  1. I believe at some stage that was some form of HKS system. Having the Jasma badges indicates its a jap system, the way the mild steel has rusted shows jap metal grade and the 4 bolt mid flange is a HKS item. Unfortunately that does not look like anything that has been offered recently. I feel like this is more so a troll to bring attention to that gearbox mind telling us what that is?
  2. You said it.
  3. Sorry to say, yet I feel 500HP from -9s is really pushing the limits. 500HP = 375KW, assuming your would lose 50KW via the drivetrain thats still 325RWKW. 50KW loss is abit rich in itself. I know the talk, I also know the numbers.. I dont personally have faith in -9s for that sort of power on a stock RB. The RB just is not efficient enough in its given form to do that. When talking about a modified motor with better than standard VE and flow, I believe you could benefit from the 'laggier' turbos. The term 'dynamic' comes into effect, and while more boost at lower RPM may be acheived, it is not rocket science that pressure and flow are not one in the same. Dont want to start a turbo war here, yet food for thought.
  4. That is up to how crafty you are, I am assuming it is wanting to be used with a 90 degree fitting, as mentioned somehwere above. Do what you need. GL
  5. The rail is pressurized, meaning the injectors are not waiting for fuel to flow past them for it to be picked up, so its fine. End.
  6. It seems you have missed the OP's topic all together. He is asking what else is needed once he has this turbo bolted on, and what he can do with it in the meantime. I dont see an issue, chill.
  7. Sorry for the Hijack, any result feedback on that S-tech manifold? Price is good, quality SEEMS fine. Im curious as to flow... Would it outflow stock with that runner design or just look cool.... I know a proper one will outflow and make a mean sound.
  8. It purges the canister... Vents at various points etc. If you find it a challenege to remove the carbon canister setup correctly OR dont want to do it for legal reasons, replace the bit you broke. GL
  9. that pretty much explains itself mate, doesnt clear means doesnt clear unfortunately.
  10. A Garrett 3076r IS a HKS 3037, not a 2540 lol. The HKS 3037 comes with one off housings, you cannot buy these from garrett. Speculation only here, although garrett IW housings are hit and miss for boost delivery/holding. An externally gated garrett should not differ wildly from the HKS tho, other than minor AR differences. The cores ARE the same.
  11. Ill be there mate dont you worry
  12. This is crap. A good flowing cat is a must if you hope to get the most out of your setup.
  13. lol 1up for balls and originality.
  14. Item found, thanks anyway.
  15. whats it got on the back of it mate, a standard VGA plug? might be abit tough moving a cluster with a novelty lcd, you will need to obtain the hard/software to use the thing if you hope to obtain more than a dollar for it. solid advice, GL.
  16. Personally, I think there has got to be more there than the exhaust. For now, I would smash that cat out in case its blocked, but would not expect it to hold back boost delivery this much. I feel this is tune related.
  17. Hey guys, In a sump removal faux pas I have damaged the rear main seal retainer, serves me right for working straight through the night. Anyone with a blown SR not minding I strip one small part off it would be great, FWD or RWD or AWD doesnt matter. For reference: Part number 12296 Thanks all!
  18. 4th gear is a common issue, there is a set of clips under the gear that snap and cause crunching there after. Either way the gearbox will need to be rebuild by someone who really knows what their doing. GL
  19. Seen many work very well first hand. Never heard of one actually running bad, they are based on a stock car with no more than breathing mods. I personally believe limitations/expectations can be taken as the same as stock, with dyno time to support. Have although read LOTS of non-user feedback
  20. Well there you go! Although, they are the same size as a Z32 and have been said NOT to fit.
  21. Don't the front wheel drive SR20s and I THINK R32 RB20s have an item with an in and out fitting attached? I could be wrong though..
  22. Its a skyline, you automatically have hoon tattooed to your forehead when you drive it. Wear this with pride.
  23. It is doable, you will require a retune just as if you had installed Z32s or nismo AFMs. Guaranteed it is covered more than enough on the forum, it would be almost the exact same deal as installing Z32s. You will need a new suction pipe to fit the 80mm AFMs as the stocks are 65mm and you will need the plugs for them also. AFAIK you will also need to change your air filters. Thats EVERYTHING you need to know.
  24. Non owner here, I once sat shotgun in a members R35 he had purchased for track. The car was given a hard time for the sake of exhibiting its capabilities, although I recall thinking "Meh, my evo 4 was more of a hoot than this". My said evo 4 has sub 190awkw and was in near factory trim. That being said, run the two down the quarter OR round many circuits and we all know which will spank the other. BUT. I know what my ass told me, and that GTR was no evo 4 through those streets, end of story. Brakes on the GTR exhibited a level of confidence noobs would cherish, and handling was seemingly forgiving in nature. Although performance itself did not seem that dissimilar. Even the 0-100 sprints in whatever mode he had it in with the tune did not seem THAT much faster. Anyway, Im sure this post will spark hate in the hearts of many. Just my 2c
