  1. My first ever DE+T build is into its 7th year of abuse. Cant say Ive ever used E85 on anything other than trying to fudge an emissions test lol. Have since built 3 more, all going strong also. Meh? lol you need to come around and grab it mayne, its here waiting for you. No regrets tho, my issues are in my big rear housing more than anything else. I need that casheeesh! But no rush its here when your ready
  2. +1 to above, your current setup is schmick - no need to change again
  3. Sorry mate, being a higher comp motor you will want something with some leeway. While the L2 10cm will be fine, you may not hit the mark in terms of 300kw. Lately I have found 98ron has been letting me down on DE+T builds (ive done a few). Be it myself wanting 300kw from a 25+T I would definitely look at a hypergear G3. It will make the said power goal and wont give you headroom issues in terms of restrictive housings or small compressors. Sometimes I find a higher comp motor to be more sensitive to wheel combos, but am pretty confident in the G3. Plus the G3 is bolt up to stock manifold and off the shelf dump, no bloody external gates or anything of that sort
  4. Hi all, Need a genuine garrett housing for a GT28 such as GT28R, GT2860RS (disco potato), GT2871R etc Must be .64 rear end - just the housing Mine is a .86 rear end and doesnt suit my application Thanks,
  5. Ah ok, sounds pointless.... Better off with an L2 lol
  6. ummm you mean the exhaust dump? thats not right.... it should be orrientated the same way as an RB25
  7. Have to say I agree Am now trying to source a .64 GT28 housing for my 28RS..... The whole element of rapid that I pursue is far from what I have
  8. Trent I recall you saying T518Z is 240-260 on 8cm and 260-280 for 10cm........ Has this since become a pipe dream? lol
  9. You must be kidding if all you want is 260kw from an 18g on E85 lol...... Trent has already said 280 on a 10cm in this thread, and I think he was referring to 98 ron.
  10. Cool. But I dont see it as something you couldnt replicate or exceed with an existing (read old) technology turbo.
  11. Yeap. A good insurance policy with road side assistance will come tow u for free if u break down. So push the car outside and create a problem the NRMA guys will not be able to fix (disconnect the fuel pump or something). Ask them to tow it to your mechanic of choice. NRMA = RACV (yiew mate jason from RACV - get it every day at work)
  12. Micks, too sexy for his shirt, too sexy for his shirt... Oh sorry I meant the pipes
  13. Roy did that front wheel come pre balanced or what? You just bolted it on? I thought turbos need to be balanced as a rotating assembly....
  14. agree to above. either sell your exhuast manifold or sell your exhaust housing.. if you sell the manifold buy a 6boost that suits t3 twin scroll, if you sell the exhaust housing buy an open frame t3 housing. simple stuff there again, ditch the greddy copy plenum and the 550cc injectors.. use the stock plenum and get injectors around the 800cc - 1000cc mark. you will want the headroom for E85 later.
  15. yeaaap shit adds up
  16. 2 of the big ones, I need em by tonight
  17. Didnt see you there Hanaldo, similar replies
  18. There is a BW EFR thread in this section that has the entire know history of these turbos documented in it. I will give you the link, I recommend you read it start to finish. Then pick a different turbo. Borg Warner EFR thread
  19. Holy happy pants moment.. I think 350 will be the upper limit on 98 but 330 shouldnt be an issue. Remember the exhaust housing is only a baby 10cm so it will max out sooner with a bigger motor. But the torque of what you just described will be insane... Power band extraordinaire!
  20. when you get a HKS exhaust and it says Jasma that means its considered road legal in japan atleast AFAIK anyway, not like any of us have a japanese handbook to rules and regs lol elrodeo666 could probably clarify if he saw this
  21. link? Jasma is a regulation, not a brand lol Its surely a knockoff if someone is now selling things branded Jasma
  22. DW I feel like a half arsed POS too lol, I now need to decide do I buy a new VCT actuator for $450 or do I buy Brian Crower cams for under $400 delivered......... Tough choice. Accordingly to Jezzup fixing the VCT wont warrant a retune but changing cam profile will warrant a retune. I also have NON VCT DE cams and gears I could whack in, cheapest option with a minor touch up on the tune.. Pretty happy with the result all things considered, the dyno sheet is on FB already if you wanna have a stalk. The old setup (more or less the same but with a DET rather than a DE and also made 200kw) was a lot more sluggish. This comes on rather lively and definitely is happy to go. But for some reason high load (ie on highway) it seems to hunt a little bit when trying to accelerate between 2000 and 4000rpm. I can only think it is attributed to the lack of VCT, and I'm hoping I'm not wrong. Am looking into cam specs between S13 and S15 DE's (i have a set of S13 DE cams at home to whack into my S15 DE motor if need be as stated prior). Le sigh lol
  23. Ahh sigh, shit go mick. I was wondering why no victory SMS I would have sent you one asking but i was busy picking up my car from whoop whoop my VCT failed me aswell, so its a little lazy in the low RPM but Ill get it sorted soon. Power up top is actually really nice. Got the tyres to stick around home, was belting it around for a bit. The Mrs was outside waiting for me, rekons she heard it from blocks away haha. When you gonna fix your gremlins Mick?
  24. Dori what paint is that man? I want to do my cooler pipes in a similar finish. If anyone is interested my 10:1cr SR made 200.5kw @ 13.3psi on the mainline today, running a GT2860RS disco and failed VCT. Generally those turbos do 220 if everything is good, considering im using the stock AFM with a 40mm ID and the compression of the motor (dont forget its on a mainline) Im pretty happy with that. Soon to find out how it drives when I pick it up from Jez.
  25. someone posted a video of an RB30 with a simple bolt on blowing a CBR600 on the street recently id say RB30 is awesome on the street...... but yeah, need more info re the current setup as stated. could chuck a WMI setup in and screw heaps more boost into it
