  1. This. And he hasnt mentioned AFM or Injectors.
  2. yeah I dunno, those nozzles would mist the intake, not inject a solid stream. I cant see it cutting through a comp wheel.
  3. Get that man a new! Six of one half a dozen of the other. The BB debate is so past its used by date I'm affraid my own car will smell of roten egg's if I run one (problem is I do). I really doubt the difference will be night and day when you test these new BB TD's. Best turbo's Ive owned or worked with have been journals. Worst have all been BB. Most responsive turbo Ive driven has been journal, laggiest has been BB. The above tells you nothing about what BB vs Journal is all about, again I dont think there is much point in building BB core TD turbos. Le meh.
  4. Hey guys, I recently got my new car which has a microtech pre installed... I dont want to start throwing money at it until I work out whats going on with it, I could really use a microtech hand controller to have a quick squiz at the tune and what the auxiliary is currently doing/what map sensor its got. Does anyone have a microtech hand controller and want to come let me use it for half an hour? Will shout you a maccas feed for your trouble. Thanks,
  5. Meh, pointless IMHO. BB cores are older than us, if it were so usefull Mitsu would have used them on their homologated Evo's. Those cars run TD05H-16G, bullsh*t response.
  6. 240kw fairly rich for stock injectors. Thats squeezing the lemon out of a near 20yo part. Mercury like their numbers.
  7. Fair enough and agreed on Simon. These L2 20Gs use the same rear end as Simon, so I suspect the Tial may be a winner again... Yet that is obviously based on how well the components flow as a system rather than the volume side of things, as the 25G flows a 'little' more volume lol. ARTZ may be a while, but Jezza needs to stop tuning other peoples cars so we can see some results from his own! lol I also thought of a new combo this morning that would be good (but all out custom as no T3 option) - TD06SL2 18g 8cm. Plenty of exhaust glow and a nicely balanced compressor. This one is for those who say the RB25 needs some good exhaust flow. Obviously the TD05H 18G in an 8cm would give some fking epic ZING.
  8. Stao that last post is very exciting stuff! Cant wait to see the results.
  9. Correct, TD06H-25G has a larger rear wheel to the T67. T67 is TD06SL2-25G
  10. Still available, honestly not wanting to sepparate control units etc. Want to sell as a whole. Thanks,
  11. Lol Harsh. Is very nice though!
  12. Does blowing into a tube sound like a whistle? The smaller gate and pipes would sound heaps aggressive as the gas fights to escape, the big ones would casually let it out with ease.
  13. I dont think you can have too much gate? Someone correct me if I'm wrong..
  14. Hey guys, Have a HKS EVC 4, no box but honestly top condition. http://www.nengun.com/hks/evc-iv The EVC 5 goes for $700+ Take this one for $400. Thanks,
  15. lol yeah, the 8 and 10cm rear would measure the same... Remember they bolt up to GTR dumps? Not like you can get an 8 or 10cm dump now is it.... lol What 8 or 10cm refers to is the inner volume of the turbine housing.. Not something you can measure with a verneer caliper, hope you didnt but them for this. However it appears you have your answer above anyhow. Troll
  16. Lol oh come on, that's what I'd be running. I want to see a T67 3L
  17. Start the car and see if the powersteering goes nuts. If so, it is the powersteer solenoid on the rack. Have done this myself. You lifted the motor out of the donor car (or your own) without unplugging the rack and it ripped the plug out.
  18. I keep telling you fool! That rear wheel, housing and gate combo Simon is running WORKS. It is the same rear wheel and housing you have, now get the gate to match! Tial MVR 44mm.
  19. Keep bashing that limiter and you will need to start your expensive conversion all over. The oil pumps in RBs are very weak and make the motor almost suicidal from stock. The reason why is because of the way it is driven off the crank, hitting the limiter will smash the pump to bits and have you nuke your whole motor in seconds not knowing you have no oil flow. If you did this conversion for a limiter loving drift or burnout pig you really picked the wrong motor. Lucky you this website is filled with an abundance of references to just how bad a choice it was. Just search 'oil pump fail'. As for the question, sounds like every other stock ecu RB ive smashed limiters with, in fact id be pretty confident I could find a video of my ex diesel limiter RB25.
  20. If that exhaust temp sensor is ripped out is there any chance it will make the car run like ass? Or is it unrelated to ECU variables?
  21. If the pistons are the same, and the CR is the same. Then it is safe to assume the chamber CC is also the same, which I believe is what your worried about? If im right and your only worried about the resultant CR, then prove the pistons and HG are the same. The reason I advise to do it this way is because I do not think you will find information on the heads actual difference.
  22. Yep when I had the same setup I had to buy a 5/16 compressor fitting for the hose. kekeke
  23. Be it myself I would want to give the Hypergear ATR43 G3 a go on a 30DET. They do a neat 300kw on an RB25, should be nice responsive on a 30DET too. Pretty sure they are close to a grand too, and use the factory dump pipes flange etc.. So its very easy to bolt up. XR6 will need a custom dump and not be as responsive.
