  1. mines very depressing also, as the car doesn't look that much different from when i bought it $200 CAI $1600 18" wheels $2500 or so on tyres thus far $600 front dump + hi-flo cat $180 platinum spark plugs $500 Autech spoiler $600 repair/respray side skirts $650 tow bar $1000 FMIC $1200 TEIN coilovers $800 whiteline sway bars $700 Adjustable camber arms $2000 stereo replacement $200 Tinting In the garage: $1400 Hi-flo turbo $900 PowerFC $900 manual console $1000 R33 GTR gearbox $600 misc manual conversion parts (pedals, flywheel, cylinders etc.) so i've spent a fair bit, most of that doesn't include labour either, as some i did myself others i got professionals in.
  2. i dunno, but i had my car parked on the street and i watched this guy fishtail past it with no rear tyres. there's an awesome line coming up the road now from the rim digging into the road. i wouldn't think you'd try and outrun the cops if you'd just stolen a car. i saw the guy in the car as he went past, he was all suited up. He didn't really look like the sort of person who would steal a car.
  3. I spotted a high speed chase going around my street tonight. some guy in a BA XR8 was trying to outrun 2 cop cars, although he seemed to have sustained a fair amount of damage to the rear of his car, and was missing his rear right tyre. he was grinding the rim along the road while revving the guts out of it to keep going. it was pretty cool, but i live in a circuit, so he went past my house, came out the other end of the circuit, then decided to go around again. the cops split up, obviously trying to stop him at both ends, but he just went around them, then spun out, kept it going and went down the street. i think they finally caught him down on kingsford smith drive, but it was still pretty cool. the noise was horrific, grinding rim and revving V8 combined with the 2 police sirens. i'm sure we'll read about it in the paper tomorrow or see it on TV
  4. i'm too tired to prove anything, maybe later
  5. bought it in October 04 while i was on the gold coast for the Indy 500. bought my R33 in July of 03, and straight after i regretted it and wanted a wagon again (first car was a kingswood wagon), then i found the stagea and since i bought the skyline i needed a stagea. This one came up for sale while i was at the gold coast so i snapped it up. I think i was about the 5th person on SAU with one, after SK, Prank, Jay95R33 and i think one more.
  6. maybe the series 2 did, but i'm pretty sure my skyline had 15" on the tyre placard. it had 17" when i bought it so i wouldn't know. leave my stagea out of this debate!
  7. That's why i don't drive a Holden/Ford, but i still have a nissan. if the R32's hadn't absolutly smashed the crap out of the V8's i'm sure the R33 would have been given a go. i did grow up in bathurst, so i have a soft spot for the V8's. you can't get that sound out of a 6.
  8. the wheels will be iffy, as hte R33 only came with 15" factory, and seeing as you can only go 1 inch larger and 1 wider, i don't think you can get 18" engineered, only 17". as for the other stuff i'd just not tell them, they won't see things like computer or boost controller if you don't have it stuck on your dash.
  9. I'm heading to bathurst to pick up my old R33, so i won't be out.
  10. this is going to be a fairly massive cruise up, looking good.
  11. yeah i saw you guys go past. i was getting in the shit from the missus, so i couldn't really start waving. man she can talk my ears off sometimes. your car looks good too.
  12. i think Prank was selling his wheels a while ago, not sure if they're sold yet.
  13. just a question, for us to enter as a club under SAU, do we need to get permission or something for this to happen, or should we just say we're the ACT skylines club? i know some of us aren't full paying members and that makes events like this a bit harder. has anyone organised an event under SAU before in the ACT?
  14. think of the children! their literacy is our responsibility!
  15. probably the last of a bush getting moved out from the extra force. also, if you car was doing hard 'breaking', i'd be worried.... breaking is expensive for cars
  16. oh, and i won't be going. g/f's mate is getting married that weekend, i'll be in gilgandra. i just wanted to get the ball rolling.
  17. yeah very nice colour, the rims look like autech rims. also, just to be correct, there's not such thing as an RS2. RS is rwd, RS-Four is awd
  18. I haven't seen any interest or notices about this one yet. last year we had a good showing, i can't remember but i think there were about 8 or so skylines and 2 stageas. This year I propose we get more people to come, and make sure the organisers of the event know we're coming so as to get a good spot in the park. start listing your names down if you're interested or want to come. 19. i get 360 out of my wagon, and it's 200kg heavier than your sporty things and an auto. - TAKE OFF THE FOOT!!!
  20. there are dozens of stories like that in bathurst, except conrod straight is only a 60 zone. every kid who gets his P's and their mum owns a hotted up commodore has been done thrashing it down conrod straight. cops don't look to kindly on the ones they catch, and i've heard of the phone book being used on some occasions
  21. i live in melba, it's pretty north. i'm free this sunday, want to get it done then? i can just loan them to you for a bit
  22. marc you have too many cars already, give her the madwagon and you should be driving your pocket rocket, if you ever get it back on the road
  23. you know it's probably the same fuel, most fuels are made in the same refinery depending on their location
  24. teins = goodness. yeah we could meet up, i work full time, but i have some time on the weekends. when do you need them?
  25. hi flo = goodness without changing anything else on your car.
