  1. *whispers loudly "Everyone, say No!"
  2. Off a whipper-snipper?
  3. Oi you! Keep yer clothes on - we have young, easily impressionable people visit this site!
  4. Welcome to SAU, and to the Stagea section of the forums! Good to hear you're enjoying your new wheels - I've had mine (a green s1 converted to manual by the previous owner) for just over 4 years, and I still love driving it and using it in so many ways. It's awesome to have a sporty car that can carry so much stuff when I need it to, and a wagon that can be sporty when I'm in the mood for a bit of a cruise/drive. I also love that it flies under the radar of the constabulary (but it's likely that always having had a clean record on my licence helps). It's also awesome to see how much though the designers put into the car, with little details and luxuries that still don't appear in new cars, yet the Stagea is nearing 14 years old!
  5. Also spotted at a little restaurant in Ashfield, Albert's doppelgänger!
  6. Spotted about 5mins ago, silver s2 R33 with R32 GTR wheels, rego RR33GT
  7. Depending on the time of the meet-up and the area it's in, I might bring the LOLvo along. I might also use the opportunity to snap some photos off myself.
  8. Ouch, Scott - not a pretty sight. But as everyone has said, as long as you are safe, that's the main thing! Good to hear you're getting another Stagea too!
  9. *waits patiently...*
  10. Cloud and storms could work in your favour for photos, as long as it doesn't rain.
  11. Alright, dirtyRS4, if I'd seen your first post in reference to me, I'd also be pissed off and take offence to what you'd written. At no point is there any reference that your post was meant to be funny or sarcastic, so I don't blame Mike for trying to defend himself, and others to also come to his defence. Maybe you (and in fact, everyone) should read your posts two or three times BEFORE you hit that "Submit Post" button at the bottom of the page, and try and see it from another person's point of view. If there is any chance that someone will take offence to it, then it is YOUR responsibility to change what you've written to make it more acceptable. Let me make a particular point here: I DO NOT like the whole "political correctness" saga that the whole world seems to be bent on lately, but at the same time, I ALSO DO NOT like seeing or hearing something written or said where it can be taken out of context and cause offence (whether it was meant to or not). ABSOLUTELY NO MORE name calling is to continue in this thread, or formal warnings WILL be handed out.
  12. In this one, I love the reflection of the trumpet player in the horn of the instrument...
  13. I hope you'll keep this thread updated when you head o/seas, Sammeh!
  14. Nope, it's not an error that you've created the thread, and it IS a good warning. As previously mentioned, our club stance is that we don't condone street racing (we put events on so you can have fun in a legal and safe environment). However, we can't stop people from doing it unfortunately, so if people see these kinds of warnings and still get busted, then they're extra-special stupid!
  15. So, a few of you have asked about what went down on the day, and all I can say is that I had an absolute ball!!! Here's a link to the post-event chat, with photos and videos too! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Te...Te-t306227.html
  16. Nice work again, Ian! I can haz hi-res pictures of my car when you get a chance, please?
  17. Chill out, guys! This IS the stance we take as a club, and whether or not YOU adhere to it, we will continue to push it regardless. We want to promote responsible behaviour on the road, and will continue to push it if there is ANY chance that someone - anyone - will be stupid enough to misbehave on the road. Remember, there's always a bad apple on the tree, and it only takes one idiot to ruin it for everyone. Some clowns continue to buy performance cars and act like tools on the road, and subsequently EVERYONE gets tarnished with a bad name.
  18. I dare you to try it by kicking in the foot-operated park brake!
  19. Sidd, I love to fly under the radar, and that's also what I love about my Stagea. Even with the badges on that thing, people are still like "WTF?" when they see it. I'm not an extroverted person, so it suits me really well, and I love sleepers in general. An MX83-series Cressida with the JZX100-series 1JZ-GTE (ie single turbo, VVTi-L) engine and manual box would be awesome too! Just some lowering, a nice set of clean-cut mags, and dark tints.
  20. I'll take two - one for the back and one for the front!
  21. I want it Sidd! Seriously, if I could justify owning two cars, a manual JZX100 Chaser is at the top of the wish-list.
  22. Mike! Last time I saw you was at some dinner at The Great Northern. Good to have you back...
  23. Idiots like that are just asking for it - the problem is that our road safety education doesn't teach people to look out for things like that, so they probably know no better. People using their common sense? 'Sif that will ever happen! The first thing I do EVERY time I see an amber light is check my mirrors to see if there is either a truck behind me, or someone sitting WAY too close for my liking giving me reason to suspect they won't stop in time to avoid hitting my car if I were to hit the brakes. Many, many years ago (probably in the late '90's, I can't remember exactly) I got off a red-light camera conviction because I contested the fine/loss of points, due to the fact that at the time I had a truck behind me in my lane, I didn't know if it was empty or loaded, and wasn't sure if he'd be able to stop in time if I had chosen to hit the brakes. It was a downhill section of road, both longer and steeper than Pennant Hills Road, and there was other traffic around, so I couldn't change lanes. I wonder how many people put themselves in the place of a truck driver or motorbike rider when they're out on the road, or even allows for the abilities (or lack thereof) of other drivers and the vehicles they're in. Who can honestly say that they do?
