  1. Get a stagea they're almost skylines but bigger
  2. on the topic of tyres, anyone know what the usual price for a set of tyres for 18 x 8/7.5 rims? i'm tossing up between 18's and 17's for the stagea, and if rubber for 18's is much more then stuff it
  3. Very awesome night guys, nice to meet all of you. we need to do it again some time in warmer, more lit weather. gvie me a few weeks to get the stagea lowered with some rims then i'll be a lot happier to cruise around without looking so much like a volvo
  4. Spotted: about 10 or so lines behind me for a bit of the night. was an awesome cruise Sorry LTSJayce, that was my stagea kicking around. gave it a bit of a workout tonight, but she loved it.
  5. So how many peeps are meeting out by the rollercoaster tonight?
  6. nah, the rear subframe is still steel tubing. it's sitting out the back next to the diesel lab
  7. it would if that car hadn't been butchered for the 2003 car. this years car is a completely new design with all new parts. we're still using a monocoque and we've got a Yamaha R6 600cc engine instead, its a little smaller and lighter
  8. if the 2002 car was a disaster, the 2003 car was a world wide catastrophe. they were still building it while they were driving to adelaide. i've driven the 2003 car, it's fast, but very uncomfortable. being 6'2 didn't help. so much has gone wrong with the 2003 car since we've been driving it, i'm glad it wasn't on a track when those things broke (space frame welds breaking, caliper mounts breaking, stub axels breaking... the list goes on)
  9. When i lost my licence the time flew by. 3 months isn't as long as you think. it was a pain in the arse having to catch the bus to school again, but you end up with full points again. I think thats better than having to granny around with 1 or 2 points for 3 years
  10. I'm 4th year, just about finished finally. i was the president of ANUESA this year also, but that's not really a glory job. yeah i'm on the F-SAE car this year also, on the chassis group helping make the monocoque etc. we've almost finished the car, the comp is in less than a month. it's getting painted on monday.
  11. i would have walked past on my way back to the library after my lunch break, but i don't think i was being suspicious. did he have a black blink 182 shirt on? if so it was me being freaky, otherwise someone else is a freak
  12. a random import inspection more likely
  13. This is correct
  14. Spotted a red shiney SX Seca in the ANU carpark, this yours Andrew?
  15. woohoo, i'm an exception!
  16. I figured the motor on the rear hatch was for lazy people who couldn't be bothered to close the door properly... like me
  17. yeah, i don't have the stock front bar, i don't know if you can make it out from my avatar, but there's a lip attached. for an FMIC to fit, i'd have to hack away the piece of the bar that this lip is attached to, meaning the lip would fall off. I haven't tried to fit an FMIC in yet obviously though, are you using a 600 x 300?
  18. I'm looking at this conversion as i want an FMIC, but my front end won't allow it without some major hacking, and that just won't do. Maybe a group buy could be organised if enough people want it?
  19. I'll be keen, i've got an exam friday arvo, so i'll need to let some stress out.
