  1. I'm pretty sure that's Mike (mike40sydney) - his wife usually drives the car.
  2. First post updated as per Darrin's request!
  3. Sidd, are you borrowing lenses from friends, or hiring them? If you're hiring, where from, please?
  4. WooHoo! Project RB30DET in C34-R and Project RB30DE in R31 Skyline wagon both soon to begin!
  5. Awesome vid, Mike, and great song chosen by your mate too!
  6. I'll be sitting in the car with the heater on!
  7. LOL, it seems like the number of Stageas in and around the Blacktown, Parramatta and Hills regions of Sydney is increasing, yet we still very rarely catch sight of each other unless we plan to!
  8. That's an awesome idea! Yep, tyre pressures are meant to be checked when the tyres are cold - this is one rule many people forget! When you've driven them enough for some heat to get into them, then you have to allow for that extra pressure from the air expanding.
  9. Happy birthday, Neil!
  10. The "Vivid Festival" is on too, so bring a camera if you want to see some interesting light shows/projections onto the Opera House and a few other prominent buildings around the city.
  11. I thought the same thing - last year's did seem better, didn't it? Maybe we were both expecting too much? Same/similar angle, Sidd?
  12. Dude, you need to clean your sensor or lens - there's a HUGE black spot right in the middle of this photo...
  13. Bah, indeed! If I'd actually looked at it properly, I would have noticed that there were two (kind of parallel) arches instead of one, and the number of lanes...
  14. No whey!?!?!? I spotted YOU too, and Teren! I also spotted a silver M35 travelling along Mona Vale Road while I was waiting to turn right off Forest Way on the Pizza cruise today. This was just before 4pm. The first one (black with stripes) was most likely Craig (aka Jetwreck), and the second one *probably* Andy (Andy65b). (BTW, there are too many bloody Andrews here in the Stagea section!)
  15. It really wouldn't matter if it was a Labor or Liberal government in place, so they'll always be there regardless - the cameras make revenue and cost nothing compared to what it would require to do some ACTUAL work to decreasing our road toll and IMPROVING our driving skills as a whole. The government has always taken the easiest road out (and probably always WILL)...
  16. So, umm, we're here... Mars?
  17. I'm cruising down to spectate as well, but I'm not sure if I'm taking the LOLvo or cruising down with my sis in her Spazda3. I'm not entering my car because the clutch has been playing up quite a bit since Texi.
  18. Actually, the 18-55mm IS kit lens has been rated pretty damned highly for something so inexpensive, so if you need a zoom lens, just buy the package with just the 18-55mm (assuming you want a zoom lens to start out on). The extra money you would have spent on the second lens in the twin IS kit would be MUCH better invested in the Nifty Fifty that Zennon linked to - I have one, and agree that it is an incredible lens for what you pay for it (about $125)!
  19. Yeah, what they said... The EXIF data doesn't come up. And is that the bridge on Victoria Road near Birkinhead Point?
  20. LOL, did you move to Melbourne and not tell us, Tom?
  21. Couldn't you just turn on the auto-bracketing feature and the camera would automatically take three images at different exposure levels?
  22. Spotted Andy and beeped quite a few times on Sunday! Yeah, I was leaving the AGM, and that would have been Shell in her yellow R34.
  23. LOL, hire an airfield or go to the Holden proving grounds @ Lang Lang - I wanna see proof of the top speed!
  24. LOL, that's the standard s1 CD/tape deck, not a CD/MD player.
