  1. IMHO 380rwhp is excellent power for a well tuned RB25 of any spec running that particular turbo. BUT, the fact your using WMI tells me your either running a leaner tune or lots of timing. If its lots of timing I bet thats the fastest 380rwhp you have ever seen, so I dont know why you would want more.. BUT, if the WMI is there for the sake of leaner mixtures then you may want to speak to your builder about the motor. Tolerances may be sloppy, although thats simply speculation and I would take it up with the builder. A dyno read out wouldnt go a stray right now.
  2. A: Are you sure 4krpm is too late? Despite when it hits full boost how does it actually feel? And have you considered cam gears and/or a better tune OR whatever else could be lacking (as you have not mentioned). B: Is worrying about swapping back to type Bs really an issue if you choose to go for a 10krpm limit? GTSS and poncams... Are you sure? Sounds like you need to do both some R and D.
  3. 13:1 and 11:1 too rich? Are you sure? You might be surprised when asking real tuners their opinion on 12:1 AFRs.
  4. You do realize that the above information is irrelevant dont you? That 22kw would be like pissing in the wind for the R33 motor to make with the most minor of changes to the ecu. As per OP, major differences with the neo is the head and intake. The neo head has a smaller dome in the and will not work with such things as RB26 pistons etc. The intake manifold is said to be more efficient and uses top feed injectors which are cheaper to outsource. End result of similarly modified motors is relatively similar
  5. If you had a reasonable boost leak you could have possibly over boosted the turbos, although I doubt one event would kill it so quick. I would be going over as much as I can. What dumps/exhaust are you running?
  6. Dom is that the same silver item you took me for a wrap in some months ago? (came to buy helmets etc I was the wog). Perhaps its karma, all those half nekid pics of u in bed with wads of cash LOL
  7. try to it engine>gate>turbo>engine as your turbo is bound to be hotter than your gate. doing this should, in theory, work towards your cause.
  8. afaik it will only fit up one way that goes for both which pipe is which and how to install it GL and get cracking
  9. If its the stock ecu, it will richen up as you turn the boost up. But the question is why do you want it richer? 13:1 when spooling sounds ok and 11:1 on full song is pretty good to be honest.
  10. yeah, im betting nismos too. ill take that PM when your ready.
  11. OK easy way to tell there is a key way on the outside of the injector where the plug goes on. If the keyway is level (on the same spot both sides) they are aftermarket SARD/DENSO items. If the keyway is offset (one in the middle one to the bottom) they are stock S15 480cc injectors best to take a pic and post, btw PM me how much you want for them, cheers.
  12. 2 things to try: Cold comp test (not on a warmed up motor) Comp test with a cap full of oil down the cylinder (also cold) Doing it cold may show you less impressive results, and major variances in the results from a cap full of oil in the bore shows worn rings. Perhaps remove your front pipe and look for evidence of a greasy burn, all turbos with worn seals have been a little greasy in the exhaust housing that I have worked on. Realistically you are going to have to make your own decision here.. Another thing to note, is your breather setup stock (I noted you said you had a catch can) and how is it setup. Unfortunately these things are not as simply diagnosed as they are said, GL.
  13. Did he offer you a vipec too?
  14. Have you considered charge temps before the throttle? That's something I would like to know. Checked spark plugs for heat?
  15. Can someone confirm is the plugin vipec for R33 GTST has VCT control? I cannot find this info anywhere
  16. Ohh sly! not in the dyno thread, bad admin how dare you haha. All good. Back to topic.
  17. Nice, definitely interesting results. Although I am far from an E85 fan boy, but I am one of few and as we know majority rules So ill can it right the Similar to you, exhaust is my current dilemma. I dont want to change away from what I have although have intention to lean as hard as I can on a fairly basic setup. I want to set a reference point for the turbo really.. Unit is an off the shelf 3037, .87 rear, 80mm surge cover. I see you refer to your results often, although have been yet to find them in the dyno threads. Thanks for sharing.
  18. I was looking for somewhere to raise the question, thank you for the shameless plug. Now, I searched the v44 manual for the term VCT. Can you please confirm if the v44 suit rb25det has VCT or not?
  19. Out of curiosity what did you make RWKW from that setup
  20. Although what inlet manifold are you running? Did you do a conversion to run the GTR injectors or is it an RB20 inlet you are using?
  21. Nice work indeed, big ups.
  22. +1 to confirm rising rate is important, stock is rising rate. Can you confirm what motor you are running? You said RB25DET and GTR injectors... Unless its an R34 NEO can you please explain your use of GTR injectors? Cheers.
  23. World class?! Championship material hey, none of this third world spanner business. Dirty Brown Stuff. On behalf of manuel I would like to thank you for your compliment. Hooraa.
  24. ROFLMAO - Love this, I actually work in claims HAHA!
  25. He wants the ring gear off it no doubt, ahhh Jim.. An odd character.
