  1. Parked between 2 R33's at Zeffers in Belco tonight. also saw a Maroon R33 drive past in Gungahlin thisarvo and went past a silver R32 on my way to gunny that afternoon
  2. yeah maybe a stuffed uni joint or CV joint?
  3. i'm looking at getting my rear bumper repainted as i've already damaged it loading and unloading. i've seen taxi's with a protective strip over the bumper under the tailgate to stop the paint being damaged. i'm trying to source a clear hard vinyl strip or something similar to stick over the rear bumper just below the tailgate.
  4. what's an AFM exhaust? also the exhausts are the same from the turbo back, i'm not sure if there's a different flange for the NEO turbo though.
  5. I think it looks like a transformer!
  6. check this out, i came across it on another forum, don't know/care if it's been posted before http://www.jeddahboys.com/vb/showthread.php?t=37016
  7. not true, i have a muffler i got made up from the guys at city exhaust that passed over the pits quite well. i'd loan it to you but it either A) probably wouldn't fit as most exhausts are different and B) i don't own the car or the muffler anymore, but could get it in a week or so. they charged me $160 for a muffler that just bolts on where your existing muffler is, 2 bolts to remove and replace quiet muffler. go and have a talk to them, they're good at fixing that sort of stuff.
  8. spotted a few skylines on my trip to fyshwick thismorning. a silver R32 gave me a look coming off dairy flat road, and saw another gunmetal R32 going along wentworth ave, had a lot of stickers on it however, drift, nismo + a shopping list down the rear corner window
  9. Yeah i'll never be taking my car back to pedders. when i got my coilovers and sway bars installed, the caster rod bushes fell out of their socket while the car was in pieces. the standard ones should have taken 5Tonne to press in, so something went wrong there.
  10. i'm about to hit 180,000km, and also about to change to manual. car still goes fine, maybe head gasket should be replaced at 200,000 but nothing is leading me to believe anything is physically wrong with the engine. i've upgraded most parts i can without affecting the engine so that might have helped. i think the RB series are a strong engine.
  11. yeah a guy i work with had his house broken into today while he was at work, his missus came home and scared the crook off. that would suck worse than a car i think.
  12. probably has bumped into a gutter or 2. get a whiteline camber kit before you start replacing camber arms
  13. i had to raise my rear a little after getting coilovers installed, looks better now. i had the same issue you have with your ride height. stageas just naturally sink lower in the rear
  14. you're a month too late, i just bought a GCG hi-flo! damnit
  15. i doubt wheel bearings in a S2, possibly brakes or transmission noises?
  16. the Clyde and Brown Mt are awesome during the summer. i regularly head down either one of these to the south coast from canberra. nice windy roads through rainforest. can be a bit hairy in winter with thick fog, black ice and so on. stagea loves it however, it was built for that!
  17. YEP!! i got one! plenty of support for the RB25DET around, also the S1's are substantially cheaper. manual is obviously a drawcard, but if oyu're getting a wagon for what they're made for, you don't want to be pushing in a clutch with a heavy car behind it all day long. my auto has done me well, it's only recently i've started manual conversion. the auto is responsive, obviously the Series2 auto box is superior again.
  18. that's drinking night, no driving then
  19. Hmm, getting keener by the day about this. i'll put myself down as a maybe for now
  20. mine says a lot of things. it keeps telling me the old lady next door is getting hotter
  21. Well, i can vouch for the suspension upgrade doing its job properly. Although i do have TEIN not Bilstein, i do have the whilteline bars, and also adjustable camber arms. In the brake test, stopping as quick as possible from 60kph, i stopped a good 1m, maybe 1.5m shorter than an MR2. also on the stop and swerve test i missed the cones up to 75kph, which is as good as most small cars. everyone should upgrade from the soft spongey stock suspension and go for some nice tight coilovers and a set of sway bars.
  22. they're in my S1 i'm pretty sure, unless i was cleaning something else
  23. my fresh air/ recirculate motor shagged itself a while back, so when i removed it i saw these filters, gave them a blow out, probably needs it done every 12 months.
  24. yeah i've sourced all my own parts. i've been installing the easy bits myself too, the only thing i'll need done by someone else will be the actuall transmission swap. clutch pedal goes in this weekend now i've moved the footbrake to be a handbrake in the centre console. Anywho, back on topic, anyone out tonight? i was thinking of stopping past on my way through tonight.
  25. oh yeah, sorry. i was in another world when i posted that. my bad
