Well it's basically finished now. All i have to do is cover the mdf with carpet of some sort, and figure out why the stupid thing cuts out at high volume. also, for some reason my head unit now no longer functions and i have to use the remote all the time. anyways, tell me what you think

Hey guys, i jsut installed a new Pioneer MP3 head unit plugged into a V12 alpine 4/3/2 + sub Amp, running 2 10" subs. now when i turn the bass up, or even the volume up, the sound cuts out. i thought it might have been the subs drawing too much power, but when i turn the subs off it still does it when i turn the volume right up. now i've had pioneer head units before, but never plugged into amps. they didn't cut out like this, just became really distorted. The last time a stereo did anything like this was when the battery was flat. does this mean i need a new battery? it still does it with the car on or off. perhaps i need one of those 1 Farad capacitor things? anywho, any help would be appreciated

Stagea's with R34 GTR rims look awesome. if they weren't $3500 a set i'd be getting them right away.

Solartint in Belco did my skyline a while back, and i'm getting my stagea done there next week.

probably. i was out so late last night i caught the bus home, $1.30 instead of $20 taxi ride the only reason i saw it was i heard it turning on and thought "that sounds like a skyline turning on" and ran over to the servo just in time to see the car burn off. very nice colour.

It depends on which model you get. the RS4 has stock rims at 15" and the RS4 V has 16". my tyre chart thingy on my door says it came with 2 tyre sizes, 205/16/55 and 225/16/50

I'm getting my suspension all measured up next week by a place called Inline suspension in Queanbeyan. They're a whiteline dealer as well as others such as king, tein, bilstein etc. i can get the measurements from them if it would help

surely removing the front drive shaft would just make the car sit there and spin the dif. wouldn't you need to remove the drive shaft and then lock the front dif?

i spotted a lime green-ish R33 at the caltex around the corner from my house in kaleen thismorning on my stumble home from mooseheads. did a bit of a burnout on the way out of the servo. nice colour though

Here are some Pics of my great and glorious sub box it's not 100% because the stupid jigsaw broke this afternoon. i'd hoped to have it in one piece by now Also these are taken with my phone, my camera is in the er... shop. It's setup for 2 x 10" plus my 400mm long Amp, which is why it's so long. the subs are within about 5mm of touching the side, which are flush against the suspension towers in the back. there is about 20mm clearance on either side of the amp from the subs. once i get some carpet to match the boot, it will look a lot better, trust me

This is almost the exact same thing i'm doing with mine. great minds think alike It says on mine must be over 600kg on each corner. has cold inflation pressure and 2 sizes of tyres that the stock rims came with, 205 and 225.

i have a load rating and tyre size with offset thingy on the inside of the drivers door frame. is that what you mean?

C34 is the model number, shortened from WGNC34. it's the same as the designation of R33, R34 for skylines. RS4 is the version of the Stagea, it tells you what options the car comes with. RS4 V is the top model, then RS4, then 25X, then 25G... and so on. i hope that helps

i tell you what guys, making up a custom sub box that fits nicely in the boot of the stagea is a fun job. an entire day of jig sawing and i'm almost there. just gotta trim some bits, glue/nail it together and then find carpet to match the interior and it'll be all done. I suppose i should take down measurements for you guys in case you ever decide to make one. shouldn't be too hard to modify mine, it's nothing special. Anywho, off to Tempe tomorrow for some nice new wheels. sub box will have to wait until friday to be finished. i'll get pics up soon.

I spotted that too. i've been through fyshwick, queanbo, woden and belco today spotting skylines everywhere. they're like a bad smell now hehe, only joking One skyline that i did see the other day was a 2 tone silver on grey R33 being an absolute idiot up Benjamin way. i was on top of the lakeside multistorey carpark in belco and saw the car doing a burnout around the corner, then up the street. be a bit more careful during the day mate, there are people everywhere
