Id be condescending and arrogant too if some half wit with a two digit IQ thought it their duty to exercise their hypocritical vigilance against me on a public forum. Oh hang on, was I just?... Yep.

3 times in 5 years, your so evil, Waaaaaaa. I shat my pants when the bus cuts me off Waaaaaaa. Come chat when you get out of long bay, and say Hi to old mate for me. 3 times in 5 years... PPFffff.... On a serious note, if you want to own 180k car and have it insured, buy it with clean money. By the time you save up that sort of cash with hard work, you wont have had the time to break the speed limit and youll be 60 like the rest of the guys on here that own one. Then you can A: get insurance from Shannons and B: take it up the bum paying 5kpa and smile about it. Alternatively, drive something you can afford IE an S15, lose your license a few more times and be happy. I really am only paying you out about the clean money business, I dont know you from a bar of soap, yet 5kpa insurance is a pitance on a 180k vehicle. GL

If I knew where they were Id arrange to come get them HINT.

300kw from 2530s is abit short of expected. Correct me if Im wrong but on a properly built motor these are good for over 400? I would have expected atleast 350.

Although I am on the same page with you, running a thicker head gasket is also decomping the motor. Which, dependant on tune state, can drop combustion temps. I dont however think it helped tangles not blow his motor However it may have helped rad's motor last longer, which is also acheivable with less boost or timing or perhaps more fuel. Again if the motor had a hard life before meeting Sir Rad32, knight of the land of busted RB25, OR if the fuel pump had died or anything else... All theories would be null and void anyhow. 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Rebuild, recheck, retune. (re check all aspects INCL fuel system). Also, what sort of quality is your intercooler? Ever measured charge temps before the throttle?

Opinions On Current Setup On Mate's Car?
GTScotT replied to Touge Kyousou's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 that setup sounds good and is doing what it should -
Have you got a fuel pressure guage? Perhaps test that GTR pump. Im assuming its not a brand new pump, maybe it leaned out momentarily. AFAIK 280rwkw is borderline for a stock GTR pump.
-
Very true, that could be the missing link. I guess we dont really know enough of its history to give an accurate opinion, with this owner or the last.
-
100% tune related. the ring lands die from excessive heat and detonation. a 3076r @ 280rwkw on a 25 warrants neither. its not to say it couldnt be user error, yet generally my cars see 30 minute floggings at a time and are yet to see this issue. what are your AFs like? in the 12s i bet

Dont be silly man, change your plates and get it engineered... Dont give up something you love for the sake of aus best organized gang.. As said above, engineers and pass emissions and you should be fine. Next time you get pulled show em a photocopy of your engineers report. As long as it is concise you will be fine.. Most of them dont know enough to think past the engineers report, and the RTA knows this.

Hey all, I am considering selling my Hotbodies Lightning Stadium 2 Pro. Its as per the RTR kit with some minor upgrades: Axial .28RR motor GO ENGINE Race pipe NIMH 1800mah hump pack Ive had the thing for about 6 months and am hardly using it. I have a 1/10 touring that takes all my time so this is really not getting much use at all. Its a great truggy, Ive seen it 5 meters in the air stable, its good fun. The carbs out of tune and all my glow plugs are abit long in the tooth, but im sure I can supply a new glow plug for the $2.50 their worth lol. Links to what it is: http://www.hbeurope.com/kit.php?partNo=66786〈=en Will come with 3+L of fuel, glow warmer, remote etc etc etc etc etc. Everything needed to pull the cord and have the thing run and jump off whatever u throw it at. Try not to hit anything tho (esp urself) as it will do like 80kmh across grass or dirt. Price: $500 Pics on request. Its in good condition, bar the shell being scratched up as expected and 1 of the body posts being snapped off. P.S. will trade for items of interest to a R33 GTST. No cash adjustments your way tho, Im selling this to make money not give it away. Cheers,

whats it like when its warm? is it on a stock ecu? if its always idling very low and is on a stock ecu, perhaps try to adjust the idle up a touch. theres also a mixture screw on the back of the ecu that you could fatten up a touch, that makes them run a little easier when their cold. But if you add fuel on base idle you will also want to up the idle screw. GL

Hang on, 300kw on an unopened RB25 is so last whatever... Every man and his dog is running that without any issues. Push 20psi on a good tune and see what happens, people are doing a lazy 300kw on 17psi on 3076s left right and centre... Ill be one of them soon.

thats not the feeling i last had from a rb20det with just a catback. as per results last I drove one felt like it had plenty up top and a little lacking down low, the rb25 turbo added to this in both departments. sounds to me like you are missing your top end action. how long have you owned the car? was it like this from day one? things to test: fuel reg & fuel pump. suggested test: crimp the return hose off the reg, see if it does anything. this is to be done for TEST sake only and is TEMPORARY. I wouldnt run the car like that for long. $10 says its ur reg

I actually work in claims mate, as a third party you are not obligated to have your vehicle written off. The third parties insurance company are liable for all your expenses at your discretion, meaning you can have them make a pre accident value and pay you out on that if they dont think its repairable. But they do not take the car off you or cancel your rego, only the company that takes your vehicle on as a risk can do that. GL

Wtb R33 Or Possibly R32 Sa Or Melb
GTScotT replied to paulos's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I am considering selling my 33. Its a 93, manual, turbo, gunmetal, mspec front bar, eastbear side skirts, turbo back exhaust, hks pod, nismo shifter. Very basic mods, basically stock. It is VERY clean, VERY straight and VERY reliable. My old man was driving it to work and back for a few months, its got 126xxxkms. I will take 8k, rego expired on the 1st of june, I can put 6 months NSW rego on it for you within the next 2 weeks, and might event include it in the price. You will need to pay shipping or fly up and drive back. I sold my last car to a guy in SA, he is on the hardtuned forums now with just about the best evo 4 in the country, Ive never owned a dud. It really is no hassle to get the car down either. And you have PM with my phone number. -
did you swap everything from the one car to the other? complete harness? or you are trying to patch in?

Honest Opinions On Xforce Exhaust Systems
GTScotT replied to GTR_driver's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Only ever heard of issues with xforce cats and emissions, never heard a problem with actual systems. Put a full xforce including cat onto a s13 in 2005, still going. xforce rear muffler on my old NXR turbo since 2003, still going. Few other friends with similar experiences. xforce = good value for money. -
Quick Question For Mechanically Minded Ppl
GTScotT replied to GTRAAH's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Your motor should have a rev limiter still so damage to the motor would not be something crazy, although standard oil pumps and rev limiters dont go hand in hand with the RBs. Another thing to note is that when you do that you are flaring your clutch, this will kill it alot quicker than it should. Its all timing, it shouldnt be an accepted out come that you 'missed a gear'. Try driving fast in slow motion, sounds ridiculous but it works.. After a while ull get into a nice groove. GL -
Best Clutch For 400rwhp?
GTScotT replied to l0WRB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Could you confirm what colour the cover was and what disc was in it? Was it the glossy silver cover with the 3 puk plate? If so, what was drivability like on that one, and pedal effort etc. -

No worries, I also got trade price on that extreme drift kit (which is one fancy piece of kit I might add). $1200 no thanks, lol. -
Best Clutch For 400rwhp?
GTScotT replied to l0WRB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Sigh, this is getting complicated. The JB full monty, as per Jims mouth, is not built from an oem skyline clutch kit. I will not go into details of the mans secrets, not that they are worth anything to the banana benders who would want to know anyhow. This nonsense about exedy clutches slipping in 6 weeks is exactly that. So many cars come stock with exedy clutches, so many performance cars come stock with them, so many people use them, a couple of banana benders on one forum cant take that away from the company. End of story. Has everyone seen the damage a JB clutch did to finelines car? No need to go into detail, Jims clutches I am sure are fantastic to say the least. Realistically, shit happens. Justin, I contacted NPC last night and got the following info: We have 3 popular single plate options for your application. 1) 10” heavy duty organic kit up to 300 rwkw daily driver $643.50 2) 9.5” heavy duty sprung 5 puk button kit $643.50 up to 350rwkw 3) 10” heavy duty sprung 5 puk button kit $755 up to 400rwkw I have nothing to do with NPC so I cant say these prices stand for everyone or arent subject to change ETC although that is the email I received from them today. I havent had any exposure what so ever to an NPC clutch although am yet to read a noob failure report, so they could be worth a shot if you are feeling disheartened by the anti-exedy talk. The letters OEM in relation to exedy are not to be taken lightly, they KNOW what they are doing. -
Best Clutch For 400rwhp?
GTScotT replied to l0WRB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Justification? Exedy and daiken (same company) are one of the bigger OEM suppliers of clutches, that means ALOT of cars come stock with exedy clutches. Justin, the HHHDB is a good clutch mate. As stated its going to shock you how bitey and much of a leg work out it is, but its not truly excessive and prefectly drivable as a daily by many standards. Betting you will be a happy camper GL -
