How Stiff Should A Wastegate Actuator Be?
GTScotT replied to TUF250's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If in doubt, buy mine. Wallah im in Bankstown come n get it LOL -
To OP: I'm sure this was a legitimate question, and am glad your mind is now at rest.. But, I LOL'd HARD.

Duncan have you considered having someone such as hypergear redo one of your china turbos? Surely he can redo it to a similar spec (achieve similar results) and his CHRA's seem to have reasonable rep for reliability. I am not recommending this, I would rather hear you got off your china high and bought a real turbo, but just wondering if you have considered the option.

Please see: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...49#entry5386849 Willing to trade for items listed in reply 3. Price drop $400 firm. It is a running car, you dont need to buy a thing. Worth nearly 3x.

Items I am looking for trade: - R33 front pipe - 70mm ID inlet - 80mm ID outlet. Will trade for my one piece (if you have a front pipe and no dump yet this would be perfect). - 3" (80mm ID) Cat. Branded etc. - Sidefeed injectors to suit R33, 6 of them, bigger than stock. Hiflows OK. - FMIC. Stealth preferred, branded would be best but I will consider a JJR. - Z32 AFM, dont need the plug. - Tyres, 245/45 17 or 234/45 17 in pairs. - R33 castor rods. - R33 rear camber arms. - Fuel pump, aftermarket suit R33 intank. Anything speed related for an ECR33 turbo really. I am willing to cash adjust either way. PM me.

Hey all, Got my stock R33 2IU turbo off the car now. Found it to be in excellent condition, no notable shaftplay! Exhaust wheel has a nice burn on it and front wheel in excellent condition. Comes with the elbow, drain outlet, oil line + bolts, one water line and one cut water line. Came off my car at 127xxxKM, no idea if its the original though. Replace your blown item or good upgrade for your RB20. $300 Also have my 3" 1 piece dump and front. Yep the bell mouth job 1 piecer. Mild steel job, usual surface rust. Seems to be of higher quality than most of the JJR/ebay ones, no grind marks from cleaning up gay welds. Pipe has been properly pressed into the flange and fits VERY well. Fitment is excellent and even bolt clearance was good enough to take it off with the turbo in the car! $100 OR $350 for both. Can also supply with a stock manifold if your looking for some DE+T love, Ill include it in the price for both. P.S. trades welcome. Cheers,

Upgrade Rb 20 Or Put Rb 25 Or 26 Into My R32 Gts-t?
GTScotT replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 I do however also have faith in a basic RB26 swap. The RB26 will land you more than what you are looking for on OEM parts. The RB25 will require a little more money thrown at it (ecu and turbo upgrades) to make that power. You can expect 260rwkw~ from an RB26 with exhaust, boost and remap (the stock ECU is remapable). The same mods from an RB25 will see roughly 200rwkw (but you will need slightly more than just an exhaust and remap). GL. -
You cannot change the injectors without a tune. To tune you will need an ecu. An ecu could set you back 2000 on its own, once bought and tuned. So really you have more saving to do Consider: Turbo swap around 2k - 4k depending on what you want Injectors 1k ECU 2k AFM 300 Fuel pump 300 You need all of the above pretty much all in 1 go. GL.

Over a 2 or 5 day event how many sets of tyres and brakes would one expect to go through?
-
what does this nismo wing look like? and is the GTR wing gone yet?
-
Qualified advice: Buy what you want, but most of the recommendations in this thread are unrelated and unnecessary. An alienware laptop is the Maserati of the laptop world. It looks weapons grade but realistically for all intended purposes its still just a high powered sedan. Toshiba satellite's are good value. End.

You need prices and description on all items mate. What is the condition of the gearbox?
-
They arent cheap no, my price is fair as is but i am mildly neg This is the 2nd edition pro kit with RTR running gear, everything hopped up out of the box. It was a short run and is no longer available. I remember seeing it on the HB euro site for 800+ as a chassis kit. Costed me abit from the US too, I just am not into nitro tho. Will trade for a HB cyclone rolling chassis + decent brushless system also. Cheers.
-
Currently has a pullstarter but will come with the rotorstarter and hardware (i have it from the original motor but not installed to the axial). Radio is the RTR gear, high hopes for a 2.4g set at that price

Still available guys, am willing to swap for items of use to an R33 GTST. 550cc+ injectors, ecu options, 300kmh dash, intercoolers, that sort of thing. Keep in mind this comes with everything you need to do 80kph across grass or dirt and will cop jumping 2 meters in the air no problem. I am also SOMEWHAT flexible on the price.
-
are you sure they are 325 and not 235?
-
how cheap?! lol

Your cousin has a point about the subaru, but that is much the same with all motors when you push the limits of them. Tune is always crucial. As for your mate with the cam shafts theory, I think he has some form of a decent theory in mind, yet basically that is bogus lol. If you want to compare your car to others, consider your drive train, engine and weight mostly. Then you can start looking into motor vs motor, IE RB25 vs 1JZ. Same configuration, same size etc, different outcome. There is a lot in it. FYI RWD is not the most efficient drivetrain, so dont praise its benefits too soon. Forums love to praise how much fwd sucks and how good rwd traction is, yet RWD skylines tend to wipe the floor with that whole traction theory.

Indeed you do, make that fit the stock manifold and at that price they will sell like hotcakes. Another item I would like to see available is an exhaust side spacer plate that is reversible to switch between RB25 and RB26 bolt patterns. the concept is simple, an bolt through the plate replaces the original studs in the end exhaust ports that are different, and a stud presses in from the opposite side to accept the alternate bolt pattern. By reversible I refer to both sets of bolt holts being able to accept a stud or bolt from both sides to make it easily reversed for the opposite application. Longer studs for the middle 4 cylinders will be needed to be supplied with the kit. This could see people converting to RB26 setups from their failing 20 or 25s without having to replace expensive manifolds, or could see more twin turbo setups floating around too.

Sorry mate, I couldnt link you to another product for obvious reasons. What I am refering to is merely a fuel rail that will fit an R33 RB25DET motor using top feed injectors from a R32 GTR (for example). What you would hope to acheive is a product that fits with minimal modification and comes with all parts necessary to install the set injector (bar the injectors themselves). This would mean the rail would require the fittings for the fuel lines, and come with new o-rings where required along with mounting hardware. The MAIN requirement is that the set will fit the motor with its factory intake inplace, there ARE products such as these on the market at present yet generally they do not fit with the factory intake in place.

Torque - Discussion, Physics, Displacement And Ideas
GTScotT replied to paulr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have read it many a time, and have faith in the GCG product, yet there are numbers and there are numbers. HKS themselves have also produced a document for the new 2835kai. It shows the GTRS vs 2835 and 2835kai, there would be a bee's dick between all of them, yet compare the performance of a 2835 equipped skyline to that of a GTRS or highflowed. Somewhat different to say the least. Power isn't everything, but delivery is king. End of the day, delivery is what we are talking about here, more so than actual torque figures. Food for thought, and please lets not turn this into a turbo battle.
