  1. I don't think they'll be too much to mod in that long, we'll be lucky to have petrol in 30 years. dunno what sort of mods you could do to an electric car
  2. Car is in bathurst, i need to bring it here so i can look after it/register it but i might take that offer up, see if i can get it registered in bathurst first
  3. My brother did a smart thing and let his skyline go out of rego more than 3 months, and he's jet setting off to europe for 8 months. i've said i'll register it so we can sell it. Does anyone have a car trailer i can borrow (for $$$ of course) for a day? otherwise i'll just hit up a servo or kennards, but i thought i'd see if anyone was nice enough to loan a fellow SAUer a trailer for cheap. Anywho, if not look out for my brothers skyline in a few weeks when it's registered and all shiny looking for a new owner
  4. I'll be happy to come along again, the first one was a great drive
  5. i bought mine because i had a skyline, but wanted a wagon like my first car. don't have any family and don't plan for at least 5 years, i'm having too much fun in my stagea to drive it 'safely' with kids in it
  6. just thinking about it, i wouldn't mind some new floor mats. i'll be watching you two 'brendans' as you call yourselves
  7. We usually meet on a friday night at the Museum, but as of late there hasn't been much interest in that. stay tuned as we get it back up and running with 20+ cars a night!
  8. Have you checked your attesa fluid or transmission fluid? i remember on my old automatic kingswood (yes i know it's completely different) i was getting a massive clunking noise and i thought the diff was stuffed. turns out the fluid was low and when i went around corners slowly the fluid would slosh to the edge of the reservoir and essentially the transmission wouldn't have any fluid running through it. start with the simple things first, then work your way to more expensive things (ie:diff)
  9. I got mine today, woohoo! now my 1/24 Skyline has a friend. well once i put it together that is.
  10. Same thing happened to my brothers Chaser. they had to remove the driving lights for some reason, and now he has holes where the driving lights should go. it's not hard to get new ones, just stupid they had to be removed. i don't even think they were xenon... it's stupid
  11. my mailbox was empty... oh well, there's always tomorrow!
  12. Spotted Mark going past me on Adelaide ave, i was in the slow lane turning off...
  13. I know she's the best series 1, but i just can't compete with all these white flashy series 2's coming into the ACT now...
  14. what's trash & treasure? oh... the woden car boot markets or whatever yeah me and my gf had our bikes in the back, went for a ride around woden to the lake and back. can't put 2 bikes in a skyline can you boys
  15. saw a guy with a white R33 Series 1 at the dickson servo this arvo, said g'day while filling up. saw a silver R33 with veilside kit in dickson too, had a blonde chick driving it. also a maroon R32 parked in the main street of dickson. bit of a skyline haven the old dickson is at the moment
  16. I agree with this 100%. sure you can do some nice mods to get it running, but keep in mind it might cost you more in the long run tha a more modern car with less problems. Still, it's good to see you've got yourself a car, i remember my first car, a 1971 POS Holden Kingswood, nothing special there. save up for a few more years then get yourself a nice R34 or similar. just a suggestion, you've seen what mick and mark have done with their R31's though
  17. I've already got clear front and side, so i figured clear S2 lights were the next thing to get. Although i am planning a paint colour change, so maybe smoked would suit i too, i guess time will tell
  18. Spotted a few R32's in civic thismorning when i went to get my car, also a white R32 GTR at North Oval
  19. how much did smoking the lights cost you? that's looks awesome! might smoke my old series 1 lights and see how they compare to my series 2 ones, then get rid of whichever i don't like
  20. i'm getting a set of series 2 lights from japan sent over, should be here in a week. they cost me just over $500 including postage. a couple of sets i saw went for over $600, not including postage to Aus, i just got lucky in the auctions
  21. Would that include the interior parts too? i don't think you'll find too many places willing to source those, sounds like Beastian went through a bit to get hte ones for himself
  22. we need to organise another big friday night in a few weeks to get the troops back in action, it's been a bit slack since summernats. i want to see the skylines back out in force
  23. My g/f said she saw a white stagea in the canberra centre carpark last night. she said it looked better than mine bit of a shot in the guts
  24. Yeah i'm interested too. i can get translation done if i need it, but a picture tells a thousand words
  25. saw a couple of black R33s in the carpark next to my site in civic, a series 1 and series 2. i think they're regulars to the carpark
