  1. Bah, it's already Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, and I only just saw this. Sorry dude...
  2. LOL Tom - before it was my eyes hurting, now it's my neck!
  3. About time they actually published this article, isn't it Brad? I'm pretty certain it's been listed to appear "in the next issue" twice before.. Awesome car, dude!
  4. Spotted Alex (PN-Mad) in his s2 M35 on Thursday night at the Coastie Cruise. Spotted a silver M35 with Qld rego plates on North Rocks Road, North Rocks this afternoon.
  5. In, pending time, date and location. What about somewhere around the middle of Sydney metro, maybe Homebush? Have a few drinks in the area then find a spot where we have options of landscape, cars, etc. It's a big area, so it shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere other than outside Acer Arena/ANZ Stadium to do it in.
  6. Wow, she's... ummm... cute! LOL
  7. Love those shots and the model, Sidd. Did you use a snoot to "channel" the light around her like that?
  8. And a good quality tripod is also an essential (or will become one soon if you intent to do any night and/or landscape shooting)
  9. LOL, sorry dude, not to take a stab at you, but if you have such a slim grasp on what lenses do what, then how can you say you've out-grown your camera? Seriously, Zennon stated the most important factors when he said that: * if you do want to get a completely new camera system and you only have one lens so far, then this is the time to do it because lenses are not cheap, and they don't work across different brands. If you wanted to use your current 18-55 Pentax lens on a Canon camera, it won't work. * if it's just a matter of wanting sharper, better quality photos, then maybe just a few new lenses attached to the camera you already own will be more than fine. Honestly, even a good quality 3.2MP point-and-shoot camera is more than sufficient to print decent A3-sized pictures. So getting a few different lenses for the Pentax you own already as your skills, requirements and budget allow will bring a whole new level to your photos. If you wanted to get something that shoots video too, then fair enough.
  10. Owen, that's exactly what I did when Ian Xmetal lent me his 50mmII f/1.8 lens to play with for a while. f/1.8, 1/500 sec., ISO 200: f/7.1, 1/50 sec., ISO 320: f/22, 1/13 sec., ISO 800:
  11. Pfft, you're just jealous because me and my car are built from 100% awesome!
  12. I use the same in my R32 GTR box.
  13. I've only got a single-DIN stereo now, so I mounted Exhaust Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure between the stereo and the HVAC controls (I managed to get an off-cut of 1cm thick thermo-plastic and cut the holes with a hole-saw), and Boost in a single Mearcat clock-replacement pod.
  14. NO! Oh alright, but only if you walk home!
  15. Yep. The Today Tonight website is set up pretty badly, and you can't increase the size of the video as far as I can see from a quick look, but last night's article is on there. Go to http://au.todaytonight.yahoo.com/video# and look for the article named "Pothole Fightback."
  16. Oh, my sister and her boyfriend said they saw a silver M35 in the car park at Coles in Penrith on Sunday some time - anyone here???
  17. Are those Victorian rules or NSW ones?
  18. Yep, as above, HID is the same as Xenon. HID = High Intensity Discharge, and the "Xenon" tag comes from the Xenon gas that they use to emit the light.
  19. I just spotted two C34s in the space of less than 1km and 5mins of each other: a dark grey s1 with black wheels parked on Dunmore Street in Wentworthville, and a white one (I think an s2, but I only just caught a glimpse of it - just long enough to notice it had R34 GTt wheels or similar) driving down Dunmore Street in Pendle Hill, heading in the direction towards where the grey one was parked. Unfortunately, I wasn't in mine...
  20. Apart from a single lunch-time blast in MSD00F's MX-5 (thanks again, Anna!) just before the battle courses were set up, the only burning and thrashing I did on the day was burning the sausages on the BBQ, and subsequently thrashing all your taste-buds as you all ate them. Many thanks to BenM and my little sister Rosie for help with the BBQ on the day! Oh well, next time I'll be out there giving the wagon another hiding, and hopefully I'll have some other Stageas along as well, and NOT just sitting in the car park.
  21. Black s1 R33 parked out the back of Winston Hills pub tonight, number plates ending in 25T.
  22. OK, totally disregard EVERYTHING I have said above, because clearly I'm an idiot! I bought the Narva replacement for LED's - it didn't work at all... I bought a genuine Nissan replacement - worked, but at that same really fast rate as if I had a blown globe... Re-installed the LED blinkers, and it's fine (they must have the required resistors built into them). It turns out that when I'd put the standard blinkers back, I somehow found a pair of globes with the wrong resistance (i.e. too low) and this was the cause of the whole problem. Seeing as I know very little about the electrical side of things (and the fact that I was in a rush, so I just grabbed two globes that initially worked), it was a simple mistake to make. I can get a refund back for the Narva flasher can, shame I can't do the same for the Nissan one (which, even with the discount, cost twice as much as the Narva unit). Meh. I'm $50 out of pocket (unless someone else needs it and wants to buy the genuine unit off me), but it's a lesson learnt.
  23. There is a link in my signature - download the form, fill it in, and send it to the address on the form, and make your payment into the SAU-NSW account.
  24. LOL, did you notice that just as you took off, Cass goes sliding through the shot with smoke pouring off the tyres of his car as well? Awesome vid!
  25. There's this guy, Chris - I think he owns and runs Craved Coatings, not sure... He built me a small stand for some of my DJ equipment, and coated it too. Great job and great guy!
