  1. Thanks guys, I think I've figured it out. I have an odd-shaped aftermarket dump pipe, and it requires a tricky little thing to do.
  2. I have a question. I'm half way through pulling mine off my Stagea, and I have no idea how to get the damn studs out on the ehaust side. I undo the nut, and it jams up against my dump pipe. I can't get the bolt, which turns out is 100% threaded, to turn at all. The nut just undoes over it. Does anyone have any secrets in how to get these bolts out of the turbo housing?
  3. Make sure your rear seat covers has a split in it, otherwise folding the seats down could be a problem
  4. That wasn't too bad for me. They hardest bit I found was getting that top bolt back into the pedal box. It took me about half an hour just to get that in. apart from that, I found that once you've undone all the bolts you can twist the whole steering column to get the bracket out of the way, and then the pedal box goes in really easily. I wish I'd figued it out while I was taking the old one out.... oh well, we live and learn
  5. I have a return feed FMIC, uses the factory piping, therefore no large pipe over the engine bay and I keep my washer bottle!
  6. some people have them without them. You can get infill panels from Nissan
  7. Well I didn't need to anyway, I have the new brake pedal box installed and the steering wheel back together. This is a milestone for me as I've been doing everything at night with a hand held torch. I have many cuts and bruises now.
  8. I've disconnected the battery, so the airbag shouldn't go off anyway.
  9. ah, well there you go. They must have added it recently, because it wasn't on the list when they first brought out the law. why not get a 1997 stagea then, it's not on the list
  10. Hooray, I got the brake pedal out!
  11. I think he's talking about dorifto_vip, his name is Andrew too...
  12. If you look at the list of restricted vehicles, the stagea isn't listed, so maybe you could get them on a technicality and still drive your stagea?
  13. Yes, starting was easy.... Now I need to find time to finish
  14. Well, After over a year of preparation, I have finally started my manual conversion. I took the front bumper off to get her up on stands while I put the clutch/brake pedals in, as well as a new turbo and replace a lot of worn seals. Hopefully in a few weekends I'll get it all finished, then it's off to the workshop for a quick gearbox switch-a-roo and I'm ready to go. PowerFC can wait a bit longer until I've got the car (and funds) back under control.
  15. Found this in the paper yesterday, just a little information for those who don't read newspapers. Cheers
  16. Spotted my Stagea being sad in my garage missing pieces....
  17. Well it has no engine mods, so I almost make the cut... It has a cracked windshield, no suspension (that I'm aware of) and the battery light keeps coming on. they're sort of 'mods' Oh, and it has this cool paint detail where stones have chipped the paint off and the rust stain has run down the paintwork.
  18. I'm always out and about, I've been involved in the ACT crew for about 3 years now. RWD aren't rare but they're not as popular as the AWD. You're essentially buying an R34 wagon. If you want a Stagea get the AWD model or buy a commodore wagon. I'm undergoing a Manual conversion at the moment, When I come out again with it I'll show you what they're like.
  19. Another Stagea in Canberra, welcome! I got mine done at Integra Automotive which is on Lanyon Drv just out of Queanbeyan, but my 100,000km service was about 3 years ago. It depends if you're northside or southside. Check out the SAU-ACT thread for good service locations, most people will tell you Trojan Motorsports in Mitchell. Autotech know the Stageas well now, an early stagea owner (Jay95R33) got a Unichip installed there.
  20. I get it bu tonly in reverse with 50/50 turned on. I figure it's just age as my car has done almost 200,000km. The fluid is always full and I've changed it regularly.
  21. I hit over 100 every morning along Ginniderra Drv & The new section of GDE. at 7am there's not much else on the road, and the speed cameras all point North
  22. Both of the locations on the Barton Highway are in 80 zones, just so people don't start going 100kph along that road.
  23. Spotted a white Cefiro as I was heading towards the airport thismorning, and then I was followed by a silver S1 R33 on my way back from Queanbeyan about 10:30. A couple of days ago I spotted 2 red R34 GTT's, one in the city with a massive black T-wing, and another with a large rear wing in Belconnen.
