  1. That is actually an MX6, i've seen it in that carpark a lot lately. it's just got a really bad pink/pearl paintjob and a massive rear spoiler. never been a fan of MX6's Spotted the last few days in the ANU carpark, a blue/green colour R33 with 6 spoke wheels. been in the same carpark for 3 days now.
  2. Spotted: black R32 going down northbourne today, and also a gunmetal R33 at dickson tonight in the carpark
  3. I always thought it kicked in after 80kph, but i then read a post in the Stagea forum about what it actually does, so now i'm not so sure. check it out.
  4. dang. it's pretty chewed up from dragging on the road... gaffer tape will fix anything though
  5. If you want to install 6x9's in the parcel shelf on an R33, make sure you have a day spare. it took me the best part of a day to get them in there, they need some hefty spacers. i've had 2 headunits stolen, so i know my way around that area of the skyline. There's a headunit install guide on this site somewhere, i think in the maintenance section. give it a shot, it worked for me, 3 times now. door speakers are easy to get at too, just have to unhook the interior door panels and they're right there. some people have put 6x9's in the side of the passenger walls, just above the armrest in the backseat, but that requires some cutting, and i wasn't confident i could do that nicely.
  6. Alright driving tonight in the pouring rain i go through a massive puddle. almost straight afterwards i hear a clanking sound under the car. i don't know if it was just a coincidence with the puddle, but i got home and had a look under the car and there's a cable that looks like it's broken off from under the center of the car. i can only think that it's the handbrake cable, but the handbrake still works when i put it on. are there any other cable that run under the car alongside the driveshaft? otherwise i'll have to assume that only one of the cables ave broken and this still allows the other wheel to brake. cheers Terminal
  7. Yeah that weather was bad, i was all over the shop in my cruiser. i took the skyline out for a spin this arvo and although it was still slippery, the skyline has so much better handling and control. one thing i did find, i was driving along and i hear this strange wacking noise under the car. it goes away after a while, then returned on the way home. i got under the car and there's a loose cable hanging there. now i'm assuming its a handbrake cable, but my handbrake is still working. are there any other cables that run under the car along the driveshaft?
  8. Damn, a bloody roo jumped out in front of me going along haydon drv. when i hit the ancors it pulled me to the left and i mounted the gutter.... sounds like i busted something in my suspension/steering. how hard are lower control arms to get a hold of? i think mines bent now
  9. Too many negative thoughts of rain. it won't rain, it's all good.
  10. Spotted: White S1 R33 parked in civic across from the carpark.
  11. Spotted, Silver R33 GTR drove past me in Curtin. i was in my landcruiser though.
  12. Dude that sucks about the bar. i know what it's like having it stuffed, i've got one i'm painting up at the moment (400R) to replace my stock one my housemate put her towbar through
  13. i reckon we have to take at least one set of photos out the front of parliament house, it's the most recognisable icon in canberra.
  14. Spotted: Wine red R33 cruising down northbourne. had a big Nissan or Nismo sticker on the front window.
  15. Spotted: Gunmetal R32 in Kaleen on thursday night.
  16. All of my accidents have been with inanimate objects. concrete pole, tree, gutter, kangaroo... i didn't have insurance, but i don't think those objects were going to claim on me.
  17. How big is the boost guage (diameter), and does it come with a cup or stand?
  18. I've been targetting a few times. most noteably i was in the Canberra City on a friday night at about midnight after i had finished work. i was just driving through on my way home to get some food and fuel. i pulled out of the servo, then around a corner and got pulled over by cops. Now friday nights in the city are known for 'hoons' and a lot of people do cruise around in nice cars. this copper musn't have made his quota of defects or something, but he got out, came and talked to me, tried to accuse me of spinning my wheels out of the servo, but i held my ground and he backed off. while all this was happening his buddy was checking out my car, then came and asked me all sorts of questions like 'is this car modified?'. he asked me everything, but luckily i'd just had the car passed at the motor registry, so everything was legal, i even had the paperwork still in my glovebox. I dont think i made his night any better.
  19. does it have a brake light in the middle, or will that have to be installed separately?
  20. I jsut realised i've got a taekwondo tournament on that weekend, but it's only in Moss Vale, what time are people thinking this will start?
  21. spotted: White S1 R33 this arvo on haydon drv turning onto ginninderra drv. i was in the landcruiser following you. man cruisers are more massive than skylines
  22. what about out the front of Parliament house, seeing as this is SAU-ACT and it's the most prominant feature of our fair territory? or will johnny crack the shits at having all these 'hoons' 'loitering' out the front of his work? i don't know if you can drive up there yet though
  23. Do they still burn the same amount of oil as petrol? i know my mate used to take his colt to the servo and ask them to fill it with oil more often than petrol
  24. Spotted: Last night in civic, a nice silver S2 R33 drove past me in the carpark across from moose just after i had parked, and a stock S1 black R33 was parked in front of me later in the night. i didn't hit up braddon, especially after the debacle last weekend that went on there, 19 cars defected or something. bloody RTA.
