, and it's probably at least 3yo.
  14. Nope, unfortunately not...
  15. Brett, get yourself a Spudz cleaning cloth or similar, or any micro-fibre cloth that you'd use to clean sunnies or glasses (or TV screens, monitors, etc.). The Spudz one is good because it folds up into the little bag that it comes in, and it's about 1" cubic, so it takes up very little room in your kit. http://www.spudzonline.com/
  16. Pfft, no matter what you buy you'll always have haters. Buy what suits YOU and YOUR needs, and just be prepared to have spare money for parts, labour, servicing, insurance, fuel, etc. As long as you know you're covering your costs and you like driving your car, then it's all worth it. I've had my Stagea for 5 years now, and even though it has had problems (and there are still a few issues here and there), I love just about every moment I spend driving it. Yes, the suspension is bumpy; yes, it drinks fuel at a pretty heavy rate; yes, I'm often wary of where I can leave it; etc., but I've never regretted buying it. I've got a MASSIVE list of other cars that I'd also love to own, but I can't see myself selling this car any time soon, and I can't honestly justify owning two cars.
  17. A family friend owned a BEAUTIFUL mint green C210 sedan, and I'd always said that I wanted to know if/when they were thinking of selling it so I could grab it. It had two lots of carpets on the floor, seat covers, and just about everything else needed to keep it in good condition. No-one in the family smoked, so I knew there'd be no surprises with burn marks here, there and everywhere. It was an auto but not that I was worried, I would either have made it a street sleeper with new engine/gearbox combo, or kept it as-is as an original car in incredible condition. Unfortunately it was sold without my knowing.
  18. Oh Sidd, 28th of November is the SAU-NSW Texikhana - you should come to that, and ENTER your Chaser!!! There's a link in my sig.
  19. Hey mate, you're new here, so we'll allow you a bit of free reign, but please use the search function! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ons-t92233.html
  20. Oh nice, Zennon. I'm going to the Motor Show in a few hours, taking the new lens to try out. 17-55mm f/2.8
  21. OK, so let's try and figure out a location to do this in. Is Homebush (somewhere around Olympic Park) okay? Pics outside of Acer Arena are overdone, but surely there are some other buildings in that area we could use. Plus, there's an increasing number of places to go for a feed or a few drinks around there too. What other areas have some interesting buildings (or other features) we could use as backdrops for photos?
  22. LOL, don't you wish it could translate your conversations to Japanese too? Calls to Japan from a mobile might be expensive, but if it means ordering parts direct from Nissan Japan, it might work out better in the long run. Wishful thinking...
  23. OK, in an effort to keep the discussions in the monthly photography threads based more on posting actual pictures and offering CC, let's put all other photography-related chats in this thread instead. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnddddddddddd GO! *waves green flag*
  24. LOL, if it were the end of the year right now, and you were to win, you'd need a tow truck to move the LOLvo, as it's currently lying dead in the garage with absolutely no power going through from the battery to the bits required to actually run the engine. The battery is only a few months old, and works fine. I can't turn the alarm/immobiliser off, so at least I know the car is reasonably safe in that regard, but in saying that it's a bit of a double-edged sword. Because I can't turn the ignition off, I can't close the driver's side window, so that much-needed wash is also being delayed. The car is filthy!!! OK, chat thread and competition threads are go!
