  1. tried the fuses in the engine bay? also, make sure the kiddy lock hasn't been bumped accidently, it makes it stop working from either switch (front and rear)
  2. I've done a defensive driving course with Dereck from 5th gear. I'd advise everyone to do one, he really explains stuff well and it's good to know how to drive safer. It also teaches you a bit more about how your car handles in unepected situations.
  3. I had this problem with my R33. There's a relay in the computer that stops functioning properly. It took a couple of days diagnosis from my sparky. the only way to find it was to put a multi-meter across the battery, then you would hear a faint 'tick' from the computer. this was the only way to reset the relay, so they re-wired it and fixed it. It's not a faulty battery, I'd get soemone to look at your computer and see if they can fix it. They guys i had look at it were at The Battery Terminal in Jameson shops.
  4. I got engaged last september, can I be cool too?
  5. Searching will help you find all the answers. The 4WD button ('S' as you're calling it) locks the transfer case to 50:50 split. Without it pressed in, the car runs at 80:20 rear:front until it detects slip in the rear wheels, which then diverts it back to 4WD. A good idea is to leave this button off while driving, but when on slippery/icey/muddy roads, that is when the 50:50 split should be used.
  6. Don't make me hurt you...
  7. I had a guy do this to me, he was in a short wheel-base patrol. He sat behind me with his lights right in my face, i tapped the brakes and he freaked out because he was so close to me. He then overtakes me, sits in front of me and turns on some spot lights he has facing backwards! I couldn't believe how anal this guy was. Luckily I wasn't on that road (M2) for too long so I left him to think he's the most important person in the world.
  8. I could help in another year, sorry.
  9. Do you still need to get a look at my car? the missus said she'll be around home at 7pm tomorrow if you can get to Metford then.
  10. Let's just hope mine isn't playing up as well. I've been getting quite bad fuel consumption lately, and I've yet to pinpoint the problem due to my g/f's car being out of action. I'll let you know when she won't be using the car and you can go around and pull mine apart
  11. My g/f has my Stagea up in Maitland at the moment, I'll ask her if you can come around and have a play with my car if you need to to see if the CAS is playing up or if it's normal.
  12. It doesn't drive like a Volvo. I'm not 76 years old and blind/deaf/incontinent.
  13. I think you mean lose.
  14. It's a Stagea with a bodykit and interior styling upgrades by 'Dayz'. the 'S' designation means it's a factory 5 speed manual and shares suspension all around with R33 GTR's. Comes with the RB25DET NEO. They're a good car, but rare and pricey.
  15. I just had a martial arts lesson with an awesome dude named Richard Norton. He's been in a few movies with Jackie Chan and Chuck Norris and does all kinds of other cool stuff. Learnt so much, so don't cross me in a dark alley anymore, or else I'll have to try and remember what he taught me. Anywho, it was cool, i have bruises, yeah.
  16. I'd loan you my Stagea, it's equiped with a tow bar, but currently my g/f is using it as her car is out of action. I'll let you know later in the week if her car gets fixed.
  17. Damn there are a lot of nice stageas over in WA. I'll have to get my arse back over there to check out the scene one day. I was born in Perth but I haven't been there in almost 20 years since I was 4
  18. step 1: Buy new brake pads step 2: ..... step 3: Profit!
  19. His name is Tee, he's only rarely on the forums.
  20. Hmm, I don't remember an arse raping, perhaps I found my happy place. Maybe my prices were a little off. I don't remember the exact amount, btu it wasn't cheap.
  21. Haha, I saw that too but I wasn't sure if it was or not. good eyes
  22. I recently had mine done and needed a 15T press to get the bearings out of the hub because they were so shagged it wasn't funny. stagea shares a lot with R33, and the new bearings were around $150 - $200 a corner from memory. Best to get onto Nissan for prices, they can get them all.
  23. Drift stagea hey, that's odd. I only paid $240 for my R33 GTR box in japan, plus postage and all that junk it ended up being around $900
  24. Where have you seen GTR Boxes for $800? Before I bought mine from Jap auctions I was quoted $2000 for a GTR box.
