Nuclear Skyline Gtr

There are a couple of things I need to do to the car... My turbo seals are rooted and shooting oil into the exhaust so I plan on upgrading the suckers within the next couple of months.... Just gathering parts for it now... To do that I plan on pulling the engine and gearbox which will allow me to clean the engine bay (possibly paint it as well), paint the engine covers, tidy up all the ancilliaries and importantly change the input shaft bearing in the gearbox as it is gettting a bit noisy... Then I will do the suspension - thinking either Teins or the BC gear - heard good reports about the BC gear... Do the brakes and most likely last on the list will be the wheels... I know they may the car look porn but I want reliable fun first and foremost. -

Yeah mate the r34 rims do look sex on bnr32s... The more I develop the car the more I like the thought of using as much genuine nissan parts - making the bnr32 what into an ultimate NISSAN special. Yep, my dash lights are sexy as blue and yes I installed them myself... Not to hard if your willing to get into it and have a go! -

Cheers Hylian! No issues with oil pump failures yet... My understanding is they only shit themselves when given high revs with big power - and at any rate this is the 94 model which means it has the better crank (same engine as R33 and r34)... I drive it on the highway a lot which means I dont flog it apart from getting it up to speed... I need to do suspension and turbo's before beating it too hard... -
see this is why I believe we should have a "oh, your too dumb to breed" section in the hospital... Anyone caught of doing truly dumb shit will have their balls lopped off or tubes tied.... very simple solution to over crowding and we get to breed a master race Hmmm, how very arian... Edit: Typo

Awesome build! Any reason you went the VQ instead of the RB??? I like the mis-match matchup though -

Whats wrong with the awesome tacho next to the speedo that came form factory??? Get a shift light, preferrably one of the pencil types that don't stick out like dogs balls and then you'll be set... -
Yeah I did a double take (read) on that one too! THanks for all the input guys... I am most likely either going to head down the antique route or have one made like many have suggested... Now to continuesaving the pennies...

Cheers onho - I think there would be a tiny difference, but you're right I dont think you'd be able to tell it at all. At this stage of the game I am not going for outright performance and am not flogging the car so it wouldnt make much of a difference at all... I have been tossing around the idea of what suspension to get... I have really nice Ohlins adjustable (damper only) in the back and absolute crap shocks in the front. The front left is knocking and is leaking oil so it is deinfately time to upgrade the shocks at the very least... I am trying to find out prices for a set of Ohlins for the front (but am slightly scared of what price they'll come out to be), or am thinking that I will sell the Ohlins in the back and get some BC's. THoughtS? -

Thanks for the input guys. I am not worried about the efficiency of the cooler as I plan on upgrading it later down the track when I get into engine mods. I dont think a grill is going to have a noticeable imapact on air flow - not at the power levels I have now or am looking to achieve, but will stop the bugs getting onto the cooler and I reckon they look good... -

Cheers Paul! Yeah the N1 bar looks great - I really like the look of it with the bonnet lip as well... Shame I am going to have to pull the front bar off to paint the grill... -

Cheers Terry! I have been thinking of doing this with a local jeweller. Problem is at the moment I dont know what I want apart from its meant to be a suprise for the misses... I am really looking forward to meeting you at the 21st bday cruise!
-
I am looking at getting an engagement ring for the misses in in the near future and was wondering if any of the NSW crew either work at a Jewellers or have good experience with any in the Sydney region...??? Cheers Guys.

Yeah I have thought about this. I do want to get a set of XD9's in 18x10 with a +12 offset but dont want to run them on the road every day... I do a lot of KMs a year so dont want a forged rim for everyday use... You reckon these will sit more inside the guards than the standard rims that are on it at the moment?

First of all - sorry about all the posts, I dont know why it triple posted yesterday and why none of them can be read! I have finished up my paint work on my bnr32 and now want to do the wheels. I have come across a set of 350z rims and think they'll look good on my car... The rims are 18x9 with an offset of +30. What do you think they'll look like? Car the car is like this:

OK. I finally have gotten round to taking some pictures of the car now its back! I need to give it a wash and take it out to a nicer location than my driveway to truly dothe finished result justice though. One thing I am not overly happy on is the colour of the grill... I want to paint it black - thoughts? Other than that, for a cheap tidy up of the car it has come out well... I have to say I love the N1 kit -

Those buddy clubs look McSweet! -
Indeed. I found some rather nice holes in the joint between the rear guards and the valence. Remove it, prep it and paint it.
