  1. It depends which suburb you live in. I was in Belconnen central, then moved 2 suburbs away to Melba and I saved $90 a year on my third party. Rego shouldn't change much, as it's standard for whatever the weight of the car you own. CTP is included in ACT rego too.
  2. I was, but my power steering belt is shagged, so I don't want it to bust it while driving around.
  3. Spotted a green on grey R33 turning out of Belconnen this arvo.
  4. Thanks for that, I wasn't aware the petrol would erode the zip ties.
  5. Well I closed the fuel tank up after getting frustrated with it, also I was seeing purple elephants. I'll have anotehr go at it next weekend and just cable tie the pump onto the cradle. thanks for the help guys.
  6. When do you want them by? My mate is a pretty good photographer, but he's out of town for a few weeks.
  7. Well that's the most helpful thing I've seen all day, thank you very much for that. Not having a sock would affect how low into the tank the fuel can go before it can't pump any more? the sock sits quite low in the tank. I guess I'd just have to mount the pump in quite a ways. Thank you for those pics, very very awesome.
  8. I might just sell this 040 then and get something else at a later date when I actually need a fuel pump upgrade.
  9. I was going to replace the fuel pump in my stagea, however the cradle the stock one fits into is way too small for the Bosch 040 to fit. the attachements for the sock are completely different on both fuel pumps. What have other people done to upgrade their fuel pumps? I just want to make sure I don't wreck anything by installing either the wrong fuel pump or not mounting it properly
  10. I'm an SAU NSW club member. Being in ACT I'm limited to the number of club activities I can attend due to most of them being in Sydney, but the ACT crew are pretty friendly guys, even though they're not all financial members
  11. I'm finishing the final touches on my Stagea this weekend, so I'll be out in force next Friday.
  12. Since driving my new manual Stagea I've noticed my fuel efficiency has gone up from 17L/100km to 14L/100km. This is just from initial observations, but looks good
  13. My R33 had a clicking/ticking problem at idle, I believe it was the knock sensor on the engine. It wasn't 4WD so it couldn't be that. Maybe have a look into that?
  14. It's not a standard RB25DET, it's got a different coil cover and also the oil pipes are slightly different. Definitely NEO
  15. They're mainly S15's involved in the Nissan Sports Car Club.
  16. Oh, I can't wait to get my wagon on wakefield. Zang!
  17. spotted a dark blue series 1 in Metford today. I was walking past the Ice Box shops and the car drove past me. It has a large NISMO sticker on the back window.
  18. yeah mine shuddered a bit to when i first drove it, but it's getting better now. It might just be that I wasn't used to the brass button clutch I got.
  19. regap your sparkplugs to 0.8mm. I had this problem with my car a while back. I'm having it again now since I upgraded the turbo, but new coils will fix it. spark plugs are cheaper than coils.
  20. I'm in the same boat as duncan, never got the stagea up to that speed, but my old R33 definately stopped around 190 (on a private road). it's not a sudden jump though, just a gentle reduction in speed, then it speeds up again.
  21. Yeah mine had to be cut, so I don't think that boot would fit unless I welded in another piece of metal as Brendan describes. I'm not too fussed on that 'factory' look for my conversion so I'm just going to cover it with some rubber and sound deadening. It's all covered by the console anywho
