  1. Thanks mate. Concerning this kit. Has anyone hear used this before and how do you rate it in terms of Ease of fitting - any niggly bits that dont quite bolt straight on. Power - Does this make good power? Drivability - What kind of threshold will this this turbo fall under and will it suffer much lag?
  2. Hi all. I am having a right pain trying to choose a turbo for the R33. First its a standard carcus with all the gismos possible inside which are meant to be rated at 450bhp. Then its 3076 so I can hit the same power on lower boost. Ultimately its all going to be down to how custom I am willing to go to fit the 3076. So are there any kits already made up or will be soon that someone is going to stick on the market soon? Are they any from tuners already? I am talking the turbo, the dump pipe and front pipe section. What kind of boost can you safely run with just a metal HG upgrade (all other supporting mods) as I would only want to run 1.3 max with the hiflow or 1.2ish with the 3076. Thanks! Paul
  3. Thought I would post mine up then! R33 GTST Front to back Big FMIC Apexi Power Cone thing Custom made hard pipe off the turbo Nismo 555cc's injectors Some kind of turbo, looks standard but it aint! Turbo Elbow with screamer pipe Full kakimoto exhaust from elbow back Apexi Power FC Greddy Profec B spec 2 255lbh Walbro Fuel pump. @ 0.85 this made 299bhp @ 1.bar this made 336.3bhp (247kw) all at the fly.
  4. I think its because that over here in the UK putting new turbos that big onto the RB25 is not as common as there. They have plenty of knowledge they have a 600bhp RB25 they have done alot of work on, but that one had a different manifold. At the mo is a 3071 or 3037 the best option? I will be upgrading the head gasket also to make it a little safer.
  5. Thanks man, who wants a hardly used fuel pump lol. Anyway, fitting this thing? Is it straight forward or are there any tips you can tell me know before I start headscratching big time! Ive been told me tuners over here that only a nissan cased turbo fits the manifold, anything more and it needs a new manifold. p.s sorry for the rubbish typing above, i was in a rush this morning lol.
  6. Your kidding lol I only just upgraded the fuel pump! I dont really want an HKS turbo I would much prefer a Garrett. So Jono can the GT3037 fit onto a standard manifold or do you think going to a aftermarket one is worth is bang for buck? The turbo I had maxxed out at 336 @ 1 bar. 1.2 bar made hardly any difference is top end power so it wasnt worth it. I think it was the fact that the boost was dropping down to about 1.05 at the top of th erev range. If I start with the boost lower than this though, say 0.80 it creeps which drives me crazy so I need a set up that will eliminate boost creep as much as possible or entirely!
  7. Hey all. I am in a bit of a indecisive mood and cant work out what will be the next best mod I can do. I have a 1996 R33 GTST with the following mods. Apexi PFC Nismo 555cc's Full 3inch Exhaust + Downpipe Turbo Elbow with screamer Walbro 255lph fuel pump Steel internalled standard turbo Big FMIC Hard Piping Apexi Power cone thing Cold air box for cone thing Greddy Profec B Spec II for boost control. Its just recently had quite a bit of work done and made 336bhp (250kw) on 1 bar of boost. My target is 400bhp. What turbo will be best suited for this kind of power with the mods I have already? Options! 1) GT3071R 1a) as above on the standard manifold, does this fit? 1b) as above on a tubular manifold. Is this worth it? 2)GT3076R 2a) as above 2b)as above Has anyone got any pics of either of these mounted to a standard manifold and a tubular one and also what exhaust housing configuration do you all use? Whats the best for good spool but good power also. Thanks in advance Paul
