  1. You can have wider tyres on the front and rear so long a the rolling diameters are the same. he meantioned it was an RS Four, so I'd assume AWD.
  2. Yeah I think it is, but what can you do? I got good usage out of the car, i'm not selling it because it's got lots of km's on it, only because I need to move on to different (not better) things. The car runs fine, it's had a lot of work done to it, but it might just take some time to find the right buyer. No biggy for me, I'm happy to hang onto it until that time.
  3. Sorry, my sarcasm was lost in translation
  4. Since we're sharing, I'll let you all know what i've got. i jsut replaced my gearbox due to a naughty drive shaft shearing at the uni joint and punching a hole in my '98 R33 GTR box. I picked up a '94 R32 box (identical, just older) from a very nice chap. he told me the box was reconned at 25,000km before he got it, then he replaced it with a dog box. I get whine in 1st, 2nd 3rd & 5th, and it crunches into 4th if i shift to quickly. I also have a lot of clutch noise at idle in neutral. The good news is the box feels awesome, shifts well (except 4th sometimes) and the car doesn't have any vibrations or shudder or anything. I've put 75W90 oil in it, and i'm going to try some additive ot bring the noise down. After that i'll try a thicker oil or redline oil. So I don't think it's a big problem, but i'll let you all know in 6 months if it's worse, better or still the same
  5. The car has been kept in perfect condition, the usual chips and scratches from being 12 years old, but apart from that has never missed a beat. I've serviced it regularly with all the good oils, it's been checked out by a mechanic and given the all clear. it doesn't blow any smoke and is more efficient than when it came out of the factory. It's actually got 210,000km on it now, i've been doing some long distance driving. Thanks for stopping by! Lesh
  6. I heard U13 Bluebird (Altima) are a direct fit.
  7. Spotted the other silver Stagea in Bathurst yesterday, had a nice ding in the rear left passenger door, ouch.
  8. GLad to say the car is back on the road, thanks to some very helpful SAU guys selling me the parts. Now off to the bank for a loan to repay the mechanic... ugh
  9. Just had timing belt, water pump, idler and tensioner bearings and radiator hoses replaced, along with a new gearbox and front drive shaft due to a worn uni-joint. brand new front tyres, rears have done about 2000km.
  10. yeah if it's very low you'll gain a lot of camber, which will need either a kit or adjustable camber arms to fix. Basic wheel allignment shouldn't be a problem though.
  11. Mine shares a gearbox and drive shaft, so getting seals / gaskets was easy
  12. Not correct, the R32 GTR was aus delivered in limited numbers.
  13. Lobster!
  14. make sure you get Series 2 R33 or Stagea specific coils, as the Series 1 R33 are a different unit. This is for a Series 1 Stagea, the RB25NEO uses different coils agian
  15. just curious, why are all the measurements in US units?
  16. Spotted a Silver S2 at Sandgate Autos at Hexham. only $16k... damn they're cheap now.
  17. ah ok, does the standard wing fit where the plastic covers are? mine is just bolted directly into the tailgate, the covers are still there.
  18. I had a 260RS wing fitted a few years ago. its just bolted on with 2 bolts, fairly simple.
  19. Yeah it wasn't fun, especially since i was in peak hour traffic on the M4 in the right-most lane. luckily i had awesome NRMA coverage and they towed me back to Bathurst. I'm getting a new gearbox this weekend and should have the car back on the road mid next week.
  20. Passenger Door: 2 screws on the bottom edge, two under the handle trim and one in the indent for the dash. then it pops out of the clips and slips up over the window edge. Drivers Door: as above, but 1 screw behind handle trim, one under handle tray in arm rest. Rear Doors: as above, but only 1 screw along bottom edge
  21. Here's an update for those curious to know what a drive shaft uni joint snapping does to your gearbox.
  22. I'm starting a new Stagea build today. I've had the parts sitting around for over a year, and since i'm getting rid of my current one, i'd better start getting my new one together. I'll keep this thread updated as I progress for the keen beans. Cheers
