  1. Yeah I know, I saw your car after I ordered the parts. I don't need 4 cup holders in the front though, 2 is enough for me.
  2. I have, i got the blank plate for the cup holders and the blank plate for the auto indicators on the dash. I had problems with stock not being available, but as soon as it was, it took 3 days to get to me from Japan.
  3. still 206kW, and you get the benefit of cheaper insurance for being non-turbo.
  4. Well I'll stop making that claim then. I'm not sure where I picked that information up.
  5. Isn't the point of the AR-X that it has raised suspension for increased ground clearance?
  6. I have a feeling the Stagea runs the VQ35DE, but the V35 and Aus delivered VQ35 cars run the VQ35DD? I might be making that up, but that could be a factor?
  7. They don't make a lot of australian cars in wagon form anymore, perhaps Nissan are going that route and forcing anyone who wants luggage space to buy an SUV?
  8. they are not making an M36, the Stagea is not in production anymore
  9. I think you'll find the persons in question who have importe 2004 model M35's are engaging in a lengthy legal procedure with the importer who said compliance is available for their cars. It's a bit of a sore point with them as they're likely to be out of pocket a substantial amount.
  10. You need to install a standard handbrake from an R33 skyline. you will also need a bracket, the part number of which eludes me but i'm sure it's in the Manual Conversion thread. To use the central handbrake you need to get a manual centre console, or modify the auto one. it's not a quick and easy job converting, it took me a few months to get all the parts and convert everything.
  11. the VQ30DE and VQ35DE models are eligible for import, but do not have compliance, it's in the M35 thread which is stickied.
  12. I thought my mods would ease my consumption too, but it's still about the same as when I bought the car over 3 years ago. I guess I could look at it that I'm getting more power for the same fuel, so therefore my consumption is being optimised, but not reduced.
  13. I know there were a few Series 1 released with the NEO, but i didn't think there was a series 1 with the series 2 interior released. it looks like they updated the interior, perhaps it was one of the last of the series 1, and the dealer updated the interior to sell it easier once the series 2 came on the market? I wonder if the tiptronic works, as it still has the non-neo RB25, which i would assume had the same transmission as the series 1
  14. third party personal damage, compulsory insurance.
  15. sounds like the M35 is a bit better on fuel than the old C34, might be time for an upgrade soon.
  16. I got AAMI as cheapest for greenslips, I know where I'm going next time.
  17. It's definately aftermarket as the centre tailight wouldn't be in the window still if you had one on your spoiler from the factory.
  18. Yeah, its secure garaged. it has a list of mods as long as a kevin rudds 'sorry' speech though, so that might be one reason.
  19. my greenslip with NRMA was only $480 Can I ask again for GIO Custom Car Insurance's contact number?
  20. It must be location. when I got my R33 in 2003, i couldn't get full comp for less than $4000 with JCI. it's slowly come down since then, but it's still $1800 for me now in my Stagea. I think speeding fines just determine whether or not a company wants to insure you rather than how much your premium will be. All will be revealed on the 25th when I turn 25 and can start enjoying some cheaper insurance premius.
  21. what brand tweeters are you using? I have Pioneer ones, and I didn't put them in any case, just left them 'naked' and used the mounts for the old tweeters. there was plenty of room for them to move around, and I didn't have to remove the A-Pillar cover either.
  22. I have an aftermarket 260RS spoiler and it doesn't hit the roof, but it does have a very small tolerance between itself and the roof. My guess is someone has installed it incorrectly, or it's moved somehow since initial fitting.
  23. I'm in the same boat as you Tangles, i'd be lucky to get 350 - 340km out of a tank of premium. I'm running the stock auto ecu with a manual though, I think I need an aftermarket ECU.
  24. Yeah I remember talking to you a while ago when I had my Corolla Sportivo in there. I've met your mum before too, at the Shell on Stewart St once upon a time.
  25. That's my car! I don't recall having another stagea parked next to me at maccas.... I did see you the other day, my look was "Wholly crap another Stagea in town?" I would have waved but i had one hand on the gearstick and one on the steering wheel. Also I was trying to drive carefully as I had my 8 month old son asleep in the back. Oh, and your car looks similar to mine on the outside, but I think I have a few surprises on the inside Just quietly, you don't work at Toyota do you?
