  1. Highly jealous of your build. I'll be watching this thread with lots of interest as you have or will be doing a lot of things i'll be doing in the future.
  2. Thanks Jason. I am really enthused to keep this project rolling along. I am a bit fazed as to what to do next... The front suspension needs to be changed as the left hand side damper is shot but I cannot make up my mind if I should do this for all four corners or just the fronts. I think I will end up doing all. Also the engine and box are going to come out in the near future. I want to do the bearings in the gearbox and change the turbos - but i'll have to wait until I get the funds to buy the turbos... Pulling the engine will also give me a great opportunity to spray the engine bay and paint all the accessories/ancilliaries back into their lovely orginal unmolested colours. What do you think about the engine covers? Should I do them the N1 silver in keeping with the car? I am currently leaning towards painting them the lovely red/pinky colour that some of the bnr34's had....
  3. I presume that was meant for me... I just checked my mail and the email I sent bounced. It has been re-sent now. Can you please make sure that it comes through and if not shoot me a PM or something so I dont miss out??? Thanks - Thomas.
  4. Awesome... I am definately looking into it... My engine and box will be coming out in the next couple of months to do a turbo swap amongst other things so will need an ecu after i'm done... Nice build!
  5. I know the feeling... I want to get sometime to work on my car. THe problem I run into is when I have time the car is at a shop, when I dont have time its in the garage... Are you liking the NISTUNE? Gave the result and reliability your after? I am considering this is the way to go for me soon...
  6. Location? What boost levels were you running them at? Can you get some part numbers for the NISMO dumps and NISMO manifold??? PM'd email address for pics.
  7. Can I update with awesome photos of the car finished? Um, no... Can I update with the care being fiddled and fixed? YES. Basically yesterday when I had gotten a lift and arrived in Fairy Meadow I got a call saying the car wouldnt be ready... I was already in town so decided to hang around and work on the car. I also bagged myself my old job back!!! Now I get to work a day a week at the hot rod shop! Really this is a shits and giggles job for me as it doesnt pay anywhere near as much as my other job but I love it. The car was in a little worse shape than I had originally thought (aren't they all?). The drivers side sill at the rear was completely shot. Not only the outer sill, but also the inner. So we had to cut it out and fabricate a new inner sill and outer sill patch which was quite big. The rear drivers wheel arch was kinda also rooted so we had to patch the bottom of it and weld up the outer panel... Good fun... The rear of the guard where it attaches to the rear valence behind the rear bumper had a couple of sections along the seam where the guard had rusted out on both sides... So we had to fabricate up some new patches and weld the bastards in... Also had to clean up the front guard where it had coroded! I didnt think that would be very common in the aluminium guards! Before: After: Then it was onto the fun job of sanding!!! You dont realise how much shit there is to sand on modern cars until you have to do one.... detachable side skirts, N1 lips and spoilers, etc... It was good fun though.... The car should be ready next friday - or so I am told...
  8. I'll have mine back tomorrow from the painters with a full genuine n1 kit on it... Well everything apart from the bonnet lip is genuine. I'll throw some pics up asap. Happy to help with recommending a body shop and/or paint prep if there is beers involved
  9. Want some awesome marketing advice? Learn to use the space bar! Proper grammar will help sell a product. On Topic If you're worried about the state of your paint prior to waxing I would possibly look at having a good panel shop/detailer to a buff/clean of the paint. Might cost a little bit but the results would be worth it.
  10. man, ouch... I can PM you the details for a good plastic surgeon if you'd like.
  11. Hmmmm... Having been here before a couple of times I can put in a few thoughts... Firstly - heat is your friend. You'd be suprised how much a hot air gun (or your Miss's hair dryer) will loosen up mastic or other window/body sealant. Secondly - and be careful with this - get your wax and grease remover and use it when the mastic/sealant is hot and runny... wipe to your hearts content.
  12. Are you still not willing to post the rims? If you are, can I get some more photos - one of each wheel and a couple of the tread? Cheers,
  13. I dropped the car off today to have the paint done.... And I hate going to ye ol' shop - makes me want to quit my current job and go back to working there... Check out some of the rides they're working on atm. I didnt go into the build side of the shop where the painted cars are kept today - but will get some photos of some of the cars next time... The boss was in painting a Camaro this morning when I went.
  14. Pics of the lights? I would be interested if in good nick. Happy to swap them for my GTR head lights.
  15. Cheers mate! All the re-o bars need to be trimmed to fit the n1 vents... But there is already a dimple shown in the re-o where to cut.
  16. I pulled the bar off the front of the car this afternoon and it was fun I will do a DIY write up soon for people that are interested. But here is the progression of the photos at least. I am not planning changing the intercooler at this stage in the game unless something really good comes along at the right price. I rubbed the front of the cooler back and gave it a prepsol... Then sprayed the front very lightly with engine enamel... This was the result... I need to get the car ready for driving down to get sprayed so had to mount the number plate back on.
  17. I dropped into Just Jap this afternoon as I had a few parts I wanted to pick up before the car goes in for it's respray next week... I have been thinking long and hard as to finishing off the N1 bodykit - so the bonnet lip and rear N1 spoiler. Well, I was plnning on buying the bonnet lip and they didnt have any of their fibreglass ones left so I picked up one of the carbon fibre ones. It will be painted so no one will be able to tell the difference anyway... Where I have been really uncertain is what to do about the rear N1 spoiler... I think they make the rear look quite 'complex' is the only way I can describe it, maybe too busy - messes up the clear lines... I asked the boys at Just Jap to bring one down so I could look at it on my car and they said they had a genuine OEM spoiler. Well, I like OEM gear - makes the car better'er Well in my opinion anyway... It weighs bugger all as well! THe paint is in shoddy order, but nothing some rubbing cannot fix
