  1. Hey guys, just giving those that replied an update. We've booked in our cars for the wedding, and we won't be needing the assistance of any Stageas, sorry. We've hired a 1962 Bentley S3 and a 1963 Bentley S2, in reverse colours which look awesome. So thanks guys for the interest, but we've gone down a different route
  2. well it was on my Stagea, not a flogged R33
  3. Yeah I had one call from the Forum, but the guy wanted a swap, not a sale. I'm not in a huge rush anymore, i'm paying less for insurance on it now, which was one of the main reasons i was selling it. I'm happy to hang on to it until someone recognises the amount of effort i've put into the car to get it how it is now. I've got it advertised in the trading post and carsales as well. if it takes more than 2 months to get any serious interest i'll consider dropping the price, but i've spent over $20,000 in mods on this car, i don't want to sell out.
  4. Sorry, I actually don't mind the stock gauges, and i'm selling the car so no more mods.
  5. I'm going to list it on eBay soon, but I'd rather sell to an SAU member. make an offer if $200 is too high
  6. Just thought I'd share my awesome experience that I had today with my car insurance. I turned 25 2 weeks ago, and in my excitement decided to start looking for a new insurer, as Just Cars have been costing me about $2100 a year to insure my Stagea. I gave Shannons a call and got a nice price of $1600 a year from them. I then gave LSV a call (Lumley Special Vehicles) and the guy I talked to knew exactly what my car was, and was keen to get himself one. after an awesome conversation he gave me a quote of $998/yr inclusive of all taxes and whatnot. This can be paid quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, and it won't cost me a cent more to break the payments up. He gave me an agreed value of $20,000 (Just Cars would only give me about $17,000) with lifetime maximum no claim bonus. There were a few hitches, all my mods had to be legal (Which they are) and any mods I put on in the future have to also be legal, but I don't need to declare them. I had to park the car securely at night, and I also have secure parking at work which helped. No one under 25 can drive the car. I had to declare any and all speeding or traffic related offences for the past 5 years. I have 2 speeding over 15, 2 speeding under 15 and a neg driving charge. So anywho, these guys seem like a good deal if you haven't had any luck with Shannons, Just Car or other import insurers. Famous told me they don't insure any Stagea's made before 2001 which is a really odd thing I thought. If anyone wants this guys contact information, send me a PM. He was more than happy for me to call him on his personal work line, and he seems to have a love for Stageas. I'm sure he'd do a similar deal for anyone here. just note you do need to be over 25.
  7. Good point. I'm not that keen to sell it if I'll only get $13k or something as rediculous. I've got it advertised a bit, I'll try some more places.
  8. Haven't had much interest guys, might have to drop the price soon
  9. Hey Dale, is Pulsar SSS > Corolla SX?
  10. No one wants an awesome manual Stagea?
  11. Item: RB25DET Turbo & wastegate actuator Age: 180,000km from 96 Stagea Condition: Good, no shaft play Price: $200 To Fit: (What car) R33 Skyline, Series 1 Stagea, any RB25DET car. Location: Bathurst Contact: Andrew 0488218643 Comments: Replaced with GCG Hi-flo, turbo was still functioning perfectly up until then. It was run at 10psi, but never flogged in my Stagea. Missing the circlip that holds the actuator onto the wastegate lever, and the threads for the exhaust side were used in my conversion. Pictures:

  13. I had 2 female freinds shave their locks today, so I gave them some money. It all goes to the same place right? Also it's way funnier to see chicks shave their heads, then cry. hahaha
  14. Check out the manual conversion thread, it has priceless information about all the tricks we came upon while doing the conversion. It's stickied on the top of the page.

  20. What suspension did you have? This car handles very well, I've probably spent more on the suspension than any other one component.
  21. Spotted a Silver R34 driving into Bathurst from Orange today.
  22. The steering wheel symbol engages your tiptronic shifters The AWD button changes the torque split in the ATESSA form 80:20 to 50:50 The Snow button lowers engine torque and starts the car in 2nd gear to prevent wheel spin in slippery conditions

  24. Yeah Dan666 was, and I approached him but he couldn't help me. the stagea ones are different to the skyline ones. I guess you could try Jaycar or even go direct to Nissan for replacements.
