  1. No point in doing the water pump yourself and having a workshop do the belt... You need to take the belt off to do the pump and ilder bearings, seals etc.... So get the shop to do the pump, belt, seals and bearings all at the same time
  2. NO BANANAS FOR YOU! i turned off the ebc so I was only running 8 pound.... unless its on R&R all the time, NO FIX! the car feels sluggish and not fun.... I wouldnt be hitting R&R at 8 pound would I? One reason I think I'm not is that I am sucking through the standard airbox without the snorkel... I.e. its drawing hot as air from the engine....

  4. will drop it this afternoon... Heres a question then: If I drop it back, and it is presently R&Ring, will I immediately notice that it isnt R&Ring? Or does it take time for the ECU to learn?
  5. I dont think its riching out... I never see any black puffs out the back... Fuel economy is ok as well.... i get roughly 540km per tank...
  6. Will get ECU!!!! I PROMISE!!!! Dont quite get how that is causing the air to bounce around though... Surely it is a mechanical issue rather then a tuning issue... THOUGH - I know there are issues caused by having mods and no ECU and that I'm sure I have some of them, dont understand how it would be casuing this issue
  7. At the moment I am making somewhere around 190rwkw... Although I think the dyno I ran it on was reading high.... So not sure, somewhere around that though I think.... I hit for some reason R&R about 12psi... Well at least I hit MORE R&R at that stage.... The car seems ok atm... I am planning on putting a GReddy EMU in within the next couple of months.... Hopefully that will let me finish off the engine mods for the time being and go about my way with the suspension...
  8. You my friend have hit the donkey on the head. I have stock AFM and ECU.... Is it the extra pressurised air in the system (due to larger turbo and front mount) causing the ECU to behave like a pork chop? If so, hows that? I'm not hitting R&R or fuel cut....
  9. hmm... I might pull her off and have a looky... Anyone know common causes for break-downs with them? Anything particular to look at?
  10. Yeah it kinda does... The car bucks when I change gear, so it I was worried that something is causing the airflow to be interupted
  11. Hi Ya'll, I have a stock plumb back on my s2 r33... It has a trust front mount, 11 psi of boost, high-flow turbo... When I change in-between gears it seems to hesitate and kangaroo a little bit... Wondering if this is because the BOV isn't opening fully and the pressurised air isn't getting out properly??? The BOV does make a bit of a fluttering noise... Cheers
  12. I would have two things to say. Most cops are OK. I am always polite and try to have my license waiting for them when I get pulled over which is always for an RBT!!! I have had them ask me to rev my engine up to 4000rpm to see how loud it is and they have always said good job and left me alone... But I hate the fact that I am always pulled over because I drive an import. I live in an area where there are smoky shit-boxes running rings around the town and none of them are ever pulled over and asked to rev their engine or have an epa check... It is a bit discrimitory... But hey, we all know thats the way things are when we buy imports...

  16. I had mine running 11psi... Was driving down hill and let off the accelerator and BOOM!!!!! both wheels disintergrated! run 10 pound if u must but no more...
  17. yeah definately go the 3". I think you can still get exhaust butterfly systems like the Apexi that used to be on the market. I've been looking for one for my car.
  18. I Have a Trust Power Extreme 2 Stainless cat back system and it awesome. I have been pulled over into defect bays and passed 3 times now!!!!!!!! Mind you I was still packing the pants full of goo.... I also have a just jap dump pipe and a high flow cat.... Looks sweet as well... None of the fake titanium tip crap
  19. starlet GT engines are awesome little things. I have one in a mini (old schooler), its not running yet. A couple of people in Aus are have them in minis and running 12sec passes out of the box.... For sure they SNAP my skyline

  21. SNAP! That looks freaking awesome... Wonder how functional it is, and how hard it would be to wire into a GTST.... Anybody with experience?
  22. the oil at start up will be cold, therefore thicker, meaning there is higher oil pressure. Once warm, it thins a litttle bit making it have less pressure...
  23. replace your fuel filter... if its clogged it wouldnt be helping.
  24. check you have the boost controller lines plugged on the right way... easy mistake and f#!ks your control over the boost funily enough
